Watched a few of your videos and I think you've done a great job so far. Having a good camera, mic and setup goes a long way, and your presentation is really good - very confident which I think just makes people trust what your saying more easily. I enjoyed your brain rot content and quitting socials the most. Related hard to alot of what you were saying. The one thing I'll say as someone doing this full time 4 years now, is enjoy this era of your channel. Genuinely it is by far the most fun part of being a TH-camr. You get to experiment, see what works and what doesn't and enjoy the process of building a channel and a community where you actually know the people commenting on what you're posting. Being more established has its perks but at the same time alot of the joy of early creation gets lost along the way

I am now on my second month, and like you did last month, I also got my first hate comments! They focused on my content, since I am not really out there like you are. I am following a simple rule for my moderation, if the comment would not be acceptable as a comment to a stranger in in-person society rules I am deleting it, or if I can use it for content... I WILL! Regarding your "losing subscribers" section in this video, I actually think it's even less personal, it can be just TH-cam pruning bot accounts!

I definitely agree with you that sometimes by making the videos, it helps you to navigate your own opinions and perspectives and helps you to figure out how you really feel. Now, when I have an issue or I need to figure something out or I'm just having mixed feelings, it has become so helpful to just turn the camera on and record myself talking about it. Sometimes when I watch afterwards, I am able to see how I really feel. That's one thing that TH-cam has helped me to discover. I love the thought and time you put into these videos and you bring such a fun, passionate, and excited aura to the videos. Almost feels like I'm talking to a close friend. I think your channel is going to blow up soon because of that. People really like that. I'm excited to see where you go and glad that I will be here to watch your journey unfold from the beginning! ❤

They just don't come across as the most authentic, and since I've been trying to be as authentic as possible, which is why I'm glad I found you! Great video, I really liked the mindset you brought up about losing subscribers. x
the youtube "teachers" industry is out of control 😅especially when they have 100K+ subscribers!! i definitely watched a few of those and found them sooo overwhelming - "you need orange and blue neon lights in the background", "niche down", "copy other creators for everything as you start" - what crazy advice to be inundated with 😵💫to your point, SO inauthentic!! i am really enjoying connecting with other small channels and we can all just exchange notes and figure it out together 🥰

I'm really glad you took the time off to take care of yourself! May I suggest doing some batch creating and schedule things to post during your time off? And yes, you having a backlog of content is really helpful with acquiring subscribers AND watch time. I tend to binge when becoming a new subscriber. It helps me to know my new creator...as it were. Also, not a fan of shorts. I prefer to spend actual time with my creators! AND...MY GIRLIE!! 697 subscribers as of today! Well done.

Rene wrote " How about we pay moving expenses and you take that horrible channel of your over to Facebook..........please..." I've earned 17.5 subscribers per month.....rollin. Congratulations on the third month and all the fun!

Everything after that has been icing.... ...actually chocolate milkshakes with that whipped cream that the farmers make themselves. Not only do they have the essential vitamins S, U, G, A, and R.....but on Sundays they only count half calories! ( I'd buy you one but tomorrow is Saturday....There will be other occasions...don't worry ; another time )

I work in advertising tech and I know in my professional sphere I keep hearing how TH-cam is taking share from and competing with traditional TV and connected TV (Hulu, Roku, etc.) - it's fascinating to see that actually play out in the data of my channel 📺learning so much!
@@kate.cassidy You're welcome, Kate, and I'm certainly an anecdotal example. TH-cam is basically my free-to-air TV, except I get to select the programming (from available options, naturally).

TH-cam is also really great at kicking out the bots that aren’t real subscribers so that’s sometimes why you see some subscribers drop off 👍👍

how is it that such shorter content somehow takes so much more from me 😅something about it really didn't click for my creative side but i know some other creators love it!! will try again at some point 😊
@ I’ve been trying to learn a few new techniques this week and STILL haven’t had time to implement them and make a Short. I’m going to attempt it tomorrow 😂

Thanks for all your kind words also. My first channel tanked because I ruined it with shorts, so I'm making sure not to make the same mistake with this channel. Things are going quite nicely so far. I wish you nothing but success moving forward.
