A little trick I discovered: when calling in a strategem, sometimes I have trouble isolating the correct one, when looking at the list. This tends to be a problem when I haven't memorized it yet, or maybe I've changed up my kit or the scrambling effect is messing with stuff and especially when shit is hitting the fan and I'm kiting enemies around. Enter support items first and air strikes/orbital strikes last. You want the air and orbital strikes at the bottom of the list, so you can look straight to those, instead of looking into the middle of the list. So I enter railgun, shield, then the airstrikes, with the most frequently used one as last. It's not a BIG deal, but even a fraction of a second can be the difference between getting that air strike in or not.
Considering some weapons, armors and stratagems are noticably better than others, and we haven't gut a huge amount to pick between yet, the loadouts are more or less obvious for a solo player. That being said, I enjoy your content.
Against bugs I use Breaker, Redeemer, Shield Backpack, Railgun, Eagle Strike and Orbital Airburst. Against bots I swap Breaker for Counter Sniper and Airburst for Orbital Railstrike. Helldive tested setups but I prefer Suicide tbh. EDIT: Against bots I use 50% explosive protection armor. For bugs I wear whichever fashion I fancy there and then. Always light armor for the time being.
Well, that's essentially what we are arguing for. Gear is currently not created equal, though, so what you're claiming is basically wishful thinking. Arc thrower is a very good alternative, it destroys large swarms of enemies very quickly and you will never have to worry about getting swarmed at all. It can kill chargers and bile titan too though rather slowly, but you have other stratagems for that. Guard dog rover is also useful as you don't have to worry about getting swarmed, and I find dodging attacks isn't too hard
Gaurd dog isn't as great, i use it often and when i climb i often get killed by my own gaurd dog, and it doesnt always target the terminids closest to you but stays on the one its got
@@Legolo Rover has its downsides but it's horde clearing ability is way too good to ignore. And yes it does team kill but it haven't happened much to me
The guard dogs tk ability heavily outweighs its ability to clear little bugs that you can easily take out with primary and secondsry You should be replacing the guard dog with the shield backpack, run with a railgun or arc thrower, and then 1 eagle and 1 orbital, such as 500kg + orbital laser, eagle airstrike or cluster bomb + orbital laser, or 500kg + the orbital precision one shot (i forget the actual name)

Kind of typical that they released the first balance changes immediately after this video came out :D Although, they don't seem too bad? Will need to test them for myself later. (Railgun should still be OK if you use it on unsafe, and the breaker is only worse for magdumping it in full auto. The shield still does all it used to, you just need to wait longer for it to recharge. And armor damage reduction should work now, so that may make things a little easier.) To quote the most relevant parts from patch notes, for reference: Breaker: Decreased magazine capacity from 16 to 13, increased recoil from 30 to 55 Railgun - Decreased armor penetration in Safe Mode, decreased damage against durable enemy parts Flamethrower: Increased damage per second by 50% Laser Cannon: Increased damage against durable enemy parts, increased armor penetration, improved ergonomics Punisher: Increased total ammo capacity from 40 to 60, increased stagger force, increased damage from 40 per bullet to 45 per bullet Breaker Spray & Pray: Increased armor penetration, increased fire rate from 300 to 330, increased number of pellets from 12 to 16 per shot, decreased magazine size from to 32 to 26 Energy Shield Backpack: Increased delay before recharging 380mm and 120mm Orbital Barrages: Increased duration of the bombardment, decreased spread Fixed armor rating values not reducing damage as intended.
So, from experience so far: - The Breaker nerf is kind of whatever. 3 less shots in the mag is slightly noticeable, but not the end of the world if you can aim at all. The recoil nerf is only palpable if you're trying to full-auto while moving, and even then, it's not uncontrollable. If you stand still, you can still dump a whole mag on target just fine. - The Punisher buff is pretty noticeable. It will now very reliably stagger enemies back on hit, and will more consistently one-shot-kill medium bugs on a good center mass hit. With the extra ammo, it feels like a viable alternative to the Breaker now - You're just trading reload speed and firing rate for better overall efficiency. - THE PUNISHER'S AMMO AND KNOCKBACK BUFFS ALSO APPLY TO THE SLUGGER! - The Breaker S&P is no longer a complete joke weapon. I wouldn't go so far as to call it good, but if you really miss unloading the Breaker in full auto, give it a try. - The Railgun nerf is actually pretty severe. It will now bounce off of a charger's leg plates AND a bot walker's frontal armor, even if fully charged on unsafe. The leg method still works if you shoot the charger in the _back_ of the leg, but it's harder to do. For walkers, you can blow off a leg instead. The railgun can still one-shot Hulks, but your aim needs to be pixel-perfect. Otherwise, it will ricochet off the front armor. - The Flamethrower buff is VERY noticeable. It will now kill a charger in less than one full tank, if you keep the stream on it the whole time (!). The fire effects that it leaves on the ground will reliably kill scavengers from full health if they try to walk over them. I don't have hard data on this, but I think the fire damage changes may also apply to other sources of fire, such as the napalm strike and incendiary grenades - They feel like they kill targets more consistently, if they stay in the fire. - The Laser Cannon is not irredeemable anymore - Can actually kill medium armored enemies reasonably quickly. Still bad against anything heavily armored though. - The Energy Shield Pack is still great. All the benefits are the same - You just have to be a bit more tactical with it and avoid damage for a moment in order to regenerate it. I could swear that they also stealth-buffed or fixed some of the explosion effects. The 500kg bomb, for example, now seems to have a better effective range. A hive guard (armored bug) will consistently keel over after one anti-materiel rifle shot to the face. Frag grenades still suck though. The armor values seem to operate on the principle that 100 Armor Rating = The experience we had so far, before these changes. So now, after the patch, you will die even faster than normal if you're wearing anything lighter. The added protection from heavy armor is barely worth it though, since you're still vulnerable to one-shots and stagger (Even in the absolute heaviest armor available, a spewer's spit attack will still instantly kill you, and a full combo from a hunter will leave you at half health). Plus, the lost movement speed and sprint efficiency from heavier armor hurts a lot - You will waste more time travelling, and it completely gimps your ability to dodge chargers and swarming hunters, or to get to cover against bots, or to perform sneaky flanks. So I do not see any reasonable upside to using heavy armor, ever. This really sucks, because I feel like it shifts the meta even more towards using the shield than before, since it makes up for light armor's bad protection. ALSO: They stealth-overhauled the Explosive Liberator. It is now the "Liberator Concussive", which "...fires concussive rounds which do less damage but stagger enemies". What this means in practice is that when you shoot enemies, as long as the hit counts (doesn't get deflected by armor), they go sliding backwards comically - It's like the Punisher's new knockback on steroids. Weird, but surprisingly useful against bugs - Will render even Stalkers a complete non-threat. Doesn't work on Chargers, sadly.
I use ur loadout and its fantastic only difference is the armour i still use light armour but use the chance not to die trait. Makes me feel nearly invincible lol

