I am falling more in love with denon by the minute....the amount of additional features that have been added since I bought my denon prime is mindblowing and something I would have never expected. Great Job Denon team!!
Every now and then I just think "yeah I wonder if there's a new Engine DJ version available" and boom there it is lol. I will happily pay the 10 bucks even if I don't ever use stems in a set just to show my appreciation for constantly showering us with new features
That’s what I did and best decision I made been having it for 4 years and can’t wait for what’s to come more from denon pioneer is awesome but denon just hits better
Engine DJ is a GOD send, for us mere MORTALS👍 Rather than having to pay "EXORBITANT" fees for the likes of AlphaTheta, Denon💪continues to provide the best BANG for your buck. Would like to see a 4-channel Rotary Mixer from you guys, make it so🤞
I got my sc live 4 today and after a quick and relatively easy setup, loving what can do so far. With the stems, I don't know if there has been an update since this video, but the desktop app created the stems files without buying the licence but I couldn't play them on the unit. I thought it might have been a nice upgrade as it created the file. It's only after having to really dig around and look for the licence, then purchase, then reboot the controller that they actually worked. This video to me makes it sound like you shouldn't be able to create the stems till you buy the licence.
When I drop a track into the stems playlist it says that it's rendering but I've left it for hours and it says it's still rendering, any suggestions as to why this is? 1:49
@ How would it be possible? I noticed that both files have the extension ".stems", but there are two differences: 1 - while serato stems are created in the same folder where the original track is located, the engine DJ sends it to a separate folder. (This would be easily solved by creating a copy of the serato stems to the Engine DJ folder, but there is a second problem) 2 - while Serato creates the stems file with exactly the same name as the track (just having the ".stems" extension at the end), Engine DJ creates a file with a completely random name, possibly the program's own indexing to avoid that. So, how would it be possible to use the Serato stems for the engine DJ?
help me!!! I installed the program to the latest version on my computer. the computer is powerful, there is enough space on the hard drive. I have Denon prime 4+. as soon as I start uploading tracks to the stems, they load and then disappear. why is this happening? What should I do? (((
Just tried it and found this important thing to note: If you store your music library in dropbox folder, even if it is a local copy on your hard drive, the stems generation will not happen. You have to move the file to another local drive folder in order for it to be processed.
2 questions (that should probably be addressed in the DDJ forum?): 1. Why wouldn't you just analyze the entire collection for stems? 2. Is it $9.99 per device or per user? (I have a Prime Go, Prime 4 and two SC5000 media players). Curious if anyone here on YT can answer these.
@@Curiocapper Thank you very much. It seems that it was not yet available yesterday because I searched and searched and I did not see it anywhere. At least in Spain.
I’m sure it’s in case of CPU they use even in Prime 4+, they can make stem separation on hardware, cause libraries which can be used on PCs can’t apply well in engine on hardware on 4+ it’s in case of android or linux kernel support they try voice isolate first in beta on 4+ release, and what they have done. Your PC make stem separation and make file with hidden files and when you load it to controller with updated OS it is recognize it as samples with same time line as a track which you load in deck. So controller is not busy with stem separation…. Older 4+ models I think it s even potentially impossible… thats why they choose this way.
In the beginning there was talk that the processor in denon prime 4+ is no different from SC6000 or any other standalone from that era. Do you want to tell me that this is not coming to my sc6000s?
Never had fees before I'm kind of disappointed. So if I download the 4.2 on my desktop. Can I use stems with my SC 5000 via Bluetooth since I can now Bluetooth my computer to my c5000 as it shows as a drive
I'm glad to hear that, but the 4.1 update has made my Live 4 unusable. It freezes regularly, and when that happens, nothing works except the display. The support keeps delaying a solution, and the 4.2 update hasn't improved anything. This is slowly becoming detrimental to my business.
Why can't you control the volume of each stem like you can with Algoriddim's DJ Pro? And why cant it render on the fly too? I'm surprised that big names like Denon and Native Instruments are struggling to do what the newcomer to the scene has been able to do for a while now. I get that you need a laptop for DJay Pro but still it's only a hardware performance issue.
There is a lot of missing steps he missed and I had to figure it out on my own!!! Very frustrating!! Here’s the real steps: 1. Log in on the actual engine site on your computer! 2. Make sure to buy stems 1st before you turn on the unit or open Engine on your computer 3. After you buy then go to your computer put the external drive in, open the latest version of the Engine software and drag the songs in the stems playlist under collection or right click and select stems. 4. Then hit export! 5..Then turn on your denon or Numark device with the latest software. It will then tell you to restart because there is a new feature added. After you reboot then stems playlist will popup!!! Sooo frustrating!!!
When Denon talked about STEMS, the idea was that it doesn't depend on analyzing and using.... That wastes endless memory on a hard drive, basically can't be done in real time
Is that what they said? That it would not rely on pre-analysis? I don’t remember that. The CPUs in the Prime players are good, but not THAT good to be able to isolate stems in real time. Denon planned pre-analysis the whole time
no, other hardware can do it too but you need to buy an extra one-time license for 10 dollars, and it's only available starting on december 11th. i was worried too, but i checked the website, they explain everything there.
Hey, this what I read - it will be available in December also for all other devices :) . But you need to unlock it through paid one time stems licence 10 USD.

