This is a really cool Willie Mays! Its sad he passed away recently but he will always be remembered as a Legend of the game! Thanks for sharing this sweet card with us!
Thanks SCRT! Yeah. I didn’t really expect the values to drop. I thought his cards were undervalued to begin with. Sort of surprised the market flooded like it did.
Stellar Willie Mays! Congrats on the pickup. I 200% agree with you, centering is not that big of a deal for me. I’d rather sacrifice centering over corners or post production damage. Stellar card! Thanks for the video.
@@fairweathercards Thanks Shawn! Really happy to find a copy of this card in such great shape! Yeah, it might be an old way of thinking, but it’s how I have always looked at cards.
Thanks Zach! PSA will and will add a qualifier, but I don’t plan to break this out to send to them. I don’t care enough about grades to even bother, haha! I love the card as it is!
Congrats on this pickup! Someone must have really loved this card despite it being really off center because the corners are sharp! All that matters is if you're happy with the card, and sometimes just owning a copy in any grade is all that matters. I really like Willie Mays' 1964 Topps. The photograph, color and design of it are fantastic! It's one of my favorites besides his 1958 Topps and 1954 Bowman. What really bothered me was that there were a lot of Vultures circling around Willie Mays prior to his call up to the Field of Dreams, I'm in the hobby for the education and the thrill of the hunt, but I may be in the minority now. It's just too bad that the hobby has put such an emphasis on money over building a great collection that you can be proud of. Fantastic card, and I'm really happy you could add it to your collection!
Thanks Ryan! Really excited to pick this card up! I’m sure if this was graded by PSA instead of SGC it would have a mid to high grade with a qualifier. But I don’t concern myself much about that. Buy the card, not the grade as they say. I agree, this is one of my favorite Mays cards. It doesn’t surprise me one bit that there were vultures around Mays before his passing. So much greed in the hobby these days. I don’t like it one bit.
Howdy Sensei ! I'm awake and you have no Show tonight. Funny. As a kid, I pulled many Stars & HOFers, course I always hated getting OC cards. Now 50 years later when I look at them, they look sharp still, and as long as there is a Sliver of white border, I'm Cool OC cards. Off the top of my head, my 74 Roger Staubach & my RC George McGuiness are that way. Peace. That is a Cool Mays card.
@@SouvenirProgramsHere Hey Tom! Thanks! I prefer having perfectly centered cards, but I am ok with cards that aren’t. Especially over ones that look worn. I’m not doing a late night show anymore. I just release videos at random now.
@@tripolicXcards Thanks Tripolic! I think it’s possible. But I honestly think if this was graded by PSA, it would probably get a 7 with a qualifier. So basically a 5. I’m still really happy with the condition of this card.

Absolutely! So happy to have another Mays card in the collection! Don’t have very many. RIP to a legend.
Very cool card and it's a Willie. I love it!!!

I agree Tony, being off center is part of the nostalgic look. Nice pick up.

That is a sweet looking card. Even though they don't (or won't) grade miscuts, it's still a great piece to have slabbed.

Nice pickup . Yes Mays lower graded stuff / lower end stuff stayed the same. I actually seen o higher end stuff go bananas. Btw I love the 64 set

Awesome Willie Mays slab! It looks really good. I wonder if it could score higher than a 5?
