Ghana is often referenced as the safest country in Africa. While neighbouring and nearby countries experience political unrest, Ghana remains relatively peaceful. There are several videos and articles that share the positives of living in Ghana and how it can offer a new way of life to people.
In this video, I will share some details on some personal things no one tells you about living in Ghana and why its a great experience to have if you have never lived in Ghana.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
Apologies about the loud waves at the start of the video. I didn’t realize until I started editing.
If that part is an issue for u you can skip to 7:00 🙏🏾❤️
The waves are soothing Sis… stimulate the mind
No worries I enjoyed the wave 🌊
You can take it out easily in the post production though😊
I'm thinking of coming to Ghana in September!
Is that a good time of the year?
I wish I could get up, leave dis place and move to Ghana.
.... one day though, one day.
Yes plan well and come xx
There's so much to explore in Ghana. The food, the cultures, the traditional architecture, traditional attires, the savanna region biome, the rainforests, the pretty women. 😘👍
Ghana has a lot to offer to tourists and/or immigrants.
Completely agree 🙏🏾🥰
I keep leaving seeds in the hopes someone will get inspired. We should have an annual carnival where all the various cultures of Ghana come together to show music, fashion, food and creativity are celebrated together.
To explore women hum nonsense here
Wow 3 and a half years already!!!😊
Crazyy
I love the authenticity of #Jasmine; she gives a balanced perspective. You're making history in this time of #Awakening!
🙏🏾❤️
Ghana is one country that has always been on the top of my places to go and you just seal my intent.
Jasmine I watched a VLOG about living longer and the vlogger interviewed people around the world living into late 90 and 100’s. One component mentioned was community to combat loneliness. I’m moving to Ghana in January and I was concerned about making friends in my 70’s. Your video addressed this concern right away. Thank you. I’m a writer and TH-camr so I won’t be idil, thanks hopefully we can meet next year. My name: Professor Wize
I have shared your videos along with other tubers about Ghana with my co-workers. I am surprised at the amount of them who are researching the prices of flights and hotels who want to visit and possibly relocate there. They are surprised at the beauty, and the warmth of the Ghanaian people. My wife met a young man at her church today who's family is Ghanaian, and his mother is there on vacation. We look forward to chatting with this family as we prepare to relocate to Ghana. Jasmine, your videos are very informative and provides lots of answer to questions that one may have about Ghana. You have definitely turned us on to Ghana and we look forward to making her our future home. Keep up the good work because you are making a difference in the lives of others around the globe. One Love!❤
Amazing ❤️
My love for Ghana 1000% ❤️. Very nice folks
i am originally from ethiopia live in the US watching you make me want to just pack up and go to Ethiopia but it's not open like Ghana so might have to move to Ghana
The thing is in Africa/Ghana we live open life whereas in the west they live close life, that's why in Africa/Ghana you get help from anybody expecially if you are woman/single.
It may not stay so forever. The west too were open like us until they 'developed'. As we develop, we may become like them, especially if we don't consciously protect our 'openness'
Absolutely!
This advice is super true and useful! Loved the video ❤
So glad!🙏🏾❤️
Jasmine, as always you are on point. Always look forward to your videos. Well done 🥰👍🏿❤️.
Thank you so much 🤗🙏🏾
Sorry Jasmine I don’t think Ghanaians turn up late to board a flight so I will say if they turn up late to an appointment that is pure disrespectfulness. Also that laid back attitude to work is why nothing progresses in Ghana.. in any case thank you for videos which we always enjoy watching
Ghana 🇬🇭 ❤️ ♥️
Can’t wait to visit Ghana soon. Thanks for sharing.
Great video ❤
That’s a great idea 🎉🎉
This is awesome. Thanks for the insight!
I think this is such a great summary of the experiences I've had. I'm here on my 2nd trip to Ghana, and my mind is planning on how to transition my life here. But these are very good reasons and a breakdown that a Diasporan can relate to.
Thanks Jasmine, for always providing great nuggets of information👍
Work-life balance seems to be how life is like in Ghana, I had a small glimpse while I was there for my short visit. Looking forward to going back in the future... I could say it is the same for many countries in Africa. I live between Cameroon and England and Cameroon sounds like Ghana where life is really different and slow paced.... 💞
Thank you my homie girl . Great info video ❤
Any time! Xx
Well done Jas 👍
Another great content 💪👏, I missss home 🏡 .
Sister Ama we need Part 2
Great video Jasmine :)

Once again, thanks.
Glad it was helpful! 🙏🏾💕

Hey Jas. U are one great person really showing us new places of interest. We love it, at least I captured new places to eat when I’m in Ghana. The food, the environment so special and the serenity. Great work. Appreciate.

