I didn’t even know this existed. That’s honestly so crazy. I should have known there was some system of the sort like that. Imo, I would just rather grow my audience based off of the info that’s there. The people that came before or who are bigger got there through the grind. No point in trying to copy. I think originality or simply putting your own voice or opinion out there builds your fan base and not take another’s fan base and bring them to yours. Then you’re always second rate info. But I’ll definitely check this out and see what it does. If anything I could use better thumbnails or titles for videos
You tube has a tab in the backend called "Inspiration" that just tells you what other people are doing and what is doing well. It's because people watch the same topics and content types over and over again.
My wife found out her algorithm / YT account was tied to the Google home device in our kids room. Skibidi and Grimmace Shake for hours. "Hey Google, you're stupid" is also a common phrase used on her account.
Well there content is fine. But the suggestions for good videos are just the same for everyone. It's actually a good resource but if everyone uses it everyone's stuff is the same. I don't even think it's ententional.

Aside from this channel, I go through Moxsy as well, and a little channel by the name of RealAsianRobot, who has more mid game, budget builds and is doing a F2P playthrough (aside from cosmetics), so you can see how lucky/unlucky he is with drops.
you are totally right rye, those videos are mostly halfassed content baits, i think the majority of their effort goes into the thumbnail and the title so that the algorythm catches them. But the content is either blatantly copied from better creaters or just plain wrong, they dont know what they are talking about, its all about the clicks, the money, so those spineless losers can pay their rent. You are doing a great job, going from zero to 27k during the TFD launch and the views - subscriber value shows thats your growth is only a matter of time. Lets hope the TFD devs wont let us down.
@@ryechew I assume it gets views, not everybody is on reddit. So a summary of what people are saying has to be appealing for a lot of people who may not be active in comments. I have those channels on do not recommend as they add zero value for me. I don't mind people reading patch notes but please add your opinions on how you thing it will affect the game. This is pretty much like low quality review papers. They just compile what has been published instead giving readers a unique perspective based on the work reported.
Well that makes sense. As a 41 year old man who's been on youtube since there was maybe 20,000 people on here i just figured everyone was doing the same thing because a style got popularized. Its worse than i thought lol.
I've never heard of VidIQ and I'm sure that does contribute to some coalescing of video topics. But it's really clear to me with the generally low quality of builds, especially in the first few weeks of this game being out that everyone was simply copying everyone else and had no idea how the game worked. Way too many videos of people telling you you had to build something exactly a certain way, but they could never articulate why you needed to do it that way. This tells you all you need to know about how they're just copying someone else's builds/ideas.
Videos for video game content are mostly the same across all games. Creators get a lot of their info from viewer who get some of the information from other creators community’s.
Ryechews is 1 of the like 3 TFD videos I'll watch..... but I often listen to the video as I'm at work, etc, and..... that ending through me so far off. I thought I zoned out, and the topic got changed.
I know this is a big ask but could you do a full descendant break down of each of there ability’s and how they scale duration and range? Certain characters will scale range only or duration only on specific abilities. It might be a quick video to do by just labeling ability’s 1234 and checking boxes with “just duration” “just range” “both” a reason I can’t do this is because I don’t have all the different descendants. If you did this it would be really helpful for understanding who scales what and how
Ya that makes sense, I like the VIDIQ tool for the stats, not the content suggestions. Figure, it's a fine line between a title that is intriguing and one that is click bait, however some creators will just leap over that line and dive deep into clickbait territory lol. Also, Monster Hunter Wilds HYPE!!!!
I once dreamed that we would use AI to solve problems that were boring, time-consuming, and required brute force number crunching. I mean, you know the boring practical stuff, traffic lights, freeway design, power distribution, and certain logistics. Instead, we have created multiple unaware AI overlords telling us how to stay entertained... so cool humanity. I check in on your TFD stuff because you seem to actually check the environment and cover what is wanted but not done to absolute death.
Semi-relevant but tbh I'd be interested if you made more 'typical' tfd videos, specifically build guides. Because you've established how much research you put into the mechanics within the game that I can click a build guide from your channel and basically assume there was a lot of thought put into whatever the build was. Mostly because you've
The worst offenders are the ones that simply just read the patch notes. ESPECIALLY with their use of clickbait words lol. I get clickbait to an extent but when all their content is so lazy... ugh.
