I have a Lindy 30 and I don't feel offended by your video. I feel that it's more travelling bag than use it as a everyday bag. And lets not talk about how pricey it is! I bought it from H website before the price went up but still it is a very expensive bag for what it is. I am thinking of getting another Kelly but I may have to sell the Lindy if I am not using it as much.
I've been a Birkin girl since the mid 90s. I also have Kellys, Evelynes and Massai. Over the years, the Bolide has been growing on me. Now, for those that say it is plain, so is the Birkin and Kelly. It's all hype that people think the designs are more than what they are. The only reason they are in high demand is because of celebs and "influencers" over the years carrying them and social media. Why do you think the Picotin, Lindy and Garden Party have taken off within the last year or two? Social media. However, the Bolide is really for those that don't feel the need to have a logo flashing everyone or show off a B, K or C as if those bags the only ones that matter. I can take my Bolide 27 Ostrich anywhere and I don't have to keep watching my back which is why I love the Massai too. I switch out the strap with the adjustable from one of my Evelynes so I can use it as a cross body which is my favorite way to casually wear it. Understated luxury.
Agreed. I have an Hermes Cinhetic and my interest in the Bolide (especially the 45 for travel) is growing on me. I prefer understated, under-the-radar quality over the "journey" bags.
I own Bolide 27 and 35, and I do totally agree with you. They might look boring or too plain at first, but you will love them more and more as time goes by.
Bolide shape is a very nice shape to carry. It is extremely accessible and when you open it you can see everything inside. I fell in love with the some shape when I inherited a Prada ostrich dome shape bag. I hardly ever use the strap. It has pocket and a center zip Lambskin interior.
I agree with your review. I don’t like any of those bags except the Bolide. I’d love to have one in a smaller size with the strap. I like that it has a top handle and it’s minimalist look.
I love all my hermes purses (Birkin, kelly, lindy, garden, clutch, picotin). Im one who really takes the of my purses snd wallets. Can’t imagine how anyone can get the bottom of garden bag dirty, unless we leave it on floors or dirty areas. I seen people do that, but it’s how we care for them. When you purchase any Hermes, you need to know why you are willing to spend that kind of money and you are able to afford it. I do t plan to sell any of mine. It will be for my little girl if she choose to keep any. She will have a nice collection. As for LV, that’s a different story. I only like their wallets.
The mini bolide and bolide 25 both sell for a high resale value, higher than the retail price. The bolide 25 retails for about $6,000 and I have recently seen a few that have sold for about $7,800 on a resale website. The condition is used but it’s still in very good condition. Those two sizes are really hard to get. Bolide 27 and the larger sizes take a pretty big hit when they are listed on resale websites.

@@SasaZoe I think if you go through Real Real or Fashionphile they take a pretty big cut. eBay takes about 9% if the item is a certain amount (I think it’s $2,000 and up). They authenticate all the items at their center in Las Vegas before it gets shipped to the buyer. They will include an authenticity card.
Bolide has a big comeback after its 100-year anniversary. The new size 25cm which comes in epsom leather, has solved the sagging and the wear-and-tear problem. With Hermes, you just never know =). I agree that it is plain looking, but isn't that what Hermes' purses are known for? The plain design gives room for adding the twillies and bag charms.
mini Bolide is really really such nice and continent to take and hold many things that everyone need. The design is gorgeous and timeless soo elegant and pure
I love my Garden Party in Black with the military canvas and country leather trim. It keeps its structure, is very lightweight and the leather base is easy to wipe down so no feet are needed. The canvas leather mix is under $2200 USD and a better deal to me than LV Neverfull and Chanel Deauville Tote. I love the tote style and ability to dress it up with a twilly or use it with very casual outfits. I use it for more causal days when I don’t want to bring my Kelly, when it rains, or when I need to carry more items. I totally agree about the Picotin. It looks adorable new but it’s lack of structure shows quickly. It also is hard to clean with the raw leather interior.

