- Mississippi State Penitentiary (Parchman Prison) is located on 18,000 acres in the heart of the Delta, where it has long been known as one of the most violent prisons in America. A transformation of Parchman is underway. At the center of this movement is a seminary embedded within the prison to train ministers and lead inmate congregations and ministries. These men live together in the same “zone” and worship together on Sunday mornings.

Special thanks to: Burl Cain, Marc McClure and the Mississippi Department of Corrections for allowing us to film at Parchman.

This video made me cry. As the daughter of one of the men in the video, I know the man my Dad was BEFORE and it’s not the man I see in this video or the man he is today. He’s a better man and I thank God, only he could take a man that was evil and turn him into something good!! I’m so thankful and I praise God for what he’s done in my Dad’s life! 🙌🏻 All glory belongs to God.
My son is on this zone and I’ve seen the change with my own eyes. These men share a brotherhood through Christ! God is opening doors to those who trust Him and His Will.
This is a beautiful example of how the church should be as a whole, these men are the best examples of redemption.
I went from The Godfather in Parchman and left Ms. prison with GOD as my Father 1990, 2003 and finally 2019 my prison trips are over🙏✅
Rip killa rip
My son is in prison and I pray He stays connected to God. This made me cry
❤
Psalm 139:7-8 ...
Job 19;25...
is he a chesta
I did time in parchman c custody when all the murders happened It was so bad I didn’t even know this zone existed but God always has a special remnant ❤
I'm from New Orleans but was born in Jackson. Parchman has a terrible reputation just as bad if not worse than Angola lve heard
God is in that place! 🙌🏽
What a beautiful thing to watch. Grown men coming together and finding friendships and bonds with people that they would not have opened their hearts and minds to previously. Joyous.
Its not really like that. everything you have seen is just for the cameras. I talk from experience.
It's so good to see these guys and hear their testimonies. My brother, Chris, could be seen in this video about 4 times. Just wish he would've been one of the ones speaking. God has brought him from a mighty long way. And all these guys, too. But I don't know their full story. I know Chris' story. He got transferred to a couple of years ago. I haven't been able to visit him since before the Covid lockdown.
I was locket up with some of them i thank god I’m leaving life outside them walls and thanks to god for getting closer to him inside prison
God is working. Wonderful to watch. It puts a smile in my heart and chills to my body. Miracles ❤️
Praise God! I have been to some Kairos closings there & this blesses my heart to see the Holy Spirit at work on the inside! What a beautiful brotherhood they have in Christ!
GOD IS GOOD
Not to many people get to experience that but its peacful
To God be the Glory
God is a healer. This was so amazing to bear witness to God’s grace and faithfulness 🫶🏽🫶🏽✨✨✨
This is beautiful!!! Even though they're in prison, they're still giving God the praise. I love it. God is a forgiving God. Thank you, Jesus!!!
Amen, God is great! Fills my heart with joy to see this. No matter where you are in life. God can use you if you will just open your heart to him. (God is using you in this video.)
Hallelujah god is good god is great for we are all one body
Brings back memories I was baptized in the penitentiary in Oklahoma I’m praying for the brothers and all the staff! PRAISE THE MIGHTY JESUS! God loves you all and so do I
Yea right
My husband to be is lock up may god used him for is glory god is faithful.
He is there
Just wanted to say continue to stay focus on god. I can sat God is good and I respect Mr. Cain and the superintendent there because he have brought parchman from the darkness.. I speak on this because I was on that zone at one time ❤ I did 19 years there n them guys always in good spirit. God open up them doors for me and u best believe he's gonna open them for you'll.. I love you guy's n stay focus on the the things that u can change in your life instead of the things that u can't control. Put God first and everything gonna take it's course.. always, Daniell aka Dino
Amen, Amen, and Amen
Praise God!!
God bless you brother's
There’s now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.
I use to work at Parchman you got some people up in there that can really sing
The units are so far away. Parchman is a city of its own. Its crazy how big it is on a farm
Did anyone else recognize Brandon Theesfeld in this video? He was the Ole Miss student who murdered his girlfriend and it was on several TV shows. So glad he appears to have made his life right with God.
Praise God
Im growth and development and god is good folks its luv
Make me cry. This is how it should be out here in the world outside the fences. All Glory to Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Everyone finds God in prison but when they leave it's a whole different story. Cold hard truth
What's the Pepperdine connection here? Did they start this seminary?
Parchmans unit 29 is litteraly hell on earth
❤ amen
@3:47 - that's Brandon Theesfeld. Never thought I would see him be doing so well in Parchman.
POS 99.9999% of them will forget "God" within 7 days of leaving there
Everybody is Holy when they locked up
...and so are many once they are released. I taught in a prison for 12 years, and many of those I worked with are in ministry until this day. We can't discount a seed being sowed. I know it's hard to believe, but GOD can do all things.
Did 3 years in Parchman. 5 total. Place is the most disgusting place on earth.
I was in Louisville,Ky DOC in 2004. I knew a guy from the street who was married to a blind woman...and he was * CRACKING* up her disability checks. Any who....he was a DAILY BIBLE THUMPER. Even in the holding cell before we went to see the judge. Both of us got lucky, hit the streets.. a month or 2 later dude was RIGHT BACK at the CRACKHOUSE. BUT god bless these dudes. Because we didnt do none of this stuff in JAIL like these guys.
It's good they are worshipping God. But when I saw the man in this video that did awful things to my daughter I almost threw up.
@robbie
He is redeemed
👑✡️Psalms 122:6🙏Pray for the peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱they will prosper that ♥️✡️👑
Note: This is the only Psalms that has a reward promised just for praying for the peace of Jerusalem ❤
So what does this have to do with Pepperdine? Seems like a religious video .. Sure as hell didn't see any religion while I was there .. We just were curious about the beach babes (and studs) in nearby Malibu .. 😜
Are you really that thick? Dude, be careful walking across the street. Looking both ways may tax your mind.
This is the Zone at Parchman.
They want a fast track out of Parchman! Calling BS. They'll be out, and doing the same ole things!!
Only logical comment here
ALL PRISONS SHOULD PRAISE GOD LIKE THIS!!!!! IT'S SO GOOD FOR THE SOUL.
I PRAY GOD WILL MOVE ON ALL THESE BROTHERS BEHALF.
The Devil is a liar 😂🇿🇦❤ he'll be lonely in hell, soon everybody is stepping away from him 🤣
God went inside a sinners next to Jesus and asked Jesus for forgiveness
I use to work at Parchman you got some people up in there that can really sing
