BeyondEllisBeck idk why that was really shocking. If you played AC4, its pretty much said everything that was happening between Fiona and the Raven. She and he were on vacation when White Glint attacked Anatolia and came back to kill him. Since Anatolia has fallen, theres nothing keeping them there. Thats why you see them working for Line Ark since they are independent.
Some rumor went around that he didn't die, or that both otsdarva and anatolia's merc feigned death, The former to lead ORCA, the latter to retire. If that was the case (which it probably isn't), i think it would've been cooler for glint to return in the final battle. The player defeats all the enemy NEXT's, and then in the distance you see that signature white glow of the thrusters rushing towards you. To think that Glint was the previous player character/protagonist, that would've been one hell of a battle, and IMO, a more fitting end to the character.
I know I'm replying to an old thread, but I feel like answering you as an FYI The Guidebook, (Armored Core: A new order of NEXT) goes into detail that Anatolia's Merc is in stable condition, and that Fiona is trying to find him another NEXT. I ended up translating this and actually cross checked with someone on the Armored Core wiki, and it's true.
@@dylanr.cerezo4325 That was fast. Yeah, I added it to the Anatolia's Mercenaries Page on the wiki as well. I don't think its so much FROM keeps their games vague so much as there is SO MUCH that was lost in translation. The book came out in 2008 yet over aa decade later we are only now getting concrete answers on the outcome of Anatolia's Merc.
The next that I designed was an aerial gunslinger type so my battle took place in the skies, advanced targeting meant I never lost sight of White Glint.
Not a bad run considering the mech you used had poor PA and was a heavy, the rail gun is definitely useful. I prefer the sniper cannon myself but first run I used AS Missles and just hosed her till she dropped barely able to hit me. It's a dirty tactic tbf.
@Egoxeno WG's parts are somewhat for show, but they are decent otherwise. Since they're not heavy on defense, running a lightweight core with good boosters will offset that weakness.
@fkkkkkenig The legs have a higher load capacity and a lower mobility than what I prefer. I might wind up just using the Core, since I think its clearly the best of the set.
@fkkkkkenig True, unfortunately I think I was mostly broke at the time. This took place on my first game completion. So, economics were a consideration.

Yes, I know. I've look at the AC wikis and there's no "quotes" from Glint's pilot but he did taunt me as I sank. It wasnt Odstarva because he doesnt use the taunt that I heard and I believe he'd already gone snorkeling. Furthermore, the voice was deeper.
I do exactly the same thing you do and she doesn't enter second phase for 5 entire minutes, then I just exhaust every single piece of ammunition then die, despite doing the exact same thing. Fuck this game.

The railgun worked well. A rifle or MG on the right arm would have made WG's death even faster.