Because the meta is super diverse rn, and there are Soo many hard choices to pick from because there are tons of great weapons and strats to choose from, it's really hard to figure out what works best by playing a single match on helldive difficultly. 🙄
Damn near all weapons one shot the smaller enemies. The only thing you need to worried about is the big armoured enemies. The funniest thing in this video was “the rail gun will put most targets out of their misery in just one or two shots” as he puts nine shots into a titan to bring it down. Seems like he just made this video simply to get views because this is the flavour of the month game.
The titan nine shots to take down is because it’s considered a “boss” type unit in the game which usually requires players using stratagem bombardments rather then just using the railgun
Most games are flavor of the month. You can 2 shot the bile titan with a few weapons if you hit its weak spot. But sometimes you don't have time to line up the shot.
Say what you want but this player consistently clears the hardest level of this game. Yes if you have all day to line up and charge yourcrailgun maybe that is the best way to take out titans. But I can say on suicide mode with 4 people we get overwhelmed with 6 biles ata time and trying to change railgun is not feasible. Can't imagine helldive difficulty.
Citizen, there's no such thing as too much Eagle. Go out there and spread Democracy through Strafes, Clusters, Airstrikes and 500kgs. Kidding aside, I feel vulnerable without having both Airstrike and 500kg on my loadout because the two are so versatile in taking out hordes and objectives. Sometimes the director just won't let you approach a nest/outpost for a grenade takedown and an airstrike or two is my "fuck this shit, I have better things to do" button. ESPECIALLY for Rogue Stations that would otherwise had to be destroyed by manually calling in Hellbombs.
Spear is significantly better than Railgun imo. For one. Why you shooting on safe mode? Look at all that time you are taking for 1 bile titan. Unsafe mode, 1 to 2 shots to the face if you are going to use the railgun. Or use the spear and do it in 1 shot every time.
In my opinion, bots are harder on lower difficulties and bugs are harder on higher difficulties. When you have 6 Titans chasing you and multiple chargers and hundreds of smaller bugs, it can be extremely intense. Bots are also extremely difficult, but I personally find that after almost 90 hours of active service, in which I fought both enemies, the bugs challenged me the most. Change my mind

Had a bug where I couldn't use my weapons, stratagems, etc. Died and came back a-ok.
Isn't kinda meh going with 2 eagles? shouldn't be better for 1 eagle + 1 orbital?
How do I unlock boosters?
You unlock them with medals on the requisitions page
is this the first video with commentary? or have i just missed a few videos? keep it up anyways man!
Railgun suck! Absolutely suck i shoot titan 20 amo in head and it leave. This gun is bulshit
not actual already)))