I've been waiting all year since i got the Prime 4+ for stems. Thank you Engine DJ for this feature, such a game changer.
Wonderfull addition to Engine DJ.
Now add the RGB color option in engine dj settings.
Thank you.

Is Denon DJ going to make an instructional video to show how to obtain a Stems license for $10 and add it to Devices?
Congrats!
Why is Pioneer still the default?
what about the regular prime 4
Can we get the option to play with the stems in the desktop app please?
I’ll wait for the stand alone version

Pioneer/Theta taking notes again.
Can we get an app to control this. I don't use laptops for anything
Will serato stems be compatible with the Engine DJ? I also use Serato and it would be great not to have to create two stem analyzes for the same song
Yes. You can do serato stems on engine prime 4

@djpedrosoo connect your prime 4 to your laptop with Serato pro on.

@@DJWendell That's not what I meant. Obviously it is possible to use the stems with the laptop. I mean using it in standalone mode lol
THANK YOU!!! 🔥❤️🔥
having it only double the size is a pretty neat trick. I was assuming you'd be adding 4x the space having a full track for each stem.
will Engine OS 4.2 fix the issues that 4.1 has with the faders and tempo? cause it made it unusable.
And it can't handle 4 Chanel mixes either.
Fk yeah!!! So exciting!!
Working on Prime 2??
Does this work with the Mixstream Go Pro??
11 december but you need to pay for this ...
does this work for mixstream pro +?
Will this ever be available for Prime 4 users?
Can u use stems while playing with Beatport streaming?
Can the pads at the bottom be used for an instant acapella/melody/bass/drums?
So you vant do live stems? They have to be processed inorder to be done properly?
can i do this on my SC6000?
Would it be possible to choose on which pad we can use them like the slicer for example. And would it be possible to move the buttons to akai?
Where are these stems file are saved on your computer? If you want to save them to different drive than C:

as soon as I start uploading tracks to the stems, they load and then disappear. why is this happening? What should I do? (((
Hello, why can't you move folders between the computer engine library?
Make different collections w/ genres and then make playlists from those collections
What are the controls on the Mixstream Pro?
Can I use the stems files via wifi PC?
Fader stems?
Can I use this on the standalone only? I'm too lazy to get up and look 😢
Can it do this for streaming songs..as in creating an analysis file?

Yes. Works with Denon DJ Prime Go.
when come stems on denon dj 6000
When can I do this live without processing before?
RIP PIONEER
Can two 1200 turntables be connected to Prime 4+ and the music be controlled through them also? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
You can control the mixer because it's digital and analog but you can't see the waveform on the screen of control other functions.
@ I see. So I’d be better off just using turntables with Engine DJ and some DVS?
2 questions (that should probably be addressed in the DDJ forum?): 1. Why wouldn't you just analyze the entire collection for stems? 2. Is it $9.99 per device or per user? (I have a Prime Go, Prime 4 and two SC5000 media players). Curious if anyone here on YT can answer these.
Regarding #1, if you have the hard drive space, go for it! For #2, the $9.99 license allows you to playback Stems on up to 4 devices at once
Does it work also with DJ Prime Go?
Yes it does.
I don't know where or how to buy the license for the stems

Can this new steams feature be used with live streaming services such as Tidal, beatsource etc??