I do prefer a structured simple shape..perhaps the Garden Party however feet are a must for the base and the closure is substandard. Totally agreed. I got a mini lindy but that's the only lindy I love, not any other bigger size which look just too mature to me (even I'm not young anymore).
I have a Lindy and I LOVE it. That said I also bought it second hand for about $2,500 USD. I totally agree with you that the price of the Lindy is shockingly expensive and personally I’d have to have a lot more money to burn if I were to get it from the store. That said I’ve seen the Lindy in gold and ghw and it’s STUNNING. So if that one came along, it would be tough for me to turn down. I also dislike the picotin! I find the straps so awkwardly attached. That said it’s a great entry level bag and a fantastic price!
I agree with everything you said in this video. At the price point of the Bolide and larger Lindy bags, might as well save an extra $2-3k for a K, B, or C. ♥️
the Bolide may look simple but its elegance lies in the simplistic lines and silhouette, unlike other products of the same brand with loud H logos or buckles which can be distracting.

Some hermes bags are actually better than the kelly/birkin like the constance, mini lindy, chain verrou, mini halzan because theyre made for true hermes fans whereas the ones who arent into the brand get a birkin/kelly especially at a time when its so much accessible to get one years ago these bags were something now not so much

Hi I have the Bolide 27 in epsom leather besides the constance and Kelly😀 I agree with you that it looks plain and is also expensive, but I bought it because it grew on me over time. It's slim but fits quite a bit, and i think it's the only top handle bag from Hermes with a zip closure and shoulder strap - the very reason why I decided against buying the Birkin😀

I think it’s just that everyone has different mindset, for me, Hermès is not a brand that has the top brilliant aesthetic design quality among all this luxury houses, but it has the top quality and most low key aesthetics ( besides the popularity of BKC made these bags an icon of luxury handbags otherwise it doesn’t scream any logo on most of their design) which are many people like me prefer, something that has top of the quality without scream price tag on them. So I guess the logic behind “ if I have these amount of money to spend on this type of bag, I would rather to get XX instead” does not exist on someone like me who has those mindset. In my opinion, there is no such thing as “a bang for its buck” when it comes to luxury world, a recycled shopping bag can also does exact job of any luxury bags do, after all the luxury items are just extra treats for anybody who has capability to afford things they love, It’s just the priority on purchasing a luxury item is so different between us.

Hi Zoe I got a phone call from my hermes seller if I am interested in picotin 22 and it was my first bag offer. However I don’t really like it. At the same time I am concerned if I can’t get offered any other bags. How would you deal with this offer with the seller ?
I can see your viewpoint but then not everyone can afford a BKC and hence why for some people they still want to purchase quality made bag but without the need to maintain that SA/reach certain point of spend level to quality for a BKC. BKC to some might be a peanut but to certain people, it might be a starting point to test out Hérmes piece before diving into the high end. Yet, I do wonder if those that says to save 5-8k more on Kelly than spending on Picotin but if you add on the additional spend to build up that history at a ratio of 1:1 then you probably have spent like 15-20k to get your ideal Kelly.... so is not affordable for most, perhaps this is what Hermes is doing to filter out those low finance power customer 😂

It's best to buy bags because you love them instead of just because they are cheaper than BKC. If the reason buying them is to get the BKC eventually or later on they still want BKC, then it'll only take longer to get BKC. BKC are def big purchases for most of us. Another factor to take into consideration is that a lot of SAs actually don't count bags like Lindy at all because they are leather goods. Every SA/store might be different.If buying these bags doesn't help getting any BKC, then you have to really love these bags:)

The only two hermes bags i get are lindy 26 in swift and bolide 25 in epsom. They are extremely classy , and elegant. You will enjoy the bag. Its not about the money. They are very user friendly. Light in weight , big capacity, and casual but classy at the same time.
I agree with you. Besides the B,K,C, all the other bags seem kind of plain. I thought the Lindy is pretty cute, but somehow I feel that maybe the style might not be popular one day and it is pricey…for that amount I rather get a Chanel bag and because I love Chanel, I am sure it will bring me happiness hahaha.