Thank you for information Knowing ❤🎉
My pleasure 😊
Looking gorgeous Jasmine. Thank you for your content. Am currently in Ghana and embracing everything. The only thing I can't deal with it presently is the rainy weather 🙈.
Aww i love the cooler weather from the rain though xx
😊Yh, it's that time of the year. But there's a lot to discover and enjoy! Do well to invite me.
@@JasmineAmaaI love the cooler breeze it breaks. The downside aspect is how slow things can be with business but heey we can't have it all so I keep my mouth shut 🙈🙈
@@berthaacquah3598the problem with Ghanaians is we don't rush in life as there's no hurry in life, the west created this hurry hurry culture to do business and get stressed out and die quickly and everything goes back to the government why rushing when the world will always be there just as we came to meet it,even after death😢 it will still be there😊 so we don't rush to do things and that's why there's no stress in Africa 🌍 ❤😂
@@gloriaaddae thanks for your opinion my dear😘
I watch for awhile n really love your channel, I'm coming to Ghana soon I wish I could meet with you. You are doing amazing job.
Nice educational videos. Ghana tourist board should hire you for the PR you just did.Where in Ghana did you record the video that is close to the ocean?
I was in Accra just for a few days in June and I longed to come back next year to explore the possibility of buying an apartment unit But not in Accra, but hopefully not too far to Accra. How can I reach out to you before next year?
I love to Ghana 🇬🇭 last year October 2022 to February 2023 and I coming back August 2023❤❤❤ I hope we meet up this time babe ❤
Yes here in America 🇺🇸 too this so true I truly agree
I had my car tire 🛞 blow out and on the highway in Chicago and no many didn’t stop and help and I had to pay $300 for tow truck 🛻 I didn’t know to put on my spare tires 🛞
Your videos have such amazing content. They are so informative and inspiring! Thank you for your time....😊

As always Jasmine is spitting gems. Thank you. Are there any Diaspora groups you'd recommend? In the West we live to work. In Africa, we work to live.

Can’t wait to visit. Ghana beautiful as always. Ladies are beautiful too
Wonderful perspectives and very important to present the many positives of Ghana and Ghanaian cultures. Let's just not forget that there are also profound negatives depending on your perspective. Good for those planning to relocate to have a very balanced view to avoid misleading them. Many have relocated only to leave a few months, years later due to a range of very serious reasons.
Yes definitely, i share all experiences i have had here in Ghana. Its definitely not one sided. Its just that in this particular video i am sharing positives of my experience 🥰
The high cost of living, especially for Accra/tema is a major reason people pack up and leave. International students are suffering same fate. We should work on this. We want more people, from diverse backgrounds to have some Ghana experience. We should cut down on the greed especially in the real estate sector, we should remove some taxes from fuel to make it cheaper, we should reduce duty at the ports, ECG should collect more of their bills and reduce the high tariffs they charge, we should produce more food etc etc
Ghana is not a one stop country for everything and everybody, but it is a country that offers a lot of peace, prosperity, culture, community and love. People would come and some would go for many personal reasons but so it is for every country in the world. People have different needs and expectations. Not all can be met by Ghana. But for the many whose needs and expectations matches that of Ghana, it is one the best places to live on earth.
Jasmine! I LOVED the BEACH SCENERY and you look FABULOUS! Yeah!
Thanks Howard, I thought it was stunning too. X
Ghanaians and Africans in general are chill people…. It’s a good thing ❤😊😂 ! I see it as relaxed ! Here in the US and other places people might tend be in a hurry so much , which leads to different attitudes mostly not well
#1 seems to state that the "bad bitch" "super woman" persona can be retired. I've never thought it was good for women anyway.
Community cohesion is also a wonderful throw back kind of idea. When people used to look out for each other... that's nice.
I agree. That persona seems to be a defense mechanism.
Jasmin AMA, thank you for your video I’m about to visit Ghana Accra about business opportunities……thank you
What was the name of that lovely neighbourhood you were walking through?
I’m sorry out of topic, you look amazing!!, how do you keep your body in shape? Because everytime I go back home, I always put on weight 😫. Thank you so much for your videos Jasmine. I miss home so much xx
U r so welcome, i work out 4 days a week xx
hi Jasmine love ur video and the outfit u r wearing too ? Ashley Australia
Thanks Ashley x
Beautiful, Why are you single. Thank you for the content. I have learned so much.
So happy to hear xx
Thanks
U r so kind, thank u Nana 🙏🏾❤️
Wow I can't believe it's been that long, I remember watching you pack to leave.
Hows the weather there I will be in Ghana on 14th of August ..
Can you repeat that, please🙏🏿,... I was totally distracted by your outfit😊
Seriously, I love this video. I grow up in an African American community that was one big family
🤣🙏🏾❤️❤️
Cool.
I think we somehow managed to have brought the not-on-time thing across to the Caribbean with us, we call it "Island-Time" always about an half hour late. We will be there in a few minutes or will be over soon doesn't really mean what it says...LOL
🤣🤣🤣 same in Ghana xx
In Ghana it's called GMT..........Ghana Maybe Time. Like say, 10AM GMT appointment. The Average Ghanaian would arrive 1 hour late or not at all. A play on Greenwich Mean Time.
That's true. I'm from the Caribbean living in the USA. A lot of what she says such as the men willingly extending help to a woman especially if you're single without ulterior motive is also true in the Caribbean. I'm planning to visit Ghana soon. From what I've learned from your videos, it seems to be very much like home. Thanks for the videos.

