Building My SFF PC for MSFS2020

- It was time for an upgrade to power my MSFS2020 passion and I decided to try my hand as a first-time builder with an SFF kit. Follow along on a 5-minute tour to see the parts used, what the build process was like, and the final result. My goal wasn't to build the most powerful PC possible, but instead to design for a small space with a reasonable budget and excellent MSFS performance. Not a detailed build guide (my first time doing it!), but thought I'd share for all the flight simmers who are considering their own first time build.

Awesome. Very cool to see kids getting involved. I just upgraded to a 5800X3D and 4070TI Super. I hope to squeeze a few more years out of my old AM4 platform. Thanks for sharing. Nice work with the build.
Thanks!
You take a lot of care with your video editing, and it really shows. After seeing your last video, I'm thinking about a 4070 super, but it is expensive (~625 USD).
Thanks! I appreciate it. It’s amazing how expensive graphics cards have become. When I looked at an RTX4090 it cost more than my entire gaming laptop.
I was wondering if a SFF would be ok, but with that liquid cooler - no issue. Very nice and slick. I was like - NO, TAKE THAT CPU COVER OFF, but luckily it worked out :) Lovely setup!
I had a few design goals. One was space and the other was quiet. I can barely hear the GPU fans spooled up now when playing MSFS. With my Razer laptop, it was like listening to a hair dryer on high, enough that I started wearing earphones because my ears would ring after long flights. Nice to be back to barely noticing that the computer is on.
I’m thinking about selling my honeycomb yoke and throttle if you’re interested. I live minutes from kwbw.
Thanks, but I prefer the Turtle Beach flightstick, which is compact and fits my space. I have a yoke and throttle quadrant that I also may sell at some point.