I actually agree with what you said about these bags. They are super expensive and some of them are so plain looking. My SA asked me if I would be interested in any other bags than B&K. I have to say Herbag seems to be the only option but man it is hard to open and I always love leather bags not canvas ones.
I totally agree with this. I think the only bag that appeals me is birkin, Kelly and herbag! I liked the tool bag too but the leather is too soft and it won’t keep its structure.
Lindy looks like a deflated basketball and it makes the person carrying it look short~ IMO🤣 Boilde looks good but it is just too similar to Alma etc. Kelly is the best looking among all but I saw a hilarious comment saying that it looks like Moominmama’s purse. You were from the "INVESTMENT" point of view. All u talking abt is whether the bag will be heavily discounted when resell it on 2nd hand market. Whether bag is worth or not is depends on your needs and ur style. A person who is wearing T shirt jeans everyday buy a useful Lindy bag and carrying it everyday VS ppl buy a Kelly but seldom got chance to take it ,maybe once a year. Which one is WORTH?? If you talk abt investment , of course Kelly win. But ask urself when buy a bag, WILL U SELL IT ? If not, just buy the bag u think you will use the most and can fulfill ur requirement . If finance is quite good, then just buy whatever u like, no such condition .

Totally agree on the bolide... it looks just like a Prada bag I have.... as for me, I'm a soccer mom and my son travel for soccer. I would use my different color picotin 18 for local games as it fits my yeti or Starbucks cup perfectly on the two sides... lindy 26 is great for out of town games... fits my outskirts charger, go pro camera n even a camera with a lens... i wish the strap can be used as cross body though....

I have a Lindy 30 and I don't feel offended by your video. I feel that it's more travelling bag than use it as a everyday bag. And lets not talk about how pricey it is! I bought it from H website before the price went up but still it is a very expensive bag for what it is. I am thinking of getting another Kelly but I may have to sell the Lindy if I am not using it as much.

I've been a Birkin girl since the mid 90s. I also have Kellys, Evelynes and Massai. Over the years, the Bolide has been growing on me. Now, for those that say it is plain, so is the Birkin and Kelly. It's all hype that people think the designs are more than what they are. The only reason they are in high demand is because of celebs and "influencers" over the years carrying them and social media. Why do you think the Picotin, Lindy and Garden Party have taken off within the last year or two? Social media. However, the Bolide is really for those that don't feel the need to have a logo flashing everyone or show off a B, K or C as if those bags the only ones that matter. I can take my Bolide 27 Ostrich anywhere and I don't have to keep watching my back which is why I love the Massai too. I switch out the strap with the adjustable from one of my Evelynes so I can use it as a cross body which is my favorite way to casually wear it. Understated luxury.
This is why I love Hermès. Classy, not flashy.
Agreed. I have an Hermes Cinhetic and my interest in the Bolide (especially the 45 for travel) is growing on me. I prefer understated, under-the-radar quality over the "journey" bags.

I own Bolide 27 and 35, and I do totally agree with you. They might look boring or too plain at first, but
you will love them more and more as time goes by.
Bolide shape is a very nice shape to carry. It is extremely accessible and when you open it you can see everything inside. I fell in love with the some shape when I inherited a Prada ostrich dome shape bag. I hardly ever use the strap. It has pocket and a center zip Lambskin interior.
I agree with your review. I don’t like any of those bags except the Bolide. I’d love to have one in a smaller size with the strap. I like that it has a top handle and it’s minimalist look.
I love all my hermes purses (Birkin, kelly, lindy, garden, clutch, picotin). Im one who really takes the of my purses snd wallets. Can’t imagine how anyone can get the bottom of garden bag dirty, unless we leave it on floors or dirty areas. I seen people do that, but it’s how we care for them. When you purchase any Hermes, you need to know why you are willing to spend that kind of money and you are able to afford it. I do t plan to sell any of mine. It will be for my little girl if she choose to keep any. She will have a nice collection. As for LV, that’s a different story. I only like their wallets.
The mini bolide and bolide 25 both sell for a high resale value, higher than the retail price. The bolide 25 retails for about $6,000 and I have recently seen a few that have sold for about $7,800 on a resale website. The condition is used but it’s still in very good condition. Those two sizes are really hard to get. Bolide 27 and the larger sizes take a pretty big hit when they are listed on resale websites.
Hi love! The smaller size is generally speaking sells higher than bigger sizes indeed! I totally see the scenarios you mentioned also. I wonder how much the original owner gets paid via the online resell website if you know what I mean:)
@@SasaZoe I think if you go through Real Real or Fashionphile they take a pretty big cut. eBay takes about 9% if the item is a certain amount (I think it’s $2,000 and up). They authenticate all the items at their center in Las Vegas before it gets shipped to the buyer. They will include an authenticity card.
Bolide has a big comeback after its 100-year anniversary. The new size 25cm which comes in epsom leather, has solved the sagging and the wear-and-tear problem. With Hermes, you just never know =). I agree that it is plain looking, but isn't that what Hermes' purses are known for? The plain design gives room for adding the twillies and bag charms.
mini Bolide is really really such nice and continent to take and hold many things that everyone need. The design is gorgeous and timeless soo elegant and pure
Garden Party erminds me of ol ladies' knitting bags :-(
I love my Garden Party in Black with the military canvas and country leather trim. It keeps its structure, is very lightweight and the leather base is easy to wipe down so no feet are needed. The canvas leather mix is under $2200 USD and a better deal to me than LV Neverfull and Chanel Deauville Tote. I love the tote style and ability to dress it up with a twilly or use it with very casual outfits. I use it for more causal days when I don’t want to bring my Kelly, when it rains, or when I need to carry more items.
I totally agree about the Picotin. It looks adorable new but it’s lack of structure shows quickly. It also is hard to clean with the raw leather interior.

