Bonjour Sam and Sean, I agree 100% with you on the cats. The way you have it now is the best of all worlds. They get to experience the outside while being safe. The small critters around your land get to live another day, the most important thing is keeping them safe from all the wildlife around them. I am so looking forward the cottage being finished and what the new areas of your house will be. Thank you for the Q&A. Love from N.Y.
When i was younger i remember on a Sunday morning dad would dig a hole to bury the contents from the bucket in the outside loo and squares of newspaper hanging on the wall only electric lights no power points😅
Hercules and Lady Sam, I enjoyed watching you today, from your barn/bar/observatory. The constant birdsong in the background was heavenly. Your Q&A session was most enlightening, and I am excited that you will be occupying the cottage, when finished, as you do some remodeling in your present home. How convenient is that, to be able to live "on-site" while pursuing that? I adore your historical and quaint estate. Your stone "castle" is everyone's dream...multiple cottages, barns, greenhouse, pond, orchard, woods, gardens, a folly, a catio, an observatory...furnished with time-loved antiques with so much character, everywhere. Who could want more? And not to forget, 4 lions, real lions, guarding your valuable property, preserving the wildlife, while staying in their separate "orangerie setting" complete with jungle- gym for exercising and flexing their fierce muscles. You obviously love each other very much (yes, it shows, and you invigorate me with your travel and shopping forays with your lovely Queen Mother, Lady Jasmine and the Lords Tom and Jack, when you treat each other so well and take time for a cuppa and various French cuisine choices and locations for sightseeing, together). Spring is here, which is so welcome. I anticipate many more fun videos by you to come. In the meantime, thank you for bringing such continued enjoyment to me in the USA, near the Mississippi and Red Rivers and Lake Superior; similar landscape to you, but hotter summers and colder winters. Thank you, sweet Hercules family...
I think you are both great parents of the cats. You take good care of the, and they’re happy and healthy as you said. But even though they are indoor cats you give them such a beautiful, safe space to play and romp around in the sunshine and fresh air. Thank you for the question and answer episode. xx
Lovely hearing your responses to the questions, and by the way, you're not 'molly-coddling' your cats, you are responsible cat owners. I was so pleased to see you were not just letting them roam or to continue to breed. I have been very impressed with your care of the beautiful cats. 🤗
Thanks so much for answering my question and I was actually surprised with your answer (my thoughts maybe an Air BnB/holiday rental) but what a great idea, you and Sam move in whilst renovating your present home - perfect! Your kitties are living their best lives and although I allow mine to wander, you have chosen a way in keeping them all safe by using a Catio 👌 Keep progressing forward and soon you'll be amazed at how far your cottage has come along. Enjoyed the video ❤
Hey there guys! This was fun! We own a 62 acre island on a lake in the wilderness of Canada. My daughter lives in the UK and we love it there. We get lots of questions about how and why we do what we do so we really enjoyed watching your format for this. We'll likely be doing one in the next while too. Thank you for sharing 💚
I really enjoyed that video Seán and Sam, I’m very glad you are keeping the cats out of harms way. It looks like you’ve been slogging away at the renovations for a long time guys.
This was such a great session! Would love to see more cooking episodes with Sam too, or with the kids. Please have Jasmine update us when she starts her channel. Love the cats as well! I love Sam’s shorts with the cats.😊
You did answer one question as I had assumed you might move to the cottage to do repairs and why not if it's comfortable to do so. I also wonder if you would do a stall at one of those brocante fairs or vide greniers for your chopping boards or what you sell normally? or make your own shop so locals can come to you for products.
I have a friend that's going to put a deck on his place, and I'm trying to talk them into building a catio. A screened in porch, with perches, cat trees, scratching post, toys.
Thanks for doing the Q&A, Sean + Sam! As far as your age, Sean, I figured you to be around 50 so I wasn't too far off on that. I guess my question is, were your friends impressed when you married someone that is clearly 15-20 years younger than you? 😊 Keep up with the renovations, it's enjoyable to follow the progress, even from way over here in the middle of the US!
Thanks Sam and Sean for answering some of our questions and sharing a bit of your background. I think living in the cottage that you are working on now, so you can more comfortably make some renovations on your current home, is a great idea. BTW, I looked up purlins (a new term for me too, before Sean explained what they were) in Wikipedia, and the origin of the word seems to be a mystery with possibly a French origin.
Great video, I’m sorry I didn’t get my question to you but how and where is Jasmine? Haven’t seen her for 11 months, unless I’ve missed a video. Hope she is well. Be nice to see her soon❤
I'm Edith from Brooklyn love watching you shawn just would like to let you know when watching you while you and Lady sitting outside at your pub I happened to catch an orb fly by I'm very familiar with them I hope this doesn't frighten you their harmless I thought you might like to know i love watching you you make things very interesting I can't wait to see the finished product of your cottage.
Sam, I would like to know more about YOU - I admire your great taste in antiques, when did it start to interest you. Why the countryside and why not south of France? Did you have barn animals before? Are you and Sean married? Tell us more about your life. I do believe that you will stay in France after Brexit, so pls learn to speak french fluid and drag Sean to do the same - life will be much more friendly
I like both of you and enjoy both your channels. So here is a cheeky question that I hope you won't take great offence to I'm surprised that after18 years your still not fluent? Is French very difficult to learn?
We call little house with a hole in it a “Outhouse” in the US and if you want to be funny about it the door to the Outhouse must have a crescent moon carved out. 🌙🌙🌙🧻🚽

