Ghana is often referenced as the safest country in Africa. While neighbouring and nearby countries experience political unrest, Ghana remains relatively peaceful. There are several videos and articles that share the positives of living in Ghana and how it can offer a new way of life to people.
In this video, I will share some details on some personal things no one tells you about living in Ghana and why its a great experience to have if you have never lived in Ghana.
    0:00 Intro
00:51 Ghana is an ideal place for single women to live
3:55 Ghana is the best place to build a community and avoid loneliness
8:02 Ghana will make you become a different person
11:00 Ghana allows you to experience so many cultures, foods and landscapes
13:02 Life in Ghana is not centred around work
15:25 Ghana has the best night life

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

There's so much to explore in Ghana. The food, the cultures, the traditional architecture, traditional attires, the savanna region biome, the rainforests, the pretty women. 😘👍
Ghana has a lot to offer to tourists and/or immigrants.

Jasmine I watched a VLOG about living longer and the vlogger interviewed people around the world living into late 90 and 100’s. One component mentioned was community to combat loneliness. I’m moving to Ghana in January and I was concerned about making friends in my 70’s. Your video addressed this concern right away. Thank you. I’m a writer and TH-camr so I won’t be idil, thanks hopefully we can meet next year. My name: Professor Wize

I have shared your videos along with other tubers about Ghana with my co-workers. I am surprised at the amount of them who are researching the prices of flights and hotels who want to visit and possibly relocate there. They are surprised at the beauty, and the warmth of the Ghanaian people. My wife met a young man at her church today who's family is Ghanaian, and his mother is there on vacation. We look forward to chatting with this family as we prepare to relocate to Ghana. Jasmine, your videos are very informative and provides lots of answer to questions that one may have about Ghana. You have definitely turned us on to Ghana and we look forward to making her our future home. Keep up the good work because you are making a difference in the lives of others around the globe. One Love!❤

The thing is in Africa/Ghana we live open life whereas in the west they live close life, that's why in Africa/Ghana you get help from anybody expecially if you are woman/single.

It may not stay so forever. The west too were open like us until they 'developed'. As we develop, we may become like them, especially if we don't consciously protect our 'openness'

@@berthaacquah3598the problem with Ghanaians is we don't rush in life as there's no hurry in life, the west created this hurry hurry culture to do business and get stressed out and die quickly and everything goes back to the government why rushing when the world will always be there just as we came to meet it,even after death😢 it will still be there😊 so we don't rush to do things and that's why there's no stress in Africa 🌍 ❤😂

Wonderful perspectives and very important to present the many positives of Ghana and Ghanaian cultures. Let's just not forget that there are also profound negatives depending on your perspective. Good for those planning to relocate to have a very balanced view to avoid misleading them. Many have relocated only to leave a few months, years later due to a range of very serious reasons.

The high cost of living, especially for Accra/tema is a major reason people pack up and leave. International students are suffering same fate. We should work on this. We want more people, from diverse backgrounds to have some Ghana experience. We should cut down on the greed especially in the real estate sector, we should remove some taxes from fuel to make it cheaper, we should reduce duty at the ports, ECG should collect more of their bills and reduce the high tariffs they charge, we should produce more food etc etc

Ghana is not a one stop country for everything and everybody, but it is a country that offers a lot of peace, prosperity, culture, community and love. People would come and some would go for many personal reasons but so it is for every country in the world. People have different needs and expectations. Not all can be met by Ghana. But for the many whose needs and expectations matches that of Ghana, it is one the best places to live on earth.

#1 seems to state that the "bad bitch" "super woman" persona can be retired. I've never thought it was good for women anyway.
Community cohesion is also a wonderful throw back kind of idea. When people used to look out for each other... that's nice.

I think we somehow managed to have brought the not-on-time thing across to the Caribbean with us, we call it "Island-Time" always about an half hour late. We will be there in a few minutes or will be over soon doesn't really mean what it says...LOL

In Ghana it's called GMT..........Ghana Maybe Time. Like say, 10AM GMT appointment. The Average Ghanaian would arrive 1 hour late or not at all. A play on Greenwich Mean Time.

That's true. I'm from the Caribbean living in the USA. A lot of what she says such as the men willingly extending help to a woman especially if you're single without ulterior motive is also true in the Caribbean. I'm planning to visit Ghana soon. From what I've learned from your videos, it seems to be very much like home. Thanks for the videos.

You know the beautiful thing about Jasmine is that you’re so positive! Mehn! There’s absolutely nothing Jasmine wants to tell you that she’s not going to leave you with some sort positivity. For instance, talking about the lateness, when I lived in Accra, being a Nigerian I had a problem with the laidbackness of Ghanaians. Omg! I’m always like, can you take life a little more seriously 😂 but I’m met with oh kakra kakra ohemaa 😂. It used to annoy me so much that at first I didn’t see the patience lesson it was teaching me.
I’m back to living in Nigeria now and I’d have people ask me why are you slow? 😂 and guess what? I’m almost always late for everything now 😂.

Jas you are a true example of a feminine female. Loved the orange theme by the way. Old fashion male female roles are great as long as mutual respect for each player exists. However freedom and choice is important, meaning a disciplined and productive life approach would be appropriate. Great points raised. ... Its that genuine persona and smile you have that assists the help activity how you treat others is critical to how you are then treated. 😊

All that you said is right but one important aspect that is killing us is poor conditions of work in respect to income and standard of living where most people are struggling. A good case here is how we hear news about nurses leaving Ghana to UK to enjoy good salary and income. These are things that need to be changed although we in hard economic times. That is why most people leave Ghana to oversees to to better their income.
