I discovered this guy on his new podcast EE POWER TALK I have watched all the 25 episodes to now(1st Nov 2024) and they have Really transformed me as a 23 years old young man in as a student at the Technical uni of Mombasa .Thanks for hosting him
These are the same things I talk about on my TikTok all the times We are living in a skill-based world. I'm a self-taught Digital marketer and I made the right choice to study graphic design back in 2015 attaining a Higher National Diploma at Shang Tao Media Arts. Right now I train guys on how to market on Google (SEO- Search Engine Optimization) Right now I'm learning Artificial Intelligence (AI) My son is a lucky boy to have me as his father coz he must learn more skills from me. Men should never rant on Social Media. Today most parents are raising emotional men and that's not good for our society.
I have been waiting for this conversation since he posted on his tiktok and finally its on air, thank you lyn for bringing Elvis on board he's a man full of wisdom and delivers what i like to hear. Keep advising our young ones to get skills and to learn how to represent themselves, those who always throws shades on you i really pity them.
Wow! What a show!I feel as if am from a mentorship class already -actually its passionate mentorship.I cant believe i have gotten all that for free! Me and complacency -divorced.I am going to acquire skills that will set me apart. Thank you so much lynn and Elvis for the content❤.
-I agree that university education is not a key to success for everyone, but it is a key to success for those taking technical courses. - I disagree that students spend most time socializing and not studying. We had many classes, study, and assignment hours, especially for those studying technical/science courses in Kenya, and also for those of us who studied abroad. In addition to our studies, we have part-time jobs so university is not a waste of time. I think Kenya should restructure the university education, reinstate high-skilled technical institutions, but not abolish higher education. Also, a system akin to what Germany calls Ausbildung (apprenticeship), is something that they can begin, as a pilot project.
That's a few of student's that do that. Majority of students don't improve themselves if it was the case of what you saying university atmosphere would be different and highly impactful. How many educational trainings were there compared to sporting and entertainment ?
@martinshuudeni5247 If lecturers gave students guidance and required them to provide more output in projects, whether in groups or individually, the students would benefit. But also, students should be self driven and learn extra things such as programming languages like R, Python, basic programming, and data analysis skills. These can be learnt online for free, and can be the basis of someone getting a job, including remote working for abroad companies.
@@kandisphere8828 I 100% agree with you. But the culture of University and an average university student has changed from self improvement and making a difference where they are and where they are going to just going through the day and getting the paper. Even many lecturers are tired of teaching and have long lost the passion of the repeating the same ideas for over 40 years of their time teaching. So I agree with it now depends on us as individual of what we want to make out of our time in university. Because I still believe it's a great environment for knowledge especially for those from backgrounds that are not so green, one can tap into so much, even mentors.
I’m so intrigued and impressed about this knowledgeable young people your bringing on board Lynn! This will motivate others and of course mentor our future leaders. There’s hope for Kenya! 🎉
Since I started following ELVIS, my life has really changed and am only 21... at least am somewhere and keep on pushing....THANK YOU ELVIS💯💯❤🔥 Currently learning coding and web design at least nimesonga 🥰💯
Very true ! A course in civil engineering takes 3 years in Germany while in Kenya it takes 5 years this makes me wonder why do we have to be in school for all those years .
Technical skills... digital skills are the way to go.....A young person with an intelligence of a 50year old...enyewe age doesn't come with wisdom... Simple language and very educative and understandable keep up Elvis 👏👏👏🙌
Lynn. Thank you for your show. On this subject, those things you say men should stop doing to make it life are not the root of the issue. You are taking about what happens when boys engage in those things but are you willing to delve into the actual things that cause boys to end up in such things? Do you think they indulge in such things willingly and excitedly? Many are are just stuck in those habits. Many boys can't afford to do marriage formerly nor do they want women drama. Just like there is a whole movement of women shunning marriage, there is a growing number of young men who detest the thought of marriage! This issue is deeper than just telling boys to indulge their sexuality a certain way!
I might forget everything else but one thing that stood for me is literally my life is my responsibility and no one owes me anything. Time to start working on skills, it's me for me
@lynn Ngugi Right conversation here...but Lynn in every case is so much individual. Let him address mental issues. He can confirm that most of the substance abusers are the most knowable...but they can't get themselves to execute what they believe in!!
Books like Rich Dad Poor Dad and 48 Laws of power among other self development books like this should be studied in fasihi, at High-school unlike sijui kidagaa kimemwozea stuff, with all due respect. We need a change of almost everything in our education system to cope up with the world.
The more we need to pump more resources in the CBC curriculum right from Pre school,do more in servicing for teachers by exposing them to practical skills so that by the end of the day the learner has these three:knowledge, skills and values
Important topics. Alot of habits start from youth age, breaking the cycle of repeated generational bad habits. It has already started. Keep talking sense, ❤
Informative content. Men are built differently and expected to be resilient. Time to bring the old masculinity back. If you have problems deal with them not spend time crying here and there.
This conversation has really spoken to me. I will start from where I am instead of regretting later in life. Mr. Elvis, you should be part of the education curriculum developments in our countries. thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. As a young lady, I am inspired... it is true we are sitting on these resources and instead wasting time with things that are not even helping us.
This is so unrelated to the content but Ms Lynn because I watch you so much, I realised I started to pick up your accent at certain times and was shocked.😂 congratulations on a million subscribers
He is sharing word of Wisdom, to some point, he is very true, our education system was spoiled in the Moi era . Compare China for children's education, but we thank God this young man who has chosen to change many young men thinking, God bless you.
