  • A proper ball python setup is MANDATORY for your snake's survival! Reptiles rely solely on their environment in order to regulate their body temp and shed their skin properly. Without a proper ball python setup, your snake WILL DIE. Although there are many ways to appropriately house ball pythons, this video focuses solely on the glass tank method and the tub method as these are the methods that are least expensive and its more likely that beginners will choose between these options. Please continue to watch plenty of ball python care videos as reptile care is always changing! As always, thanks for watching :)

Last time I comment they do make heat pads that are safe for certain plastic totes and it's always recommended you put them on the side and never underneath to prevent it from overheating melting or catching fire.

Thank you for this video. Very informative! I’m going to the Midwest reptile show next month for a new ball python. Put a lot of things into perspective for me 🙏🏽

I also did a lot of research before I got my snake I also have a corn snake I use a mixture of echo earth and reptile soil and repti bark and it works great for the humidity requirements for a ball python

think people should do their research , alot research on bp. n give them the best life possible. I've been doing research now over a yr
I feel I'm comfortable now with bp n issues that come with them .your enclosures are set up great I suggest covering sides n back of glass enclosure with aquarium backing pictures.makesit more secure

I would say you forgot what type of thermometer you recommended for tubs and what type for glass tanks.

Really great informative video! I saw very similar advice in regards to the hognose snake - most people give advise to start them in small enclosures (as babies anyway), and then slowly upgrade them into larger enclosures and see how they do.
Also would love if you did a video featuring your rhino rat snake

Thanks for watching 🙌🏼 and I’ll definitely do a video on my rhino rat snakes soon.. I’m about to add some more live plants to their vivariums so as soon as I’m done with that I’ll be ready to film them. Thanks so much for the feedback! ❤️

this video was amazing. I’ve wanted a ball python for years and i do lots of research to make sure i’m ready. I just moved out, I don’t think my space is large enough for a full 40 gallon tank. How long could a young ball python be in a tub set up? (Of course increasing the size slowly as it grows)

3 1/2 minutes in hit me at a hard spot I spent $50 to rescue an adult snake but I was told was a male when was a female she was 3 years old and only 3 ft long because she was kept in a flat long shoe bin under the bed shoe bin with three other snakes she had snakebites up her back and side and when I got her because he said she hadn't ate and gave me a frozen rat and I fed it to her not thinking anything about it... That rat had a respiratory infection it was so hard to cure my snake of that when she was finally cured it had been eight months since she ate and no matter what I gave her no matter what I tried she would not eat after she died two months shy of a year of me having her
