I mean some people think any deck that isn’t tiered is rogue but that’s just not it lol, rogue decks are those that are directly below the tiered meta yet still have some ability to compete with said meta even if they aren’t expected to consistently place much in tournaments or see much play. The vast majority of archetypes aren’t even so much as rogue at all.
For the Dinomorphia I will say that it is 100% real When I participated in the YCS Chile, I felt every moment as if my heart was going to explode but I managed at least 6 wins out of 9 before being eliminated.
I would like to shake my hands with you. Im a gradius player. Only relied on cards in hands and boardbreakers. No negates, no recovery, no disruption. Just summon spaceship, hope to draw honest and limit removal that doesnt get negated during damage step. Eversince turn 0, i was on my tiptoes

It's funny because, I learned to play Yu-Gi-Oh (With Cyber Dragon) before knowing it have multiple series of anime (At the beginning I barely only knew the existence of the original anime) So yeah, I love Cyber Dragons and years later I play with them discovered that it's an anime deck.

At this point people will just dislike anything that sees play in general. We've been complaining, and rightfully so, about stupid turn zero end Board and playing against Floodgates and when you have a deck that basically does a completely different thing we still get to complain because of a different reason. I think we should get more stuff like Tear, not on the same power level (that would be insane), just something that genuinely feels like you're playing Yu-Gi-Oh and not making a solitare play waiting for your opponent to break your board/scoop or sitting on a Floodgate forever
Neither of the Tear cards is a floodgate, but has SO MANY stuff going for them, even the "costs", feels like a discard for Dark world players or destruction for Unchained... Would help to banish those cards instead of "sending to the gy as effect"? (Metanoise = BoM + Foolish burial... but is a trap, Rulkallos can stop Nibiru, & next turn Branded fusion for basically no cost, Cryme is an omni that can send a Ishizu name... Etc) Regardless of how annoying it is (Master Duel) to play against so often, indeed, is skill expression instead of floodgate turbo like Kash / Eldlich or "insert x# of negates" the deck, with different flavors so doesn't feel the "same" (Drytron, Adaman, Dragon link) Becomes tedious at some point facing it so often, but at the very least their fields aren't the same all the time, heck, they even have a luck factor in it with their 3/5 milling... In the future, when a deck can rival the glory of Tear, they can come back... Till then, the Tears still drop in MD

Cries in Sacred Beasts not being considered rogue while Dark Magician and Blue Eyes are... Also, that Blue Eyes structure deck got me back into the game back in the day. It was so easy to play. Not good, but easy.
I like Weather Painter because of the columns gimmick + the banish as cost till next turn gimmick, and the interactions the deck has with itsefl and various techs. Besides Skill Drain was super expensive for me so for the first 6-8 months since DIFO i played it with Waking The Dragon and budget techs instead (no money for Zeus, Accesscode or Prosperity either), and by the time i could afford Skill Drain bc of the MAMA reprints i shifted to Speedroids (with no Baronne) bc i wanted some variety. Do wanna get back to the deck tho.
as a tearlaments player: tear0 was not a balanced format. It was good format, it was skillful format, it was interactive format, BUT it NEVER was balanced format
As someone who plays odd-eyes i don't really ethier say it's the best or the other thing,i just enjoy breaking the opponent board using an Odd-eyes raging dragon along with dragon shield in case the opponent tries to pop it off

@Zorgussy Verte being banned would affect more than HERO decks. Literally helps out with any and all fusion decks. Celestial was being spammed in any and every deck due to the draw advantage it gives you. HERO decks didn't need more draw power especially with the amount of support that utilized draw power, and deck shuffling abilities that HERO decks have. Tons of ways to draw and search, so hitting Celestial is not a big deal to HEROES. Liquid Soilder, Cross Keeper, Shadow Mist, E. Stratos, etc all have either draw or search power.
While there's some things I could say about the other archetypes youve listed in this and the other video, the reason I've been playing Galaxy/Photons as a main since Afterglow got announced in the OCG is, in fact, because I can easily make a huge bigfuck attack monster to swing at my opponent. The fact I was playing 60 card engine.deck Maju Da before them kinda cements my propensity for liking big hugefuck monsters... So yeah, pretty spot-on there, at least in my case.

Hot takes : Tear format maybe isn't balanced at all but i think it was one of the most interactive ones because it requires a lot of skill especially in resources management in order to play it effectively in a mirror match. And when i play it by myself, I literally need to think how am i supposed to respond and also need a piece of paper to write the chain link order and how each effect gonna affect the other effect. It's not just about set 5 and then oonga boonga monke flip or 20 minutes of random bs to create an end-board that has a stupid amount of negations that didn't let your opponent touch their own playmat. But yeah, it wasn't fun when a Format was only about one deck and/or archetype.
Yeah I think they should've banned all the Ishizu's and weakened Tear to the point where it can still be played as a deck but isn't too strong, now it's just viable as an engine and isn't even good at that

Most of them aren't rogue, like cyber drago, blue eyes, tri bri, dragonmaid ecc.. are 4fun. Rikka is pretty good, ngl is enough strong for a tier2