I thought it was mainly people just trying to capitalize on the hype & freshness of things as they do in every other popular game. Whether it be covering the latest hotfix, exploit, bug, Rehashing the same farming / build / boss guides, Or posting their review / first impressions / thoughts of the game. Biggest gripe to me is no one has yet to consolidate things in a clear concise manner with examples, tables/spreadsheets and alternatives galore.
As a content creator (livestreams) i actually just create my builds by experimenting, or with my viewers advice, or friends discovering something. I tried guides from YT, none of them made me as powerful as i am just by building with trial and error. And once more, this is during my livestreams. So i don't do the "THIS IS THE ULTIMATE BUILD FOR THIS CHARACTER" thing.
I agree with so much, no one is showing good and quality content, to seems they pick someone's content that's doing well and completely steals the content, i saw a content creator posted a video recently and it completely has the same content, word for word and all from another content creator who posted his content few days after the game launch
Keep putting passion into it and actually playing the game (without being carried by your posse) and you'll be better than most of the TFD videos YT recommends for me.
content creation reflects what interests the masses. the masses are brain dead mouth breathers, and the mass of content is garbage that entertains them. aka skibidi toilet brain rot. Thank you for being intelligent, different, and not afraid to talk about subjects such as the copy cat youtubers. you shine above the rest
Also a reason why so many videos are so similar is that tfd currently hasnt really much to go over besides builds and farms. And when it comes to builds most people come up with a near identical optimized build because there isnt really that much to experiment with
nah, you can talk about other stuff to. specific mods, playstyles, overall status of the game, skin rating. builds and farming are just the first think in mind.
Devs look seems we did make the game to easy so next Collosus will have a annoying safety build in when doing to much damage per hit the frenzy bar will fill at triple speed so players need to think other way to kill the boss in 7 secs. Also Devs : sorry we did misstranslate was not 7 secs but 7 mins 😅
i know this has nothing to do with this video but could you please do a video explaining how the Preemptive strike module works (descendant mod). ive tried using it on valby thinking it would be good but it doesnt seem to do any damage at all
I pretty much only watch your channel as you provide actual information and put in the actual work to figure this out. Most of these other content creators just vomit out words.
The very first day i saw your content i said this is a content creator who is not like the others who are copying and pasting other youtubers content. No one shows basic information that is needed anymore. Most of their content is 100% misleading, i believe that as a youtuber, your content is supposed to be for the people to help them become better and save time for players who dont have that time to spend on the grind
Because y'all aren't gamers period. There's a lot of things TH-camrs have not shown that i personally haven't revealed either and i will keep gatekeeping this info.
@@Illusive1313 exactly and they're so annoying with their clickbait titles claiming they have new information but it's just reddit posts that anyone can read
This is why nobody has health on their characters and I'm picking them up off the floor. Dead dps = 0 dps. Correction: Dead DPS is negative dps if someone else is rezzing you
And don't forget that a lot of Ytubers don't actually play the game themselves (looking at you moxsi). They have teams that makes builds for them and they just parroting so they don't even understand what they are talking about.
Why youtube feels the same can be categorised into one simple word: Clickbait Because people want views they clickbait and clickbait gets views. Simple math. Everyone does something along the lines of clickbait titles or thumbnails as they gather the most people. Sadly the majority of people see shiny and they click without seeing if they care at all, there is not high enough internet maturity. I used to hate youtube being the same but I gave up, chose a few content creators to watch and stick with them because I know they can provide the content even with or without clickbait, ever since I chose that, youtuber never felt the same
I think all the content for this game all feels the same because there isn't much to create content on. You're either showing how to build a weapon or character, discussing dev news, or showing the best farming spots for the week. Besides the GOAT going over all the math what else is there to create content on?
Could I ask that you do some content on Esiemo? If you don't own him I would happily purchase him for you and donate for your time. I am having issues trying to figure out creative explosion transcendent mod for him. I can NOT get it to crit and any dmg mod doesn't increase the dmg of the leftover bombs.
