    Omg. I don’t often get jealous but I’m aghast and agape at this bounty. The bots and all that agate. Incredible!

    Cool video Gunnar. Man to bad you guys didn't get that big piece that looked awesome. But you guys picked up some cool stuff. My last time in naches I noticed a green color like that next to a road think I'll stop next time would cool to find something like this

      You should check that out! Yeah it was such a tragedy that big one broke, especially since Nate got all the way with it. I wonder if it fractured when those big rocks fell on it towards the end. You should definitely check that out! I feel a lot more confident about looking for good spots in road cuts after this experience. Seeing all those round nodules poking out definitely is a good sign. Good luck Michael, I hope you find good stuff! Keep me posted!

      Thanks Nancy! I just purchased a cutter yesterday and I’m anxious to get it set up and start slicing and dicing. I’ll make a video! So many things I’ve been stockpiling to cut! Good to hear from you! -Gunnar

    Wow! What a great spot!!! Those teardrop agate nodules are really cool! I find tons of cool botryoidal quartz formations in Missouri it’s cool to see similar stuff from other places

      Awesome! Thank you for the kind comment Dustin! I just purchased my first saw so I’m very excited to cut into some of these nodules. Keep on rockin -Gunnar

    TOTAL congratulations on making a new discovery! Those are some significant agates. And the waterline agate growth below the botryoidal hollow. How cool! If you don’t have a lapidary saw, pm me on Instagram and I’d be happy to cut some of the larger ones!

    COOL.How does botryoidal texture form?

    • @gunnarnizzler
      @gunnarnizzler  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. I think I read that small needle like crystals form very tightly together and fuse together to make the bubble shapes but I’m not super sure that I’m correct haha that’s my current understanding 😄

      This was really epic! That botryoidal chalcedony looks exactly the same as the stuff I found in the western cascades here in Oregon!

      @@mitchgillilan Thanks Mitch! It was so much fun. I loved it. I have a batch in the tumbler right now. I want to cut the big ones soon. I’ll make a video! That’s cool you found stuff like that where you’re at too. I’m experimenting with cleaning it in different ways right now haha