Absolutely agree on Garden party. No feet needed and in size 30/ gold color it is a very practical yet stunning piece. One of my old time H favourites.

I do prefer a structured simple shape..perhaps the Garden Party however feet are a must for the base and the closure is substandard.

Totally agreed. I got a mini lindy but that's the only lindy I love, not any other bigger size which look just too mature to me (even I'm not young anymore).
I have a Lindy and I LOVE it. That said I also bought it second hand for about $2,500 USD. I totally agree with you that the price of the Lindy is shockingly expensive and personally I’d have to have a lot more money to burn if I were to get it from the store. That said I’ve seen the Lindy in gold and ghw and it’s STUNNING. So if that one came along, it would be tough for me to turn down.
I also dislike the picotin! I find the straps so awkwardly attached. That said it’s a great entry level bag and a fantastic price!

the Bolide may look simple but its elegance lies in the simplistic lines and silhouette, unlike other products of the same brand with loud H logos or buckles which can be distracting.
I thought I was the only one that didn’t like these bags. I’d much prefer the Kelly or Birkin.

Some hermes bags are actually better than the kelly/birkin like the constance, mini lindy, chain verrou, mini halzan because theyre made for true hermes fans whereas the ones who arent into the brand get a birkin/kelly especially at a time when its so much accessible to get one years ago these bags were something now not so much

Hey Sasa, you reference the preloved market frequently. The resale prices of these bags fluctuate with demand, hence the high price of the mini bags now. I reckon this trend will change. Give it a few years and the large bags will fetch a higher resale value and vice versa. What do you think?

Hi I have the Bolide 27 in epsom leather besides the constance and Kelly😀 I agree with you that it looks plain and is also expensive, but I bought it because it grew on me over time. It's slim but fits quite a bit, and i think it's the only top handle bag from Hermes with a zip closure and shoulder strap - the very reason why I decided against buying the Birkin😀

I think it’s just that everyone has different mindset, for me, Hermès is not a brand that has the top brilliant aesthetic design quality among all this luxury houses, but it has the top quality and most low key aesthetics ( besides the popularity of BKC made these bags an icon of luxury handbags otherwise it doesn’t scream any logo on most of their design) which are many people like me prefer, something that has top of the quality without scream price tag on them. So I guess the logic behind “ if I have these amount of money to spend on this type of bag, I would rather to get XX instead” does not exist on someone like me who has those mindset. In my opinion, there is no such thing as “a bang for its buck” when it comes to luxury world, a recycled shopping bag can also does exact job of any luxury bags do, after all the luxury items are just extra treats for anybody who has capability to afford things they love, It’s just the priority on purchasing a luxury item is so different between us.

