Oppenheimer should 100% be given as full scale of a re-release as possible for the awards season, Universal should put everything they have into pushing it in all categories of all of the major shows.
It deserves to absolutely sweep them all and make another $150M at the global Box Office.

@@user-js2sv I wouldn't mind the production earning more money, but I still find it amazing people care for it. I find myself agreeing with BlokeWithNoBrain over at IMDB: "This movie, about one of the most significant events in the history of humanity effectively boils the entire story down to a very drawn out HR meeting to decide whether J. Robert gets his security clearance revoked or not many years after the event. Er... who cares?" . I know people care, but I too find it peculiar. It's not a bad movie, but it has serious issues. To my mind it succeeded because it was marketed well and had no competition for tickets, except for Barbie, which arguably has a different target audience. And all those facial pores in IMAX...why? IMAX was good for those Batman Dark Knight sequences, but...THIS? Anyway, good for Nolan and Hayslip!

As a physicist, time is one of my favourite topics to see explored and experimented with in film, and Nolan shares that interest and covers it spectacularly well. Almost all of Nolan's films mess with time in some way, either as a literal plot point or through experimental non linear story telling. Even Nolan's films that don't focus on time as much like The Prestige and the Dark Knight trilogy, are insanely good, with The Dark Knight being my favourite of all time. I will probably watch anything Nolan makes in the future, whatever it may be.

Even though I like almost all of Christopher Nolan's stuff, after my first viewing, I would have ranked Tenet low among his other films. It is definitely one that has grown on me though as I have rewatched it outside theaters and learned to lean more on feeling in it instead of understanding like it says in the movie, and I have liked it more as I have come to better understand the temporal pincer maneuver.

I’d love to see him adapt any Asimov work, period. He would actually respect the source material like apparently all studio execs refuse to, i mean the recent Foundation series is a fucking travesty and an insult. The original foundation is among my favorites ever and the thing is, its not impossible to make, its ALL about the politics and the clever plots, not about flashy effects or visuals, thats just filler. Honestly the first Foundation book in hindsight has certain scenes quite resembling Oppenheimer, where boardroom meetings are made fascinating and engaging. If Nolan can adapt any Asimov story he’d have a great material to make another great film

Nolan’s filmography is certainly hugely impressive but, for me at least, his best film is still Memento. Don’t get me wrong I adored Inception, the Dark Knight trilogy was on another level despite a slightly weak third film, Interstellar is, well, stellar, The Prestige was, well, magical and even Tenet is an intricately crafted gem despite that bloody sound mix …
… but I can still remember first watching Memento on VHS. Yes, it really was that long ago. Sitting watching it on my old TV I was mesmerised by the structure, storytelling and performances, not least from Guy Pearce who I’d watched play Mike Young in Neighbours for years so was delighted to see him deliver such a powerhouse performance and go on to become one of my favourite actors of his generation. Anyhow, the film finally ended and I did the rarest of things. I rewound the tape (Yes, such a burden!) and watched the entire film again straight away only to watch it two more times before I had to return it! Even today it’s a film I can put on most anytime and once again get drawn in by the meticulous plotting and editing of the film and whilst the same level of craft is clearly evident, albeit on a bigger scale, in his more recent work it’s his second film that will always stick with me the most.
But as I said he’s a true master and a reminder that you can make big budget blockbusters without resorting to endless CGI and dumb storytelling. Good on ya, Chris!

This is perfect year for nolan to win oscar.he has not won for his bestcworks as oscars more focuses on bipics, war genre, romance and some philosophy social message stuff.this might be last chance for him as oppenheimer ticks of oscar so called focused criteria
    Biopic✅
    Ww2 setting✅
    Hidden social message✅
Intricacies of himan behaviour philosophy stuff✅
Surely oppenheimer will win oscar for best adapted screen play but competition is going to be in major categories like best actor, picture, director, supporting actor.
