This camera is a beast for the price. Blackmagic has some of the best color of any of the budget cameras.
in 4K super 35 mode this camera might be a good option. Only 15ms rolling shutter and good dynamic range.
I downloaded the sample clips and the colors and noise are very pleasing.

How was working with the footage? Did you have to do a lot of work to make them look this way? I was not entirely impressed by the original samples, but your grade brought everything to life.

Thanks for that! I just used ACES in Davinci Resolve to correct the images instead of the usual Blackmagic workflow. I used alternative "Tone-Mapping" for better "Highlight" Roll-Offs than would be the usual for Blackmagic's Lut. I used DCTL's that allowed me to stay in the ACES "Scene-Referred" workspace and not the more "Display Referred" tools inherent in Resolve. I think all of what I mentioned above allowed me to get different unique looks and better colors plus ACES adds it own unique look also. I also used "Blackmagic Custom" for the "Gamma" which I believe allowed me to build my own "Contrast" Curves which are different than the Contrast Curves built into the Blackmagic Luts.

As a primarily Sony shooter, I'll admit.... Sony doesn't touch this color science.

Stunning camera work, great locations, and terrific post production. One question - why didn’t the talent get a credit or did I miss something?

This is sample footage from John Brawley, Florent Piovesan and Matteo Bertoli for the Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K Full Frame, the link to the footage is listed above in the video description. I put the clips together in a sort of short film and just added most of the Info I knew from the Linked Website at the end including that I edited these sample clips together and Color Graded them. I didn't know the talents names, I don't think I saw that info listed at the website link.

Rented it, @25ms the Open Gate rolling shutter is a real issue. I have clips if you want to test them out. Just give me a way to contact you.

In theory could you use a PL to Leica L 0.71x speedbooster to get an even wider look?

You would be an idiot if you don’t upgrade to the full frame beast or if you don’t buy this. This is better than the Komodo and Komodo X if a box camera is not what you after. For the price as a cinema camera is mind blowing. Don’t listen to anyone opinion on the internet about this camera. Just buy it and try it. If it doesn’t fit your needs then you can always return it within 30 days and get your money back. This camera will be in my bag next month.

Yeah, Blackmagic did an excellent job with the image that this camera can capture. And I think the "Rolling-Shutter" is not as bad as it has been made out to be , IMHO.

Beautiful footage, to much saturation but lovely.

I used the "Night scene at the Dinner" as the "Hero Shot" and tried to tie them all together around that scene which if you download it is very saturated. Most of the Download files are considerably saturated already plus I wanted to push the Colors to see how well the 12bit Braw would hold up. But I understand the the level of saturation that I chose might not be to everyone's liking. And I don't like the "Low Contrast", unsaturated 8-Bit look either.
