Torching & Welding Rusty Lift Gate On International Box Truck -- Going On An Auction Run

- Bought a bunch of crapola on an online auction... Story of my life... Anyway Now I have to fix the liftgate on my box truck before I have to head out. Torching, Hammering, and Welding... Some of my favorite things!
I nearly spit my coffee out laughing when you said "it wasn't that rusty when I put it there." Oh can I relate!! I, too, love auctions and have stuff I had a good idea for at one point! Maybe we should trade our stuff so it feels new again...hahaha!!
I cant wait to see how this years auction season pans out. Im hoping that as the easy money disappears prices will come down. “good deals” have been a rare thing for the last few years at the auctions.

They sure know how to take the fun out of going to NY. I sure wouldn’t want to have a trucking company over there.
Sure is amazing how stuff accumulates ,a person has all kinds of stuff laying around after a few years
It seems to work that way for me. Im always buying something that I think is a good deal and then never get around to using it. But I have also had times when having things kicking around has gotten me out of a bind.

Yeah the DOT took all the fun out of trucking. I had my own tractor trailer for a while. When the DOT sees you hauling a load of logs going down the road they always stop you because they love writing those overweight tickets.
Is there anyway to extend the ramp make it longer
I thought about doing that, but I don’t know how the arms underneath that support it all would handle the extra stress. some of the ones that are much longer have chains that support the end.