It is pretty simple because people just want the easy ass way into things. Doing what everyone else does is the braindead way of thinking but sadly it works for many people. I mean how many Unboxing channels are there and manyne of them are pretty big now. So many people lack good creative ideas to make videos so they just follow what is easy.
Okay, first tip: With whatever weapon you have out for the reactor buff, run as much magazine size on it as possible. The rounds per magazine percentage bonus actually affects how many rounds Freyna's 4th skill LMG holds, add a little skill duration as well and you can fire off almost 90 rounds at a time
@@ryechew one of the reasons I like you is your no frills approach. You do your premise, show your work, show your results. I like that rather 5 minute rambles between points to pad out run time. I also liked the video on focusing less on dps. I’ve said to a few mates that their build may do more on paper than mine but it does less in reality if you’re crawling around the floor half the time.
I think part of the reason I see the same build videos for this game I think is because while TFD is fun to play, it's hard to make entertaining videos for. Like, think about it. What would you consider an epic video for this game? A quick colossus kill? That's an ad for a new build. Wildly beating enemies while moving around all them with grapple? That's like a stepping stone on Bunny's playstyle. Watching a person reroll the same amp for the hundredth time looking for a specific part? It's funny at the start but just depressing as it goes on. I've only found one video recently called Freyna STOMPS .exe or something that was somewhat entertaining and even that was just normal gameplay with memes and music edited in. It's too hard to make content for this game. That's why everyone defaults to build peddling or reddit scrolling.
just like Warframe YT content creators, ill pick a dude that experiments on build rather than following a meta or a dude that can melt my brain with math.
So true. 80% of the content is almost copy & paste or translated. I'm just surprised that there is less reacts to reacts to reacts at tfd. :D I would like to see more courage from the creators and at least refer them to the original creator. But that's probably not going to happen in the click-hungry TH-cam world.
Dude, original thought is rare, and y'all reporting on the same topics. Click bait titles and thumbnails are just this phase, genAI reactions are the next step to get videos out there instantly. TH-cam needs a non-human generated content filter.
I blame the algorithm. Content creators want to reach the most people possible (To either help them, engage with them, make money or all of that). When people like me get turned away by the boosted formulaic content and go elsewhere we just change the algorithm. I've started to discover youtube channels more from outside youtube because of how youtube recommendations work. Yes youtube I just watched a video on patch 42WTF for NEWGAME, but that doesn't mean I want to watch another video on patch 42WTF for NEWGAME (I already got what I wanted). Nowadays I stick with creator I find (Through recommendations in forums, games and friends) and follow them. It may mean I miss out on the NEWEST thing sometimes and find out about it later. Or sometimes a creator switches content (Happens a lot with smaller cretors that focus only on a single game genre and then switch to something else. Totally legit, but I may not be interested in the new content) or style (Switching to what works for the algorithm when in reality their original style was what drew me to them). It's an ongoing thing and something all creators need to keep in mind. Having a balance in being attractive to the algorithm to get discovered and unique enough to keep people interested and engaged (Because if all content is the same then there is no need to follow a specific creator. Good for youtube, not so good for creators).
That shouldn't matter anyway information is information no matter who it's coming from some people don't see the other guy they might just see you so this is where they choose to reside and then some might see the other guy instead of you (shrug) if you do take somebody's information just make sure you credit that person.
i have a video request on the mod, Arche acceleration. i have tried it on viessa and lepic, to see if i can get more ticks, faster use, or range. i dont think it works, but i am also super confused.
Holy shit now i know why i weirdly hated most content for this game and felt like i wanted to get away from it. I have HUGE hate for any AI related things. especially if it replaces what a human should think or say. maybe i trained myself to kind of detect AI now lol. Either that or its just actual garbage and i went through a useless brain gymnastics session. Your channel is amongst 3-4 channels that i don't mind watching when it comes to this game. all the other 100+ channels are going to my blocked list lol.
