DauT's brilliance in AoE is exceeded only by his amazing character and humour. His collaboration with TheViper, Jordan & TaToH has given me so much joy, so much laughter and so much excitement in tournaments. He's always there with a quick bantering jab at his friends, only to make a joke about himself the next moment. And he's always there interacting with his chat, offering advice, wisdom and silliness. I love you, DauT.
I hope it never ends too Dauti, He is a treasure for the community and if he ever stops playing, i hope he gets picked for other stuff around the game. Because his Knowledge and Charme gets lost, i think it would hurt the scene a lot. Thanks for the Video, it was great to watch!
RBW 3 is a very special moment for me as I lost my mother shortly before the main event started. Watching it gave me a lot of comfort (together with hanging out in various Age communities that all gave me support). Seeing Daut win made me absolutely happy, alongside Viper's win later that year at Red Bull 5. :)
I hope you feel better now, we always find a family in this community and that's my favorite part of aoe. Enjoy RB wololo "el reinado" and keep up with your great attitude mate❤ yours was a heartwarming story to read.
Man I could even listen to Masmorra reading a dishwasher manual and feel pure satisfaction. Straight up perfect narrator voice for me, keep up the great work!
The lord finally gets the respect he deserves. Joking aside he is a unique player when it come to the actual game and a great personality that compliments the scene and adds a bit of flavor to it.
Dauti is awesome and a cornerstone piece of why I love Age and the community. Very wholesome guy, and when his speeches do come to him, he gives the best and most heartfelt ones in the scene.
My only criticism as a new competitive AoE follower would be to know more about the lore of the Daut Castle, how it started, how it became a meme, him embracing it, etc. I love one of his quotes about it in an interview, I think in RB Wololo 4 or 5: "I make castles that end the game, either I win or he wins" Excellent job!! Loved it!! Keep em coming ^^
One thing being a Viper fan has taught us is to always give respect where respect is due!!! There has not been one occasion where the mere mention of "The Lord" in any live chat from Viper's stream has not evoked a response from the Snake full of reverence to Lord DauT!!! To me, Viper is The GOAT; But to Viper, Lord DauT is The GOAT!!! There is no room for doubt there!!! All hail the Lord and savior. You have earned something more than S-Tier victories or cash prizes dear DauT... you have earned Respect!!! Thank you for your contribution to AOE2 and thanks for always being there as a friend and well-wisher to all the new talents who have come after you, looking up to you as an inspirational figure!!!
Also a Viper fanboy here. I remember a stream a while back where Daut came up (I think in relation to his APM, which for a pro is obviously 'slow'), and Viper was very clear, basically says "I say these things but I don't really mean it. He's still an absolute beast, one of the best players, and has been for a long time". As you say, the respect is obvious Whenever I watch Daut being interviewed, he strikes me as having a very dry sense of humour and quite self-deprecating. I assume, having known each other for years, they are comfortable ribbing each other.
I love Daut, po-Tatoh, Vipah and Jordan all of them are hilarious in their interactions with each other, bagging each other out, but lifting each other up too. One of my favourite moments I think it was Viper commentating on Daut's micro, bagging the crap out of him, then all of a sudden Daut became a micro god and Viper was losing his shit. It was the best.
One of surely, the longest active idk Aoe1 has some old blood still active too i think Broodwar might also have some old bones 🤣 But yeah he is a big outliyer
To me the absolute hightlight of Daut as a person is when he and The Viper are bantering and trolling eachother. That interplay is what got me interested in watching the game streamed at all. Absolute legend.
I have connected a lot with some of the pro players through how their playstyle expresses their personality and getting this insight provided by you guys into DauT's history (and hopefully soon that of other GL members) it really helps deepen this connection and enjoy watching DauT play.
I hope in RBW Reinado they give DauT something like an honorary prize, like the "career achievements oscar" they give in the oscars. So all the people can show it's love to him 💕
Today, I learned two things : DauT is amazing, and this 2. Nd4 move you see at 6:09 was somehow successfully played by no other than Abdusattorov against Grachev in 2021.
Amazing work, really appreciate the stuff you are putting out masmorra. I have a feeling with the in depth legacy of someone like daut, that video also could have lasted 3 hours.. :D
Just for the record, I had little to do with the making of this video! I basically was given a script and recorded it...thats it! 😅 Editing, writting were all done by the GL team!
@@MasmorraAoE I have no idea what crazy amount of work it would take to track down old legendary games for these players, but seeing Daut/Viper/Tatoh/Hera/etc. playing when they were younger and having some rudimentary analyses on the games…like talking about how this particular strat has fallen out of favor, etc. would be a very interesting style of video.
Daut is all of us, he represents us at 1100 elo who cannot do shit and reminds us that all you need is to shit on the viper while market abusing your way to victory!
Red Bull Wololo was considered perfectly suited for Liereyy's playstyle considering the aggro Empire Wars setting. I don't think anyone considered Daut winning a whole tournament although he can get upsets at that point, but to do it in Empire Wars was the icing on the cake!
the games in the final were so exciting, i still have it imprinted in my mind, especially the one where daut played mayans. Edit: I think this set of games excited me more than a real sports game ever has. thats something, AOE2 has still so much potential
Reminds me of what Viper like year after RBW 3, that after RBW 3 Daut on their team was like "See, still got it, even at my age, you guys are lame... :) " and if they let him win again they will never hear end of it :D
Noriaki Kasai standing on podiums of ski jumping competitions at the age of 45, Ken Doherty still beating young snooker prodigies at the age of 54... There is just something different about people who seemingly defy the passage of time :) EDIT: Also I'll recognize Johannes Bornlöf's music anywhere, solid choice ^^
I'm so glad to see high level of production coming to AoE content. Keep it up GL, and great narration from Masmorra!
Ty and agreed for the narration!
The lord does as he pleases

