I was at that concert, and it was as joyous as the other 50+ concerts of Roger's I'd attended, from early Byrds, through solos, through MCH, and back to solos. Roger was as effusive as ever, and Camilla is always a true joy to share time with. GREAT SHOW!
@@namcat53 yes, Roger started with Eight Miles High….stadium lights were dark for the opening to the song. Never forget it. I can’t remember who his backups were but it sounded pretty identical to the 5D version.
Wrong. The Byrds , the birds signify freedom like one is free flying like a bbird . Mc guinn explained that in an interview and for artistic reasons changed i to y

McGuinn walks shoulder to shoulder with Dylan, the Beatles, Brian Wilson, etc.
One of the most talented, underrated guitarists in the world! I saw the Byrds live in a high school gym WAY back then!
Which high school?
Saw them open for Dylan Rolling Thunder tour in 1975…along with Joan Baez. An incredible show.
You mean Roger, not The Byrds.

One of the best
a lovely live version, as expected. Reeks of the 60s generation so wow as the gent says at the end
So interesting. Thanks for posting.
The Byrds FOREVERMORE

I always wonder how much of Roger’s life has been spent tuning that Ricky 12.. Great to see him doing it …
And changing the strings. It’s a job!
Still playing great. Wonder funny stories.
Would've loved to hear, "Feel A Whole Lot Better."
Still one of my favorite songs ! not Dylan's version, this one by Rodger, David Crosby said he didn't like the folksy version in C ! David was correct
Don't think that Byrds name is right. They were named The Byrds to be allied with the Beatles. Simple as that.
Story is true

I think I’d trust the founder of the band over a guy on TH-cam.
Fantastic vocalist. His performance at Bob Dylan's concert in madison square garden was amazing
