I suspect that in some scenes you're using manual focus but HOW do you not loose it in scenes where there are two obstacles and it's probobablu on auto f? I have no idea

I do lose it a lot haha, I just only use the clips that caught good focus. It‘s a lot of trial and error, supporting the camera‘s autofocus by constantly telling it which obstacle/dog to keep tracking and doing it over and over again :)