@@laionbeats306 Thank you! I do :) AoE and its community really helped me through a difficult time
Amazing video! Masmorra's voice is perfect aswell ♡
Saludos Nacho
el shift con la nariz :v
DauT is not only one of the greatest of all times, he IS AoE 2 personified. Equal doses of competitiveness and goofyness.
We love you, Lord

Oh my God that's hilarious. Very creative
He deserves it, I'm so glad that he got a documentary

you know its great production when you get goosebumps watching it. well done GL, amazing video
Cut the Age of Empires from the title and its fine

cut "in Age of Empires Esports" for even more accuracy
For utmost accuracy cut "Story in Age of Empires Esports"

Amazing documentary about an iconic player and his greatest moment in the last five years!
Thanks for this GL. Great for the game to have these backstories ❤
Damn, I was watching the finals live back than, still this recap gives me goosebumps.
Thx for this amazing video.
Daut's game knowledge is SO sick. Other players may outmicro him, but his decision making feels like he's playing on all-visible. It's incredible
The footage of that original AoK box really brought me back!! The civ booklet inside was incredible too
Daut's dedication and love for the game is unparalleled. A true legend.
Hands down best video I've watched all my life.
YESSS! More content like this ❤. We love our DauT 😊. Also I am loving the podcast as well
To me the absolute hightlight of Daut as a person is when he and The Viper are bantering and trolling eachother. That interplay is what got me interested in watching the game streamed at all.
Absolute legend.
He also reinvented the role of Cav Archers in the game in that tournament. Changed the whole meta.
This is one of the greatest AOE in depth videos ive seen. AOE2 is a game which is timeless. Go DauT !
Masmora you're awesome my dude. Love your passion for Aoe2, it is infectious!

Good stuff! DauT has a great personality, by far my favourite streamer to watch, thanks for the video.

Epic commentary for the final! Great video!!
Great content! This video and the ones Tiramis made are so pleasant to watch
Amazing video. I still remember tearing up with joy when he won that redbull. Daut is the true GOAT.

Love to see high quality AOE content like this.
So glad we all agree that the RBW3 win was the greatest esports accomplishment of all time.
Great video, DauT is a legend for many many folk
great documemtary and narration

It's crazy when you think that Lierrey wasn't even born when DauT first entered the AoE2 scene
Such a great video! Thank you!!!
Amazing video! Daut is such a nice caracter!
Amazing work. Very well done 👏
always a good day to see daut play

Hope he plays forever until late retirement. All heil Lord Daut !
great stuff, awesome vid
Great video! I loved reliving this
The legend above all legends. He is the true Cinderella.
Nice RBW promo featuring DauT. Kappa
But seriously well done. Let's go DauT, at least for another 20 years!
Well done Masmora and GL

Fishing ships created by Liereyy - Zero!
Beautiful video
DaUt is what Defines AoE 2 Longlife - Pure fun and Great Strategy
7:54 , iconic clip to use
I see Daut content, I like
Many underestimate bulgarians, but Daut knows how to use them. Awesome player he is.
I know it about daut but you had me at Jordans smile
What a great moment, I was there...
Daut makes me proud to have Serbian heritage. 😅. The guy is hilarious. I've only played for less than a year but you can see how loved he is.
Legend! Simply Legend
RBW3 has to be my favorite tourney of all time, just because of The Lord. You never DauT The Lord.
Great video!
The Daut Castle: It’s my one mod.
Grieg's _Hall of the Mountain King_ should have been playing the entirety of the video. For that, I'll make this an A-. 😁
15 more years please :)
Wait I thought Tiramis does the insane docu style vids, guys please don't confuse us like this 😭
Healthy competition ;)
God praise the lord DauT
The Legend of DauT.
9:15 is exactly why I loved wachtig DauT.
I still cant believe they didnt use the old interface menu in DE. It was part of the AoE culture :(
Good story well told, good job
Great video
amazing story
We need more daut skins in the game
Daut there's no doubt he is Legend.. 🎉🎉
