For those that don’t know, the P250 is a modular pistol that had a removable FCU and multiple sizes of grip modules and uppers, and is the predecessor to the P320. It’s basically a hammer fired P320.
Still a great gun. I still carry mine time to time. Sig p250 sub compact. Installed a large module. Had to trim down the plastic under the slide. Now factory look with 15 rd flush mags in a sub compact.
I own a 250 compact. I think DAO is a great choice for CC and HD. Every shot is a choice. Fight or flight adrenaline is not your friend and I would think most people don’t have enough time and money to go through thousands of rnds per year to master the short stiker trigger. Yes, easy to shoot well at the range but maybe too easy for the untrained in an actual gun fight!
Agree with this. I have shot thousands of rounds at the range, and many times ride the reset on a polymer striker pistol, like a Canik or Glock. I just don’t think I could ride the reset in a stressful adrenaline filled gun fight or would even want to. I would just let the trigger come all the way out, and then fire again if I need to. I grew up shooting revolvers, so DAO triggers don’t bother me.
The P250 is my homes self defense weapon of choice. In the hands of someone who is properly trained in firearms, this weapon is safe form accidental misfires, reliable and effective.
What is your bill drill time with your P250? I like them but I think they're WAY less effective than any other modern gun. I'm much slower on every drill with them than even a smaller gun like a P365.
If the p250, p320 subcompact is too bulky, there is the Sig p290. Single stack polymer frame, Double action only, smaller overall dimensions . Was made in 380acp and 9mm , 6+1 and 8+1. $200 to $300 used
The P250 fell out favor because people didn't like the DAO trigger. I'm not a huge fan of the trigger, but I alternate between my subcompact P250 and my Gen 3 Glock 26 for my carry gun. I prefer the Glock, but both are fine.
P250 subcompact slide fits nicely on a XCompact grip. Runs flawless. Not so much on a Icarus Precision grip. This gun made me a better shooter because its DAO. IMO, If this was remade into a DA/SA type deal, It would be a winner.
i found an old west german p226 from 1993..... original i sights where tge rear sight has a single verticle white line in the middle and the front has a white dot so its ovbiously if you dot your "i" so to speak you are on target..... very cool accurate gun
I have the X compact with a 3.6 inch barrel. I thought about buying a subcompact sig frame similar to that one for a smaller gun overall.Really enjoy your videos
Pretty cool! I’m in 100% agreement with ya on sig 320 & p365, just don’t trust them, had lots of trouble with 3 sub compact 320 when they first came out and a year after out. Same with 365, one of the best shooting micro 9mms but I just don’t trust them, had trouble with 1st one like everyone was having and I hate no drop safety trigger like Glock and every other gun. With shield plus having great trigger I’ll take it all day long, and my s&w CSX. I’d love to find a p250 Like that in your video think it would be a great budget pistol & safe to carry.
That was a nice gun when it came out. Without saying the city or town you live, could you tell us the area? There seems to be a butt-load of nice guns for $300.
Man we’re did you find that gem, I had the compact the trigger, is to get use to ,you need to stage the trigger before the shot good gun. I don’t remember why I sold it.
With Sig’s my right hand thumb (I’m right handed) hits the slide release. After shooting Glocks the bore axis is just too high on the Sig. I’m sticking with the original polymer gun, Glocks. Thanks for the vid sir.
If you're okay with a two finger grip, best of luck tracking down a P224. It's a quality piece. Maybe, keep a watch out for a bargain mag(flush version) that might have gotten separated from its pistol. They are as easy to come by as hen's teeth.
I recently ordered larger frame for my sub compact. From Sig Sauer. Frame module was about 1/4” longer than slide. Took Dremel and made it look like factory. Now i have full grip and 15 rd mags fit flush. Best thing I ever did for a sub compact gun.
He is right, you are wrong. Night sights are only effective if you are in the dark, and the target has enough light on them to identify. I have experimented at night with this many times. If you have a flashlight or mounted light, it washes out the night sights. I can see regular 3 dot sights very good with the flashlight or mounted light.
I appreciate your vids and reviews. But what on earth are you going to with 40 carry guns you will never carry or shoot? Look at them? Man you should be dealing them off for the next one you want....... Edit: im not a fan of double action only. Love DA/SA hammer guns tho
I shoot all of my handguns. Not sure when I said I wouldn’t shoot them. I rotate them out at the range with my carry guns as well as shoot everything. And if you heard, I mentioned this firearm is not mine. Respect

I love my P250's!!! They are square revolvers.

Used to own one regret selling it
Same here. Sold mine to get a P320. Instant regret.

That’s awesome. Love sights like that , like the I dots from Ameriglo and Ameriglo cap sights. Nice pickup!

Have the same pistol, never leave home without it.....I use a spacer to fill the gap of the 15 round magazine.....

Sweet vid bro ‼🌟✅
lgs has a P224 in .40S&W, was thinking about snagging it, will have to see tomorrow
How long do those night sites last ? Thanks for another great video ❤

Deals, deals deals
You can get an updated replacement lower with a light rail
I assume yours,.... Or your buddy's 250 is chambered in 9mm. I have one in 380 and would love a 15 r mag for it.... Where.???? Thanks
Curious if you’ve had issues with extended mag on p250 .40

I used to fall off bikes when riding, but I kept practicing how to ride properly, and that ended.
@@xxdizannyxx I’m proud of you.

Still have a soft spot for the old 250... relegated to basement stasher... but still... probably never get rid of it.
I have the 357sig version. I can't find the correct grip frame to replace it.

You have a photo. I might do that myself
Double check me on this, but I believe P320 frames and magazines will work on the P250.
From researching further. This frame was discontinued. You can find a frame to fit it, but you have to get different magazines.
How many 26 glocks do you own bruh? Please tell me.
It’s somewhere between 14 and 16! Respect
The bore axis is so high tho ,other then that look great
"You don't really need night sights on a carry gun."
That's pretty dumb. Most defensive handgun uses happen at night.
