Thank you for the heads up about the Chuck Rambo video, it's the most interesting one I've watched so far and you are absolutely right, I wouldn't have watched it otherwise because of that title.
Cory just wanted to say I really enjoy watching your channel and I’m not sure about everyone else I like when you talk about the business side of everything as well. Love the fire system rant!
I originally came to the channel for the fish photography now I stay for the off-topic mini rants in the live streams as much as anything else. Municipal bureaucracy, landlord vs tenant business wranglings and ironically, YT channels that stray from their niche subject to dabble in too many other aspects of that same subject. You made valid observations on each of those, Cory. Even when I've missed the Live stream I will watch on Replay when I have time.👍🏼You showed leadership about the metric system too. Keep learning.🏆
Nice easy Listening as Always Cory 👍 I seem to go through phases of MTS and then narrowing down to a few tanks, then get more and have now added a few large Saltwater tanks to the mix haha, trying to find that happy medium Thanks Aaron
I agree with the TDS statement and getting most fish to thrive and most likely spawn in neutral tap water. Until I spawned discus. The fish did great and spawned with tap water. My problem was I wanted a high hatch/growth rate. And that didn’t happen without RO/DI and then adding what I needed. Side note: I was keeping F1 discus and I found that every generation removed from wild caught became less dependent on my inadequate chemistry skills😅
I only use my TDS meter to check my RO system function. The tap water here is chloramine based and super bad for fish. Not to mention every time it rains the water treatment facility adds tons of stuff to cancel out fertilizer and other runoff issues.
Replay time!!! 😀 thanks for all the updates and advise. Also so you know I had 4 ads after the beginning of the stream. I had a question but can never catch the live in time. I bought a few black mollies and a few golden panda mollies from petco (no mom an pop shop here)about 3 years ago they have breed but as littles they look great but the older they get they just look bad they become faded out like the black goes and they become a white orange all over and the solid black get lighter spots on them not pretty at all is this genetic or something else they are in a 20 long heavily planted. Not sure what’s causing this.
Dawkinsia filamentosa, when large eat lots of plants. They ate all of my guppy grass that I added to the tank overnight and eventually at all of my newly emerging Anubius leaves. Had to get rid of them.

I use tds to make sure my water company didn’t add extra chemicals which they occasionally do. I know of a few people who lost entire tanks due to that. If the tds isn’t within its normal range (30ish) I’d skip the water change that day.

Great stream, thanks for all the information and the superb answers to questions!

My Monday morning work treat! I learn so much I wouldn’t even think to ask!
Another great video. Thanks very much from across the pond in the UK.

Thanks for the great advice on breeding for profit, keep it up.

Love your videos, especially this long form. I have a nerite question but will take it to the AC Forum.
Love ya cory! You're gold ❤

Do you feed them baby brine?
@ yes twice a week

@danbrown8979 yeah I got some that are like 8" can't have any plants lol
Auto water changes on a Coke can. The most underrated part of this live!
-40 degrees is the crossover 🤘
Cory you’re the man

Hoping to see a sinking root tab
I've had a TDS meter for quite a while but I've only used it a couple of times.
Re watch crew! ❤
Fusion 360 is cloud based and does cad cam and 3d printing
What should I do when the plants are growing too good and I have to cut them back. I'm talking about the roots.
Hmm, I haven't really run into this, what type of plants are having the issue, like anubias and java fern? sometimes I'll cut anubias roots back.
Nice
Where do I buy that temperature sensor you’re using?
I buy them on Amazon, this is a link for the main hub, plus 1 probe that'll go in water. amzn.to/40YO2Nr
Currently trying to breed some borellii in my hard water. Fingers crossed
Definitely let me know if you do it ;)
@ sure thing !
Replay Crew...
Your cool
Just for reference I am 24 mins into the stream but not watching live and I have gotten 3-4 adds
I submitted the videos of the work flow to. youtube today. So hopefully they can get to the bottom of this issue.
Zero brand water filter will get your water tds to 0.
