To me the Octavia is a poor man’s 3 Series, but it’s built almost as good in terms of quality and materials like the suede on the dash as a 3 Series with basically the only difference being that it’s not RWD. Here in Australia the RS is $60,000 AUD so if I were to buy one I would wait a bit. I haven’t driven it yet as Victoria has been in lockdown more than anywhere in the world thanks to our dictator but with restrictions easing I may drive the RS. Skoda have certainly come a long way.
Not only do I really like the styling of those emblems, for some reason I'm also just enamored with the coloring. Especially combined with black or dark grey body color, that dark copper is really sweet. I believe for my next car I'll be looking for a similar color combo, though unfortunately Cupra hasn't made its way to the US, but maybe VW or Audi?
I want one of these so badly. Sounds amazing, looks mad and an incredible spec. Best “affordable” SUV on the market (compared to range rover, Audi etc)

A great car. Love it. I would definitely recommend it. My uncle has the 310hp vz version and from what I’ve seen it’s definitely worth it. Great looks, great tech and an amazing touch screen, great engine choices like every car in the vw group and very practical. One of the best in its category. Cupra did a great job.
I shot an advert for one of these and absolutely loved it. Brilliantly capable and surprisingly rapid. The only fast crossover I'd consider purchasing.

If you guys ever read this, there is one thing i would like to suggest and that is to lower the music volume vs the vocal sound :) Because if you like us and watch the video’s on the tv we have te up the volume when you talk and lower it because the music is very loud:) Anyway, really love the video’s and best of luck!

They state it as “4.9s” 0-60 because VW don’t want it looking quicker than the more ‘premium’ VAG rivals on paper, it was the same story as the old Polo GTi, Fabia vRS, A1 185 and Ibiza Bocanegra, all had exactly the same engine and gearbox yet the Polo and A1 was listed as the quickest... funny that.
Today I signed the contract for my first car ever which is a Formentor! (Plug-in hybrid version) and I did a test drive today and it is a really good car
@@maxMax-nw9mn I have a deal offered on the 1.6 plug in VZ2 for £379 a month, and 14K in total for three years, I'm seriously tempted. But really put off by all the negative reviews due to the infotainment system having so many issues, which totally ruins the ride as it controls everything!
@@moa9658 first units had some issues with the infotainment system (lagging, confusing / anti intuitive controls, etc), but in 2023 models that is fixed. Just go ahead and by it, it's an absolutely amazing car.
I have to say that is one good looking car for its class. I'm not a fan at all of the SUV thing so the flatter, more sporty look is really appreciated, and the styling is cool but not obnoxious. Even the interior looks great for its class/price, I like it! But i also have to agree that the Cupra branding is a bit weird. Not with the "medieval" argument from Matt, i just think it looks a little bit to much as if its made to look cool. It's like "gamer" accessoires, always a bit too tacky/flashy.
I've got a VZ1 E-Hybrid with 245bhp.. Honestly, best car I've owned. 0-60 Lies to you.. I've done under 5 seconds in this, and it says its supposedly 6.5 seconds. in terms of fuel economy.. if you have the hybrid, charge it when you can. It's the difference of 350 miles on the 40 litre tank, and nearly 900. Beautiful car, very comfortable to drive, I'm in love. dont shortlist it, BUY IT.

Saw one at the dealership. It's actually quite impressive in the flesh, looks muscular and aggressive. Black doesn't suit it very well I think. In blue it looked terrific.
I’m driving a Born for a few months. It looks and drives awesome and that logo projected on the floor at night makes me feel like I’m getting into a Batmobile. However it’s software is awkward. Infotainment system is a little slow and janky. Opening the main menu (where you need to go to change from comfort to range or sport mode) takes at least 30 seconds to load when the car just starts and on average 2 seconds when it’s running. Also the car always forgets your last setting and defaults to “comfort” which is super annoying. The app which should help you control charging also sucks. Made me walk to my car at midnight because it supposedly stopped charging only to find it charging just fine
I just had a test drive with this one. What a great car. I had a hard time driving back to the dealer. My only thing, I simply do not drive so much lately (we all know why), so is it smart to take a lease when you already have a paid car and so no monthly fees? If I needed to drive on daily basis, I would by it.
I saw this car a few days ago for the first time in my life. I see it everyday I go to work. I thought this has to be some kind of sport crossover with such agressive look, plus pretty rare because of another country licence plates. Had no idea this is Volkswagen.
It's not hard, it's just that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, some things look pretty and stylish to one person and ugly and weird to another. Some people like the new M3, some don't. Some like the look of the Toyota CH-R, some don't, its entirely your own opinon.
Where do you see a pretty car? They are all the same, ugly, useless crossovers. Oh yeah..this one has a bit more power and it tries to be a sports car...but it aint.

Such a sweet design, Cupra have got it just right here - I love it! Not the most inspiring range of colours but the matt finish on the Petrol Blue looks fab to me - BUT I understand that you can't apply a ceramic coat to the bodywork so how do you give it an extra layer of protection? (bird poo, acidic rain, water beading and so on)
This is a really nice car I was looking at one the other week. The infotainment system is huge. For me it would be hard to choose between this and the 8R

It's not a good design if you have to explain it. Good designs look good right from the first impact.
They give you a 'members box' with the car which says "welcome to the tribe" inside. It has a carbon fibre bracelet and a key cover in it!

Saw one at the dealership. It's actually quite impressive in the flesh, looks muscular and aggressive. Black doesn't suit it very well I think. In blue it looked terrific.

I’m driving a Born for a few months. It looks and drives awesome and that logo projected on the floor at night makes me feel like I’m getting into a Batmobile.
However it’s software is awkward. Infotainment system is a little slow and janky. Opening the main menu (where you need to go to change from comfort to range or sport mode) takes at least 30 seconds to load when the car just starts and on average 2 seconds when it’s running.
Also the car always forgets your last setting and defaults to “comfort” which is super annoying. The app which should help you control charging also sucks. Made me walk to my car at midnight because it supposedly stopped charging only to find it charging just fine
I just had a test drive with this one. What a great car. I had a hard time driving back to the dealer.
My only thing, I simply do not drive so much lately (we all know why), so is it smart to take a lease when you already have a paid car and so no monthly fees?
If I needed to drive on daily basis, I would by it.
There's also a version of the Formentor with the famous Audi 5 cylinder engine with 390hp!

I saw this car a few days ago for the first time in my life. I see it everyday I go to work.
I thought this has to be some kind of sport crossover with such agressive look, plus pretty rare because of another country licence plates.

It's not hard, it's just that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, some things look pretty and stylish to one person and ugly and weird to another. Some people like the new M3, some don't. Some like the look of the Toyota CH-R, some don't, its entirely your own opinon.

Crazy how a little compact suv thing with a 4 cylinder engine can be as fast to 60 as a £150,000 Lamborghini from just 15 years ago.
Such a sweet design, Cupra have got it just right here - I love it! Not the most inspiring range of colours but the matt finish on the Petrol Blue looks fab to me - BUT I understand that you can't apply a ceramic coat to the bodywork so how do you give it an extra layer of protection? (bird poo, acidic rain, water beading and so on)
This is a really nice car I was looking at one the other week. The infotainment system is huge. For me it would be hard to choose between this and the 8R
What about the upcoming 5-zylinder model of the Cupra Formentor? Wasn´t mentioned at all