I was so lucky while farming for one of the Gley Blueprints that I had to spend a week running between the outpost and the void reactor. The 32% drops happened less than the gold drops overall and when they did happen I kept getting the LMG. Maybe they could change the 32% drops to an item that you redeem through research? I would need to run by there anyway and that would allow the player to select the common reward without needing to “rig” the drops to be less random as this could be a headache in the long run
Because making original content requires some skill and a lot of effort. If they can please the algorithm and get the view revenue with low effort dribble and ignore the need for creativity, why wouldn't they? Creators want the money, any who say otherwise are full of it. Sadly it's got to the point where there is so much dribble that the ones that really try and create original stuff don't rise to the top because they are lost in the mess.
it's sad it's mostly noting but click bait or lies about the best gun or best spot to Fram gold and other things it really needs to stop because it's f ING over new comers thx you for not being like those other TH-cam and making good content ❤
"THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING"-videos in a nutshell: - 5 minute rambling about some fix or change - whack comparison to other content - basically nothing changed And at this point, I'm certain that some channels don't even play the game and just use pseudo stock footage while they read reddit for you. It's actually pathetic.
Just not a fan of having to filter through 10 minutes of nonsense for the info I want. Too many channels doing full length features on one announcement then turn into speculation. Having to filter through those channels to find the creators that are helpful is a chore. Finding you was like hitting a gold mine.
Thats why im trying to play and push my Sharen and make no bullshit,un cut and un-editied videos. Still , Ryechews is being apart from TFD content trash bin, I love research and maths behind Im not being the best builder , im just a good shot , so I show how well can I shoot :D
Moxsy tests during streams, Fervor Gaming seems to also do his own testing and know what he's talking about. Those 2 and you Rychew are pretty much the only non yappers making content for this game.
In other words, unimaginative and lazy people make up the majority of content creators. They use tools for everything and put little to no creativity and thought into what they're making. Basically breathing bots copying each other and letting AI do the "work" for them. And their channels will barely get attention and they will wonder why. Followed by more new channels doing the same thing getting the same results. As a creative software/ IT graduate who did YT amd retired (not this channel) and got nearly 200k subs after a couple years, I've seen what YT and all the wannabes do. It's a meat grinder now and nothing like it was in the 2010s.

Interesting behind the scenes take. If content creators start doing that infinity-mirror thingy you were doing im gonna burst out laughing
Yeah it's good for that. Its good to feed thumbnails in the the thing too.
But the best thumbnails are thirst traps for the algo
You tube has a tab in the backend called "Inspiration" that just tells you what other people are doing and what is doing well. It's because people watch the same topics and content types over and over again.
My wife found out her algorithm / YT account was tied to the Google home device in our kids room. Skibidi and Grimmace Shake for hours. "Hey Google, you're stupid" is also a common phrase used on her account.
Haha. The skibidi era is wild
Appreciate you and what you are trying to do to make the community better. Keep up the good work.
Thats both hilarious and sad. So half the content creators out there arent really creating content, their copying what an AI tells them to do
Well there content is fine. But the suggestions for good videos are just the same for everyone.
It's actually a good resource but if everyone uses it everyone's stuff is the same. I don't even think it's ententional.
more than half im afraid. Its really hard to find quality content for this game
@@ryechew Oh yeah I understand that, but the idea for the video is not theirs, they just asked an ai and did what it told them. Which is hilarious, but a bit sad too. Be creative and do your own thing! (like you)
There are alot of content creators that have gone onto my 'do not recommend' list because their topic/title is like the ones you showed in your video. Like the creators that every update say 'huge changes' and 'must see fixes' and 'the game is changed forever!' when really its just a meh update that doesn't really do much
@templargfx all updates... hahaha.
I will probably do a video on all bug fixes updates and values at the end of the season
@@ryechew You mean a seasonal recap? That would be actually something new, still old news but a nice new way to see an retrospective at where the game has come from so far.
Since you're so good at explaining things I depths, it would be nice if you made videos explaining descendants maybe help out people to understand what character is best suited for the play style the want. Cuz i see so many peolple playing x and x characters and just being absolute trash with them
Having to swim through the shit content creators this game has is crazy. I have kinda settled on you, Moxsy and a British guy that has like 100 subs.
Is that Xeptha
Who's the British guy? Share your quality content creators 😊
Lukium?
Aside from this channel, I go through Moxsy as well, and a little channel by the name of RealAsianRobot, who has more mid game, budget builds and is doing a F2P playthrough (aside from cosmetics), so you can see how lucky/unlucky he is with drops.