@@bowgate3817It is actually GHANA MAN TIME 😅
WOOW❤😊YOU DEFINITELY SOUND GREAT 👍 &AS USUAL SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL 😊
Thank you so much!! X
You left one important reason. Safety.
Three and half years wow - congratulations ❤❤❤❤
Thank u xx
Beautiful
Ive been on a utube break, but Jazz your still looking absolutely gorgeous I see. By the way there's only one thing I want in Ghana and it's not food.😅
You know the beautiful thing about Jasmine is that you’re so positive! Mehn! There’s absolutely nothing Jasmine wants to tell you that she’s not going to leave you with some sort positivity. For instance, talking about the lateness, when I lived in Accra, being a Nigerian I had a problem with the laidbackness of Ghanaians. Omg! I’m always like, can you take life a little more seriously 😂 but I’m met with oh kakra kakra ohemaa 😂. It used to annoy me so much that at first I didn’t see the patience lesson it was teaching me.
I’m back to living in Nigeria now and I’d have people ask me why are you slow? 😂 and guess what? I’m almost always late for everything now 😂.
🤣🤣 they will send u back to Ghana soon ohh
@@JasmineAmaa 😂 me kra I want to go back
Wow, 3 1/2 years already? I am planning this move ooo.
Its gone fastt
❤❤
Not going to lie but that THUMB NAIL got my attention!!
If I move there, what language other than English should I learn. It is important to learn to speak the native language even if they made an occupied language their official language.
Learn Twi, it’s widely spoken x
Enjoyed vlog. I want to live there one dsy.😂
Thanks Debra, hope u r able to make it xx
Hello jasmine how are you congratulations wow 3 in the half years, l hope stay in Africa like this, you look beautiful as always keep going 🎉;
Thanks Luis xx
Goddess ❤❤❤
Jas looking 🔥
Jas you are a true example of a feminine female. Loved the orange theme by the way. Old fashion male female roles are great as long as mutual respect for each player exists. However freedom and choice is important, meaning a disciplined and productive life approach would be appropriate. Great points raised. ... Its that genuine persona and smile you have that assists the help activity how you treat others is critical to how you are then treated. 😊
Thanks Ken. Absolutely agree about freedom and choice xx
I would have been interested in the answer to the question what it's like to live in Ghana as a European or Asian person :)
I want to come experience Ghana
Ghana ❤
🥰
Great video. But You in that red Outfit..... AMAZING!
Oh thank you Donald x
All that you said is right but one important aspect that is killing us is poor conditions of work in respect to income and standard of living where most people are struggling. A good case here is how we hear news about nurses leaving Ghana to UK to enjoy good salary and income. These are things that need to be changed although we in hard economic times. That is why most people leave Ghana to oversees to to better their income.
Very true
Standard in the UK are very expensive bills bills and more bills in Canada and the USA people are running out of those countries!