Hi Zoe I got a phone call from my hermes seller if I am interested in picotin 22 and it was my first bag offer. However I don’t really like it. At the same time I am concerned if I can’t get offered any other bags. How would you deal with this offer with the seller ?
I can see your viewpoint but then not everyone can afford a BKC and hence why for some people they still want to purchase quality made bag but without the need to maintain that SA/reach certain point of spend level to quality for a BKC. BKC to some might be a peanut but to certain people, it might be a starting point to test out Hérmes piece before diving into the high end.
Yet, I do wonder if those that says to save 5-8k more on Kelly than spending on Picotin but if you add on the additional spend to build up that history at a ratio of 1:1 then you probably have spent like 15-20k to get your ideal Kelly.... so is not affordable for most, perhaps this is what Hermes is doing to filter out those low finance power customer 😂

It's best to buy bags because you love them instead of just because they are cheaper than BKC. If the reason buying them is to get the BKC eventually or later on they still want BKC, then it'll only take longer to get BKC.
BKC are def big purchases for most of us. Another factor to take into consideration is that a lot of SAs actually don't count bags like Lindy at all because they are leather goods. Every SA/store might be different.If buying these bags doesn't help getting any BKC, then you have to really love these bags:)

The only two hermes bags i get are lindy 26 in swift and bolide 25 in epsom. They are extremely classy , and elegant. You will enjoy the bag. Its not about the money. They are very user friendly. Light in weight , big capacity, and casual but classy at the same time.
I agree with you. Besides the B,K,C, all the other bags seem kind of plain. I thought the Lindy is pretty cute, but somehow I feel that maybe the style might not be popular one day and it is pricey…for that amount I rather get a Chanel bag and because I love Chanel, I am sure it will bring me happiness hahaha.

Pico18 is getting popular now..i had 5 before but sold them all.I prefer birkin as it serves the same purpose.same with gp.sold mine too.but i love my mini lindy.lindy 26-30 is not popular in usa but popular in asia same as picotin.

I actually agree with what you said about these bags. They are super expensive and some of them are so plain looking. My SA asked me if I would be interested in any other bags than B&K. I have to say Herbag seems to be the only option but man it is hard to open and I always love leather bags not canvas ones.

I totally agree with this. I think the only bag that appeals me is birkin, Kelly and herbag! I liked the tool bag too but the leather is too soft and it won’t keep its structure.

Lindy looks like a deflated basketball and it makes the person carrying it look short~ IMO🤣 Boilde looks good but it is just too similar to Alma etc. Kelly is the best looking among all but I saw a hilarious comment saying that it looks like Moominmama’s purse. I own a Picotin and the reason I like it so much is because of its color and it's in epsom leather! If it's in clemence leather, I wouldn't get it because I don't like the slouchy look :)

You were from the "INVESTMENT" point of view. All u talking abt is whether the bag will be heavily discounted when resell it on 2nd hand market. Whether bag is worth or not is depends on your needs and ur style. A person who is wearing T shirt jeans everyday buy a useful Lindy bag and carrying it everyday VS ppl buy a Kelly but seldom got chance to take it ,maybe once a year. Which one is WORTH?? If you talk abt investment , of course Kelly win. But ask urself when buy a bag, WILL U SELL IT ? If not, just buy the bag u think you will use the most and can fulfill ur requirement . If finance is quite good, then just buy whatever u like, no such condition .

Totally agree on the bolide... it looks just like a Prada bag I have.... as for me, I'm a soccer mom and my son travel for soccer. I would use my different color picotin 18 for local games as it fits my yeti or Starbucks cup perfectly on the two sides... lindy 26 is great for out of town games... fits my outskirts charger, go pro camera n even a camera with a lens... i wish the strap can be used as cross body though....

good point! but too bad a lot of us buying those bags is only for building up the profile in order the buy BKC, end of the day you just convince yourself how much you like them so you dont feel sorry for yourself lol buying their jewelry is even a worse case. Spending at least 5K to buy those necklace def get you a fast track to get BKC, but I guess Id rather to get those ugly bags which has more resell value then those diamond necklace or boring looking jewelry. if its not because I HAD to buy those bags to get to BKC, I would never look at those bags. lol

It's not about happiness it's about being smart. It's good to invest in bags with high resell value so when you're bored of it you can just sell it (and not losing so much money, or even if new you will get profitl and buy a new one that you like, rather just keep spending money endlessly lol girl money doesn't grown on trees have you ever thought of it?
