We were at Ruriko-in just a few weeks ago, in mid-August! It is indeed beautiful and peaceful, but very crowded. It was still quiet, though, because all the visitors were respectful of the space. I think it was only open for a few weeks during the summer, according to my wife, who did the research on visiting this place. I'm curious how you got such great solitary video shots there. I'm guessing either they granted you a special session, or your cameraman has amazing timing to shoot between guests passing through. Nice work either way! Also, your kimono and yukata choices all looked lovely. The calligraphy smock was cute, too, though I'm guessing that was provided to you at the calligraphy studio. Thank you for sharing this vlog.
Thank you so much for your kind comment and for sharing your experience at Rurikouin! We visited on a weekday, and it wasn’t too crowded, especially on the ground floor. It was almost empty, which allowed us to enjoy the space to the fullest. I’ve heard it gets crowded in autumn as well, and I can imagine how beautiful it must be during that season. I’d love to visit in winter and spring too, just to see how it looks without the vibrant momiji leaves. But it seems Rurikouin is only open to tourists for a few weeks during the Aomomiji and Koyo seasons 😊Thanks again for watching 🥰🌿
