This one a passenger will see when departing from FRA. If a passenger has a connecting flight, well , perhaps consider yourself lucky, b.c. You are already within the busy airport. Jeb - great video as always. For many US military members and their families, Frankfurt - and the former Rhein-Main AFB where Terminal 3 is now being built - was the "Gateway to Europe". It's also where you can find the Berlin Airlift Memorial. And - for those of us who are also train aficionados - there are not just one, but two train stations at the Airport - the high-speed station under the Squaire office building, and the "Regionalbahnhof" below Terminal 1. Keep up the good work!
Awesome video. I used to travel to FRAPORT quite often when I was stationed in Germany. Hopefully I make it back there in the coming future to visit kinfolk there.
I have a recommendation for a short rail trip. If you are ever in Northern California, there is a train called The Skunk Train. I rode it a few times as a kid and they still run to this day. They started in the late 1800s. It is more of a slow scenic view through the Redwoods. They have many different options, but the average is about 2.5 hours. But it is BEAUTIFUL! I don't live in the area anymore, but they used to have open cars you could just stand in and enjoy the views. I plan on taking my wife up there someday. The last train she was on had a car derail on Donner's Pass back in around 04'. They were stuck there in four feet of snow for about 16 hours. Luckily, they weren't starving. :P Love you channel. :)
It’s been over decade since I’ve been to that airport and I am seeing so many changes right in front of me in this video. I 100% need to go there to check it out. You should document Munich the next time you go to back to Germany.
Long time fan but I put off watching this video for two weeks. I live ten minutes from Newark airport and for the last 25 years have traveled to Germany at least twice a year. Which means I usually have to go through Frankfurt and have no love for that airport. Long lines with multiple security checks is beyond annoying. I try to fly direct to Munich instead. But, this video did give me a new appreciation for the facility. You showed me how multiple employees are trying to keep the place running with all that traffic. So thanks for that and hugs ro Suzanne.
I have been travel through Frankfurt Airport many times, and every time, that I can always find something new, and always enjoy to be there. Thanks for your video, which truly gives me another perspective view of the Frankfurt Airport! Thanks again for your efforts and videos!
I have several Frankfurt airport stories, but my favorite by far was staying in the air-side transit hotel on a sleepy Sunday evening; relaxing in bed with a window that looked out over the ramp and runway as planes arrived, taxied, and departed with a beer vending machine just down the hall was as close to first class luxury as I have ever come.
WOW! Such an awesome experience for you and Suzanne and such an awesome airport. I’ve been looking into flying into Frankfurt specifically for my next European trip just so I can experience Lufthansa‘s 747 routes. A big thanks to all the employees at the airport who helped you with your video and help the general flying public on a daily basis.
We live in Kenya and I've flown through FRA at least 30 times. Your behind the scenes video was excellent and showed me things I never knew about FRA. Also the airport hotels for long or overnight layovers are convenient. I love the forest trails next to the airport as well. I used to work on the ramp (apron) for United in Denver. You explained all of that "under the wing" activity very well. The highlight of my shifts were when I got to do the "push backs" for the planes althought we didn't use those huge tugs you were in. Downside of Denver is working outside loading and pushing planes in sub zero weather and snow.
This video turned out to be better than I expected. Such a joy to see an airport that's not across the world on this series. One take things for granted when you live in the country. Refreshing to get an outside view. Well done, what has fallen a bit short is the connecting into the country. There is a long-distance train station right at the airport. So you can travel very comfortably. There are even domestic flights offered by some airlines as a train connection.

One take things for granted when you live in the country. Refreshing to get an outside view.
Well done, what has fallen a bit short is the connecting into the country. There is a long-distance train station right at the airport. So you can travel very comfortably. There are even domestic flights offered by some airlines as a train connection.
Wow really awesome video, thank you for taking us with you.
This was by far one of the coolest videos. Thanks for creating and sharing
I've been to the Frankfurt Airport at least 6 times or so, on my way to and from Chennai, India via Lufthansa. The Frankfrut Airport is very large and at times very confusing, if you're not careful. But a great airport it is! Great behind the scenes Jeb, awesome coverage!
I agree that it was very confusing at Frankfurt Airport
Loved your video on Frankfort airport. I was there years ago and even then it was wonderful. Thank you for taking me on memory this time this time.
DUDE, this by far is the most entertaining, informative video ever! great job you two!
I am so happy you did another one of these! I love these!
Woohoo, great to had you here in Germany, loved that video! Great content and nice that Fraport made this possible!
Thanks! 😃
I love all of your videos, but especially your “behind the scenes” airport videos!!!
Man, that premiere yesterday was fun! Let me know the next time you do this. I am definitely in!
I absolutely love this Airports Revealed series!!
Hey Jeb! I love your videos, I’ve been watching for over 2 years or more! I look forward to your videos every week, when you weren’t able to upload for the 3 weeks it made me very excited to see what you had coming
I LOVE this series! And what perfect timing! We are transiting Frankfurt airport on a 3.5hr layover next month. From an EK A380 to a Lufthansa inter-euro flight.
Wow! Taking new heights Jeb! You’re now taking your TH-cam Channel into an airport documentaries. Very informative to know how airports work and the fundamentals of its logistics. Way to go! Subscriber since 2017.
Flown through FRA so many times and hated it. Now I want to go back and spend time there at the visitor center, ramp tour, and the big clicky board!
01:50 I'm thinking that visitors center should be a must see if visiting Frankfurt.
Another Fantastic presentation from Jeb and Suzanne!
As I travel the world, I get to see how cities, counties and countries support airports and help them grow in a mutuality beneficial way and then I go through my old home airport of Gatwick where they can't even get a second runway.....Anyways, nice video Jeb.
I really enjoyed this video of behind the scenes, I'm retired from Eastern Airline, from the computer field, so nothing like this, I wish more of America's airports would be Frankfurt Airport. Jeb, a big thank you.
We had the chance to get a behind the scenes view at „Lufthansa Technik“ and Fraport in 2017 as part of our studies at the university. We were able to go into a 747 and visit the groundcontrol. After seeing your video I can only reinforce your statement that Fraport does an excellent job on showing their work to interested people.
WOW JEB! This has got to be the best & most interesting video you have uploaded to your channel! When I visited Frankfurt Airport, I had no idea about most of the stuff mentioned in this video, so I now feel super lucky & privileged to have been able to visit Frankfurt Airport & look forward to going back there some time in the future!
What a timely video as I'm connecting through Frankfurt next Saturday on my way from Edinburgh to Montreal. Brilliant video as always. I love these behind the scenes videos and your obvious enthusiasm.
Jeb, what great video, unfortunately my flying for workdays are over but, when I was flying, always thank everyone, from the captain to ground staff. Greetings from Mexico.
You've done it again Jeb, your content is outstanding! Thank you!
Absolutely worth the wait. This was great
I thoroughly enjoy all of your videos but this is one of your best. The editing and camera work was top notch. Please keep them coming!
The supertug ride was unbelievable!
My respect for FRANKFURT AIRPORT and staff went up :)
Great content! You did a great job using the access behind the scenes. Your channel has become one of my favorite subscriptions!
Awesome, thank you!
That visitor center is awesome, especially the globe. I want to visit just for that.
