Thanks! The exterior shots are built in to the Showcase External Camera views. You can bind shortcuts to them to instantly toggle to them. For the interior shots, you can save camera positions and toggle them in the same way. It's all bindable in the settings menus.

@@SDFalchetti Hey, I was just trying that out and simply cannot replicate your camera angles. In the PA28 I only have two fixed camera views (External 1 and 2) and cannot change their position neither can I create new ones. The Free camera (drone view) I can move around, but it does not stay glued to the aircraft like yours, even though I have Drone Follow and Drone Lock mode both on. Did you change the config files for those fixed camera angles?

Mixed. It's hard to beat MSFS live weather simply because the skies look different in each direction. What you see in the distance is what you can fly to without transitions. In ActiveSky it smooths, so you'll see the clouds actively morph with a weather update. ActiveSky does a much better job at putting the clouds at the right altitudes, and even though they don't look graphically better, in shape they look more like what I expect. I think MSFS clouds are prettier, but ActiveSky produces clouds that look more like what I expect for my area.

@@SDFalchetti Yeah, that's why I'm torn. I had thought that was likely the case and its been what I've seen from users' vids. That 2020 live weather with the Rex addon is so good looking.

Mainly I got it for SayIntentions and the few times I want to fly with a preset, since SI can't see MSFS weather preset data and as a result their ATIS will be for live weather conditions, not what you select (unless you use ActiveSky, which they have integration with). I do really like the winds aloft data with ActiveSky and seeing all the wind layers individually set by altitude in the sim. That's something I don't see with MSFS live weather.

@ Yeah, the winds aloft is the detail I want. I did a flight from Allentown to Newport News VA Sunday that is posting in the morning and I went with weather presets that matched the current conditions at Allentown but gave me a bit more visibility. I just didn’t want to fly in a cloud bank the whole way, but as you said, apart from Allentown, it meant SayIntentions was off from what the sim was for the rest of it. Fortunately the Atlantic coast was generally similar as that snow came through. Used the Octavi and by the end I felt super comfortable with it. Very very nice. Just opened up so much more play with the 430/530 which now I need to learn better after avoiding them in favor of the 1000 and GTN 750.

Thanks! I'd be cool to try haptics. I also have a not-so-secret wish to have an actual sim pit with physical controls and gauges, although currently there is zero space in my house for it. Maybe some day.

I had a sim pit and loved it. The buttkicker made it come to life. I wanted more, so I invested in a DOF Reality P6 motion rig. Having experienced that in vr, I wouldn't want to go back. It's the closest I'll get to flying again.

I had a private license and flew several years for fun. That was before I started a family and my priorities changed. My intentions we're to pick it up after I retired but life happened and I cannot pass a medical now. Flying with a sports license wouldn't be safe either. I am able to fly in a motion rig, and for me it's the next best thing. It's still not the same, but I'm incredibly thankful. We can now fly more aircraft, go any place in the world, and enjoy the scenery in a simulator. Not even close to the thrill of piloting a real aircraft. But it's definitely cheaper.

It's one of my favorite planes for MSFS2020 and it does now work for 2024. One issue, like all third party planes in MSFS2024, is that the pilot/copilot are not visible. I'm waiting for MSFS to fix that bug since it's a little weird in my cinematic shots when no one is flying, but for first person it should be great.

Thanks! No issues. Just save them in your Community folder. So far the only issues I’ve seen with libraries is LOD, where the object disappears at distance. These seem okay, however.

Thanks! It's kind of cool that we all continue flying the virtual skies in SayIntentions when we're offline. I like experimenting with IFR with SI. Less intimidating than learning on a service with a busy human controller.

@SDFalchetti Absolutely. I doubt I would have been particularly enthusiastic about IFR without SI for that very reason.

@ thanks for replying back. So I built a project a while back. I want to build a new ramp area with some hangers and a catch you leading up to runway 36. I already created the ramp areas in the taxiway. It’s been quite a while so I have to kind of refresh and relearn on what I did. For one thing when using the top, my view loads in 90° sideways. I tried building a polygon, and I did not see my reference points on the ground. Then placing some hangars, they were just all over the place. Very very frustrating.

I’ll dive into it some more this weekend. I’ll make a video to show some of the struggles I’m having…

@@FLT247 I usually turn off the Developer camera and use the drone camera, which I have mapped to an Xbox controller. It's much easier to navigate in drone mode, I find.

@@SDFalchetti Thanks! my logitech game controller was going all wonky on me in sdk which only compressed my frustration. It would be working fine in drone mode, then the buttons would all of sudden start doing things I did not have programmed. I went out and bought an xbox certified controller, so that might help. Also, the text in my control panels is way larger than yours. Any idea on how to make the text smaller?

Thanks! Agree - I've been with SI since the beginning of the year and it's amazing how many features they've added and how much progress they've made. I'm tempted to fly some tubeliners just to play around with some of their extra features you don't get to see in my GA flights, such as AI cabin and ground crews.

Thanks! I use TrackIR for head tracking and have a Dell 27" QHD monitor that I've been wanting to upgrade to an OLED gaming monitor. Sometimes I fly in VR on the Meta Quest 3, although for channel content 2D head tracked video looks much better.

I was able to get the color to assigned to the shape- I missed that on your video- I dont know why...but I needed to change the IOR (??) value to "1.0" to see the color- at least it is working🙂 but I dont know what about this AOR value... Congrats on the first building! IOR is index of refraction. It affects how light bends through transparent materials.

The ATIS voice was MSFS, but the ATC was SayIntentions.AI. SayIntentions does a great job with VFR requests, but it's in beta and sometimes the AI misses. Considering you're cold calling it, like in real life, and it needs to determine what you want from context, it does pretty well overall. They have a free 24 hour trial if you want to try it for yourself.

That one would have earned a shrug with "a bit flat". Definitely less cushion in ground effect in MSFS2024, although when you do get in it, it feels more realistic than 2020.