This is why I always choose low view count content to watch. Most are low effort edit content but you can see the genuinity to share cool stuff.
you are totally right rye, those videos are mostly halfassed content baits, i think the majority of their effort goes into the thumbnail and the title so that the algorythm catches them.
I said this in a few of thier "guides" cause alot of information is inaccurate and they poorly explain why a stat is used
They can't explain it, they don't even understand what they are talking about.
It's all TH-cam content.
Bombshell
Ultimate
Breaking
Insane
Etc...
I need a phone case with a barf bag holder these days.
The CHEEKS!
Tons and tons of SEO slop tittles to tickle the algo
the worse ones are the amazing news and it shows one line from a single change then using reddit posts to make content lol
Haha. Yes the reddit regurgitating is fine but when it's your whole video, like.... why though
3:38 he is just another me
Ryechews is 1 of the like 3 TFD videos I'll watch..... but I often listen to the video as I'm at work, etc, and..... that ending through me so far off. I thought I zoned out, and the topic got changed.
Next Ryechews video topic "How to get the highest ranked cheeks of Albion"
It’s depressing…..
Whether it be covering the latest hotfix, exploit, bug,
Rehashing the same farming / build / boss guides,
Or posting their review / first impressions / thoughts of the game.
Yeah it's obvious who doesn't do it lol
I agree with so much, no one is showing good and quality content, to seems they pick someone's content that's doing well and completely steals the content, i saw a content creator posted a video recently and it completely has the same content, word for word and all from another content creator who posted his content few days after the game launch
Keep putting passion into it and actually playing the game (without being carried by your posse) and you'll be better than most of the TFD videos YT recommends for me.
I was just wondering why my TH-cam has 30 different videos for things I searched once.
I think this is a good thing cause this way you can find unique content faster just need to skip all the clickbait.
content creation reflects what interests the masses. the masses are brain dead mouth breathers, and the mass of content is garbage that entertains them. aka skibidi toilet brain rot.
@jfsebastian8499 Yes you can but that requires a content drought so all the BIS FOMO stuff is already done.
THIS VIDEO IS OP AND BREAKS THE GAME!!!
Devs look seems we did make the game to easy so next Collosus will have a annoying safety build in when doing to much damage per hit the frenzy bar will fill at triple speed so players need to think other way to kill the boss in 7 secs.
Also
Devs : sorry we did misstranslate was not 7 secs but 7 mins 😅
i know this has nothing to do with this video but could you please do a video explaining how the Preemptive strike module works (descendant mod). ive tried using it on valby thinking it would be good but it doesnt seem to do any damage at all
I pretty much only watch your channel as you provide actual information and put in the actual work to figure this out.
The first descendant news/ leak TH-cams are cancer
Especially the ones that just read reddit threads. If your content is nothing more than a hyperlink, the entire channel is useless.
@@Illusive1313 exactly and they're so annoying with their clickbait titles claiming they have new information but it's just reddit posts that anyone can read
This is why nobody has health on their characters and I'm picking them up off the floor. Dead dps = 0 dps. Correction: Dead DPS is negative dps if someone else is rezzing you
hecking love rey
And don't forget that a lot of Ytubers don't actually play the game themselves (looking at you moxsi). They have teams that makes builds for them and they just parroting so they don't even understand what they are talking about.
Why youtube feels the same can be categorised into one simple word: Clickbait
Because people want views they clickbait and clickbait gets views. Simple math. Everyone does something along the lines of clickbait titles or thumbnails as they gather the most people. Sadly the majority of people see shiny and they click without seeing if they care at all, there is not high enough internet maturity. I used to hate youtube being the same but I gave up, chose a few content creators to watch and stick with them because I know they can provide the content even with or without clickbait, ever since I chose that, youtuber never felt the same
It because they all just read off Reddit and call it “content”
I think all the content for this game all feels the same because there isn't much to create content on. You're either showing how to build a weapon or character, discussing dev news, or showing the best farming spots for the week. Besides the GOAT going over all the math what else is there to create content on?
Could I ask that you do some content on Esiemo? If you don't own him I would happily purchase him for you and donate for your time. I am having issues trying to figure out creative explosion transcendent mod for him. I can NOT get it to crit and any dmg mod doesn't increase the dmg of the leftover bombs.
