- I had a poor radio signal at times when driving depending on my location so I bought a an amplifier from ebay ..As you can see in the video it worked .

Looking like you have a active antenna, the tube looking thing on your antenna cable is a bias tee, used to feed 12 Volt to your antenna, important that the cable on that thing is connected to 12 volt

Thanks, I have a similar radio unit and find the radio quality very frustrating. I'm thinking of getting the one that supports DAB as well as FM.

I have a BMW X1 2012 and I can't find the aerial connection socket behind the BMW professional head unit. Is there another way of attaching the aerial by hard wiring in.

Hi I tried connecting the red wire from the amplifier to the stereo on the wire loom like you did and I found that my battery went flat in a few hrs do you have any ideas if there is another way to do this thanks.
That's why he said switched 12v wire meaning when you switch the radio off there should be no power... So find the switched 12v use a multimeter to determine which one is switched....
@@MisterManj Wire the red wire to the power ant wire, amplifier will only be on when the stereo is on, when you turn it of it will go off
I have a similar issue mate after installing an after market android. Now that it's been a couple of months, have you noticed a good improvement?
There is a slight improvement but for the cost of the unit it was still worth doing for me ...thanks for the question

1988 Buick Reatta w/Power antenna in trunk.....how do u connect booster??........There's no individual "radio", having the Electronic Control System being had in these "specially made" cars..
Hello mate may i ask...i have installed Led Projector light bulbs to my car but when i turned them on signal is lost....! Will this help to avoid this issues with signal?

Hi mate i have an android unit that only picks up even number chsnnels such as 90.10 then 90.30 then 90.50 any chance u know how i can get to 90.20 or even numbers?

@@monikpatel1879 you need a volt Meter to find which is a live wire... the blue cabke connector is the splice connector

Change the antenna outside put a longer one if you can..

Had mine in my van since making the video and had no problems with it .... maybe the person who's caught fire wired it up wrong?
This only works for FM and will block all AM channels so its no good if u want AM channels. The guys on ebay I bought it from lied to me about this..

BTW, I bought the same exact booster (same model #: ANT-208) from TEMU. It was about (U.S.) $7. The instructions were 'OK'... but your video filled in the gaps. 👍🏼

It's improved the signal when I'm in one location but when driving it doesn't give a crisp signal all the time when it's weak signal but for the price paid for it and how easy it was to fit I can't complain
What can i do for my car Radio if my car Radio programme only for receiving individual signal channel and i need solothion for receiving ather channels

2:25 On that particular supplied harness there is a wire labelled 'Auto Ant' and/or 'Amp' on the harness ...I believe that'll give you your switched live as well...nice upload tho

You need to check your Radio instructions as every Radio/stereo is different
It’s the exact same as yours in the video, your on FM as Am I, do you have the option to change to AM?
@@sabiya2 every radio has am and fm either click band on touch screen or if manual it will be on a knob or press button :)

The factory car radio ariel had a different attached then the aftermarket one so it's part of the ariel conversation plug
