In the summer, do you think it’s possible to land at Frankfurt, get my checked luggage, get through customs and get to the train station in under 2 hours?
It's possible. You'd take the subway to the Frankfurt Main station which is about 10 stops from the airport (25-30 min away).
@@TravelDolo You have to take the S-Bahn (suburban train), which takes only 13 minutes (4 stops). There is no subway line to the airport

English is spoken after they realize you don't know German, but German is spoken first.

I have a stop in fra to get connection to go munch and the connection is an hour and 40 min, us this time enough to get through customs and to get the gate. Flying Lufthansa.

be prepared for long line and slow as hell in check in witch might be couple . Be prepared for the walk off your life and as result for only 40 min BE PREPARED OF LOSING YOUR FLIGHT. The worst aeirport the mos unprofessional people working there.
I'm flying in to a connecting flight to Paris. I have a 4 hour layover. Would i have enough time to go through customs get a stamp in my passport, have lunch and get back on the flight?
You'd be pushing it, but it's possible. Take the subway downstairs, it's quicker and better than a taxi.

Silly question -- how do you pay for things in the airport if you're traveling from the US?
You can use your card or they have currency exchange for cash.
In Euros, just like Europeans need to pay in USD if they're in the US. You can most - but not all card too.
You don’t pay you just take things you like
I always arrive with a stash of the local currency. You can order it from your bank before arriving. Give them a week. ATMs from official banks of the country you are visiting gives you the best rate when you arrive. You won’t find these in the airport. I always bring at least $300 worth of local currency and then find an ATM once out of the airport. Never use one of those pop up ATMs. Always use one that is attached to a bank and locals are using. At home, I use my credit card for everything to protect my debit card and checking account. When traveling, I use cash for small purchases to protect my credit card as it is much more important than when home. For this to work, I only use my debit card for cash at trusted ATMs.

I think it was American Airlines
It was American. Based on the plane type and arrival time, I am guessing AA70 from DFW.
Was it difficult to get the connecting flight