Its not just first descendants all games with high streamer support is like this such as Destiny 2 and Division 2.
I love freyna! Can you please help me understand how to get the most damage put of her 4 skill please so I can melt collosus please!? 😊
Okay, first tip: With whatever weapon you have out for the reactor buff, run as much magazine size on it as possible. The rounds per magazine percentage bonus actually affects how many rounds Freyna's 4th skill LMG holds, add a little skill duration as well and you can fire off almost 90 rounds at a time
You and moxsy are the only ones I trust for TFD content
AbbyHour is pretty good too, shout out to the real ones
A lot of the people that aren't heavily viewed are pretty unique though.
I agree because I’ve seen them do the work. I might not understand all the math but I understand enough to recognise I’m not being BS’ed.
Moxsy don't actually play the game FYI, he's just parroting what his team says and don't even understand what he's talking about.
I would like to see more courage from the creators and at least refer them to the original creator. But that's probably not going to happen in the click-hungry TH-cam world.
We should just admit there is too much creation/to watch.
Dude, original thought is rare, and y'all reporting on the same topics. Click bait titles and thumbnails are just this phase, genAI reactions are the next step to get videos out there instantly. TH-cam needs a non-human generated content filter.
I only clicked this video to see if the girl in the thumbnail had painted toenails, but i guess supporting you also matters, nice vids
Comment Tierlist.
S TIER COMMENTS BELOW
Elly defy this, her content is very "exotic" to say the least
Yo is there anyway to know what kind of debuffs bosses and enemies inflict on us? cant mouseover and read them unfortunately.
DAMN GOOD IDEA FOR A VIDEO
That shouldn't matter anyway information is information no matter who it's coming from some people don't see the other guy they might just see you so this is where they choose to reside and then some might see the other guy instead of you (shrug) if you do take somebody's information just make sure you credit that person.
i have a video request on the mod, Arche acceleration. i have tried it on viessa and lepic, to see if i can get more ticks, faster use, or range. i dont think it works, but i am also super confused.
I was looking at it today. I can't find out what is does lol. It's like it does nothing. But I have some theories.
I saw someone copying your videos word for word , link for link but in french lol
Cool inside baseball
I want to watch content made by humans by humans. Screw the IA boots.
it's sad it's mostly noting but click bait or lies about the best gun or best spot to Fram gold and other things it really needs to stop because it's f ING over new comers thx you for not being like those other TH-cam and making good content ❤
Add on all these TFD creators padding out the 10 mins with reddit thread crap too
TH-camrs are really only creating contents for the algorithm, instead of viewers. Crazy world.
your contents are unique tho.
"THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING"-videos in a nutshell:
- 5 minute rambling about some fix or change
- whack comparison to other content
- basically nothing changed
And at this point, I'm certain that some channels don't even play the game and just use pseudo stock footage while they read reddit for you. It's actually pathetic.
Some channels have paid players how IGN does it.
Still , Ryechews is being apart from TFD content trash bin, I love research and maths behind
Im not being the best builder , im just a good shot , so I show how well can I shoot :D
They are all the same because money. Otherwise they wouldn’t make a video that 50 other people made with 1 difference of 1 level on 1 mod.
🐈👈🏿
here before another content creator copy this content
JUST TO FUCKING ADD KUDOS, HATS OFF, SALUTE 🫡 TO YOU FOR BEING THE ONLY DAM ORIGINAL DAM TFD CREATOR
The clickbait is getting out of hand tbh
Well there’s only so many things in a video game that are worth talking about and everything else is bordering who gives af
Theres almost any video of this TfD guys shit or klickbait only not really any information in them my friend used 6 katalist on a bad bunny build because a guy kills normal devourer...
So basicaly avoid any channel that have similar content beucasue they dont create anything on their own, like we allready knew it was trash in the first place but thats even worse lol
People relay dont think about what they are doing, what a bunch of trash people
I always wondered why all these videos cover the same content it’s annoying af damn NPC’s
Because its all a
copy paste.. copy paste xD
its the same clickbait shit like back in destiny 2 or any game
Becuase tfd content creator are Click bait , view hungry , sorry community .
