There are Pink Brown and Green squares in addition to the bigger one. The placement of these 3 squares creates some hidden squares. Most of the people don't get the correct answer. If you are genius with high IQ brain , try to find out all of them.

@@vladschiopu2885 The correct answer is 22 though. You can't really count most of them since overlapping makes them not squares anymore.
The reason why it is very hard to accurately count all the squares without missing any because the outlines of the squares had different colours (Take the last 2 as an example). If the diagram was drawn only with one colour, I bet that it will be much easier
A A, in the end, what’s the challenge of this whole quiz if all are of the same color? Colored squares push our limit to the next level🤓Just saying only😌

If you want to know the simple baseline number of squares in a grid of any size nxn you can use the series: squares = 1^2 + 2^2 + 3^2 +... n^2

I get 153 squares. I've counted the inner side of line, the line, and the outer side of line. They form squares too.

Honestly, I tried out myself and finally found them 40 squares. In fact, i couldn't find out more extinguished hidden squres till watching The Key!! Sooo Sad! Anyway, i was proud myself eventhough my answer was incorrect. 😥😄

for any grid size nxn the number of squares is the sum of: 1^2 + 2^2 + 3^2 + .. + n^2.
for grid size 4: 1^2 + 2^2 + 3^2 + 4^2 = 1 + 4 +9 + 16 = 30