Great answers. I never let my cats out. Sometimes they don't come back and I would be devastated.

I'm liking your story telling abilities. 👌💯
Thanks for taking the time to comment
You’re doing the safest thing for the cats, I have a catio for mine, they’re very happy and safe, like your babies 👍
Thanks so much for letting us ask! You are ver gracious to us arm chair travelers❤
Well, this was a fun video. Sam is a natural conversationalist. I could see her as a professional audio book narrator, too.

My neighbor's cats take turns sitting under my bird feeder. I keep telling them it's not a buffet, they just look at me.
That was fun. Thanks for sharing.
That was a very informative video folks. I'm happy to hear you'll be staying in France and including us in your builds. You are lovely, people!
Nice to hear your back story and the cats as well.
Good Q &A Sean and Sam. I agree. Keep the kitties safe. ❤
Thanks so much for your nice answer to my question. ❤
Sean. thanks for sharing, I enjoyed that.
This was fun Sean and Sam. I agree that you are definitely doing the right thing for the cats.
Its almost like your property was a small village / community, with all the cottages and out buildings ❤
Great insight into your life Sean and Sam. 👍
Thanks for taking the time to do a Q & A session! Really enjoyed it!

Loved your video. I am glad you explained why you do not let the cats out. That never occurred to me. I do not have cats for that very reason.

My mom grew up on her Grand Parents farm and they had a Pit toliet and used news paper...
Love the West Ham scarf. 👍
Good evening Sean&Sam😊
love the bird sounds
Thanks for all the great answers! 🎉
This was such a great session! Would love to see more cooking episodes with Sam too, or with the kids. Please have Jasmine update us when she starts her channel. Love the cats as well! I love Sam’s shorts with the cats.😊
Sam. You are so pretty. Love your hair.
I’m finally catching up with your vlogs here and Sean’s Universe. Love everything you post on both channels!
Yay! Thank you!

I enjoyed this, thanks.❤
You are right about the cats, doing a awsome job with them, there happy and don't know any beter.❤❤
I don’t know if I could move off the acre…especially next to cattle and a nice fields
I agree. One acre isn't too much to take care of plus you've got the country life all around you so neighbors and you can remain private.
You two have sacrificed a lot to get you where you are! Congrats!
Thanks
Much appreciated Peter 🙏
best
Good evening
Hi Mark 👋🏼
Hi Mark, ( favourite uncle) 😃 😀 😄
Hi Mark
Excellent! A Bramley apple?
My daughter’s cat bought a live mouse into the house as a present the other day !!! I can’t imagine your cats bringing you presents alive or dead 😵💫

if you go cherry tree, EU is having a bunch of issues over non-sprayed trees and you'll need to treat them x2 a year
Or you could develop a taste for worms.😂😂😂❤
Ewwww🤢
Are you now a French citizen? If not are you a permanent resident? Do you vote in the UK?
If they are still citizens of the UK, did Brexit cause any problems with living in France?
We are permanent french residents
I’m an American. Do you drink warm beer?
Haven't tried it
Nothing wrong with 63 bud! Lol
He said he was 53!❤😊
Yes but he also said he’s not 63 but I am… lol
Please please please, don't let your cats run loose. It is sooooo dangerous for them.
I like both of you and enjoy both your channels. So here is a cheeky question that I hope you won't take great offence to I'm surprised that after18 years your still not fluent? Is French very difficult to learn?
