Ah nice! I agree about the lower than the B statement, but find it fairly responsive ☺️ than again, MXR have released a new version for a reason I guess 😅 thanks for your comment!
@@AndreasOxholm Sorry, I should have said, "minor glitching". This is when the octave pedal doesn't track on a the fundamental note and you can hear it switch after the note is plucked, say on the low F or E. I am guessing that is due to the strong harmonics.
i wish you could have focused more on the pedal than the you... what if i could have heard the part that's missing where you turn the dry control all the way to the left?
@@AndreasOxholm YES PLEASE! Would love to hear it demoed vs. OC2 if you have one...like make a sound on OC2 and try to recreate on the OC2...same with the OC5 on vintage setting, and maybe the MXR Vintage Octave! Trying to figure out which is the best more making that synth sound the OC2 makes. Don't know if you have all those pedals.
@@AndreasOxholm If you open it up (where you put the 9v battery in) there will be a black switch there which can make the mid boost either 850hz or 400hz. there is also a knob back there where you can adjust the level of the mid boost from 4db to 14db
Could yall elaborate ? I have a mxr envelope filter for my bass. Wanting to get an octave pedal and I'm torn between boss and mxr. Im sure both are top notch, guess I'm going to have to just plug in and see for myself. Thanks fellas. Good playin @AndreasOxhholm
@@jhall1032 cheers dude! ☺️ both are great options, I'd go for the best price between the two. Would bet that the Boss pedal second hand marked is the best price☺️
Very good demo! This pedal checks three boxes for me: 1- It's analog (fat + warm), 2- The tracking is superb (for analog), 3- True bypass.
Great video very informative, and this guy's knows how to use an octave pedal,VERY FUNKY!
Thank you so much 😃🙌🏻 you own an octave pedal?
I own this pedal. It sounds excellent but definitely has tracking issues if you play anything lower than a B note or anything faster than Reggae.

Ensure you're muting the unplayed strings and try plucking on the neck. I only hear minor tracking on my low F and E.
@anthonyhall9453 What do you mean by minor tracking?

Superb pedal, use it with a fretless, like you had it for many years 4:11

What if I make a new video doing that 😃😅

@@VioletDeliriums very cool to see how detailed and into this you are! Unfortunately I don't have any of those other pedals to test against 😰
@@AndreasOxholm that's ok ... haha...but i would like to hear this pedal in more ways to see if it does what i want it to do.
Great video, great playing as well
Thanks! 😃
Sounds great, do you change the internal mid boost settings or leave at factory default?
Is it possible to change the mid boost setting? 😄 Mine is at factory default 😅

@@zazkbass WHAT!! That is such a great setting, thanks so much!
First (Først) 😜 Seriously tempted by one of these because the HX stomp still doesn’t do octave well. 😔
Right! There are some pedals that multi effects just can't replace 😄
Best ever octave pedal is boss oc5.
Agree to disagree 😅😁 it is defo amongst the top! As always
