I love how this girl doesn’t let them talk to her like she’s a baby, she cuts them right off and talks back to them like the knowledgeable and respectable person she is. Children aren’t stupid, many just can’t progress because adults talk to them and treat them like they are stupid, this girl has not been belittled by her mother and she was not about to let the sharks baby her.
Valuable point. It frustrates me when parents treat their child as such. I myself still get belittled by my parents and I’m 24.
I teach kids her age and it also blows my mind how many adults just speak to kids disrespectfully, as if children aren't just as deserving of respect as adults. This girl is extremely bright, she would probably excel in a specialized school like a STEM academy where she can foster her talents for creating and engineering!

I’m surprised that more people aren’t mentioning her mother’s parenting. This child is awesome, and her mother is equally as great. Her mother is treating her respectfully, and it shows how she talks with the sharks. Notice how she didn’t say “you’re dead to me” to Kevin... I know a lot of kids that would say that to impress others. This girl didn’t. She knows who she is. This girl is mature, smart, and kind. I wish her all the best.
Exactly especially when her mother is along side her, and here i am wondering why my father and mother didn't come at 6 PM to my school 17 years ago when i got 2nd prize in some inter- school music competition. Even when i said explicitly, maybe they felt awkward 😭🤣. Kudos to such mother like persons who actually are making an Awesome individual grow in healthy environment.

This girl’s IQ must be off the charts. Not only was her presentation flawless, but she has more social prowess than most adults.
You do not have to be a genius or even have a college education to be an inventor or entrepreneur. A lot of common sense and as you said social prowess can go a long way. She saw a need and a problem and found a solution to fix the issue.

That girl is very smart to recognize how profitable a partnership with a shark can be. So many entrepreneurs have an unrealistic high opinion of the value of their company and an unrealistic low opinion of what a shark can bring to the table. 50% for $50k doesn't actually matter. It could be for $25k or $75k and the results would be the same since 90% of what that shark brings is their experience and knowledge and participation.

I died laughing at that part! The guy was just going for friendly banter that a child can relate to, and she suddenly got SO SERIOUS AND PROFESSIONAL because she's so focused on her job! It was so insanely adorable and authentic and the tiniest bit sassy omg, I can't handle what a force this girl is! She'll be a shark by the time she's 18 at this rate lol

Honestly, you just support them. You never question if they can, you just go with them toward the goal. When they want to sell the most chocolate for the school fundraiser, you pack your minivan with chocolate bars. You pull the wagon through the crowds at the college football stadium while your child sells. You carry the cases up the stairs at all the apartments. (My poor dad). And then one day that child has their own child and a minivan full of Moon Pies to sell for Cub Scouts. (Save me).
I’m just very impressed that her mom took the initiative and supported her enough to go this far with her. She’s such a bright child

Don't most people just pick those food cover spoons up and wash them? Is it a spoon or is it a teething toy. I don't mean to be mean but any raw food residue could make the baby sick. Praying that's not the case with how easy rubber is to clean. You'd also have to worry about the baby chewing off chunks and possibly swallowing it.

Can't chew through it so no chocking hazard. Just like rubber dog toys, made to resist years of chewing. Only raw food residue there is on there is while the child is eating. You don't wash your spoon half way eating so you don't get sick, right? Same concept here. Kid is able to use the same spoon too the end of the meal cuz they didn't toss it on the floor and now you need to wash it.

While that may be true, I just did some quick math and there is an opportunity for both partners to make between $2 million and $4 million in profits every year for the foreseeable future. 3.8 million babies are born in the U.S. every year. If half of them got one of these and assuming a modest drop in price and a cut going to marketing that should leave about $4 million to $8 million in average profits. I see growth in the collectible market if they add licensing like Disney or other cartoons. They could become collectible like Pez and really take off. This is a truly unique product that parents and children will absolutely love. The other sharks are idiots for not jumping in with offers though I think Lori would have been the best shark for bringing this to market and supporting the process so it worked out.

I’m really glad Lori gave her the offer. I think she’s the best shark for this type of product AMD the best shark to work with her. I think for Lori it was a win-win either way, she invests the $50k and the company takes off and she gets a massive return on her investment, or she invests the $50k and makes that little geniuses dream come true, potentially giving her even more confidence and drive to explore additional endeavors, even if it ended up being a tax write-off for Lori. Either way, very happy to see that the item/brand has done well and certainly expanded! 💜

Lori was 100% the right person they knew. One time they had a 19 yold on and Mark said he didn't make an offer because he thought someone would and ended up giving an offer to inspire her and his own kids
I'm crying, because she teared up at the offer! 😭 Her mom let her do most of the talking to show how serious she is. She's gonna go far, that one. I don't even know her, but I'm so proud of her and how she took charge for something she wanted to do.
I love how she set the speak-directly-to-me bar in the beginning when one of them said, "How old is she?" Without missing a beat, and with her head held high with confidence, she said, "I'm 10 years old."

I love how she responded when they didn't ask her directly her age. Like, I'm right here, but still very polite - giving the very confident benefit of the doubt to him.

I’m researching this product right now. I can’t even think of a baby in mind at the moment but I feel like I have to support after watching this. This little girl is amazing.
She should be added to the Shark Tank. It would attract a wider audience. She was smart enough to give 50% because she knows she has to finish school. So she needs a full partner. This was STELLAR and she’s so adorable and smart.

I definitely have a mad level of respect for Cassidy’s confidence and the way she presented her product. Her mother supporting her the whole way through gives out an even bigger initiative to pursue her dream. Seems like Cassidy was also here to inspire other young inventors to follow their dreams.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if in 10 years give or take that we see her as one of the sharks like the Ring (Doorbot) guy.

I loved everything about this except when Lori picked her up and hugged her like a child. Cassidy is in control of her idea, she wanted to be treated as an equal partner, a handshake (or I suppose the high-five) would have fit better here. The pitch was professional, a patent produced on demand and a 50% share offered. Deal!

I agree a handshake or high five would have been better, but Cassidy actually walked towards her with open arms for a hug. I think picking her up was awkward and unnecessary though.

Exactly! The picking up was just uncomfortable as well as the changing of the tone Lori spoke to Cassidy, with the “High five” sounding as if Lori was talking to a toddler who wouldn’t understand the concept of giving a high five…
I think this attitude towards this smart young lady was actually quite disrespectful, even though it was very good to see that Lori did make an offer!

it's really mind blowing how confident and creative she is, she understand her goals and realistic, when i was her age i was very shy and barely spoke because i was scared of embarassing myself constantly i'm really happy for i'm sure she has amazing parents, i hope one day i can see my child become like her
Her mother must be really proud that they have such a great daughter, and the fact that the mother let her speak because she knows its not her product. Great parenting right there!
