    Riddle #4 actually has three solutions. If you move the match going vertical from the plus sign and move it to the 6 to change it into an 8, then the problem will read as such: 8-4=4.

    • @stevepeacock7670
      @stevepeacock7670 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In fact there are four solutions. You can also move the vertical match from the plus sign and place it diagonally over the "equal" sign, so changing into a "not equal" sign. The resulting equation is 6-4 ≠ 4 ;-)

    In addition to Nick Zoa disagreement on #6. When thinking on riddles wording is very specific. There was only the mention of the soda being weighed. I saw an animation of bottled soda so I naturally assumed the bottles weighed something too so therefore the soda weighs more. Right? Wrong I guess! Lol might be deconstructing too much but it was a riddle after all.

    Question #6 has an incorrect answer. Gold is measured in the TROY measurement system in which there are 12 ounces in a pound. Therefore, 16 ounces of soda weigh more than a pound of gold.

    • @thomasharding1838
      @thomasharding1838 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are going to assume that the gold is in TROY ounces, then you must assume the soda would be in FLUID ounces. And since we don't know which cola it is, the density may be such that 16 FLUID ounces of it could weigh 12 TROY ounces.

    • @nickzoa7685
      @nickzoa7685 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You've made a good point and you're partly right. Fluid ounces are used to measure volume, not weight. Although 16 fluid ounces of water weighs 16 ounces, it's possible for 16 fluid ounces of a different liquid to weigh less. For example, 16 fluid ounces of pure alcohol (ethanol) weighs 12.6 ounces. 16 fluid ounces of some grades of gasoline weigh about 12 ounces. However, we're talking about soda here, which is mostly water. So, 16 *fluid* ounces of soda would weigh more than 12 *Troy* ounces of gold.

    Can you help me with this one:
    You've managed to break into the vault of a bank filled with 20 sacks of coins. One of the sacks contains gold coins, while the other 19 are filled with counterfeit gold coins. You cannot tell the difference between the gold coins and the fakes by handling the coins, looking at them, biting them, or testing them.
    The fake coins weigh exactly 1 ounce each, while the real gold coins weigh 1.01 ounces. There is a large scale with enough room for all the sacks in the vault, but as soon as you weigh something it will trigger an alarm, so you can use the scale just once before you must flee the vault.
    How can you figure out which sack of coins contains the real gold by only weighing something on the scale once?
    Note: The scale tells you the exact weight of whatever you put on it, it is not a balance scale.
    Hint: You might want to consider labelling the sacks. And remember, you can take coins out of the sacks and weigh a combination of
    them.

    #7 is weird, in the equation it says "the hoodies costs $100 than the pair of shoes" but the equation is not saying that the hoodies is more than $100 it is saying it is $100 more than the pair of shoes. It is worded very weird correct me if I'm wrong.😀

    • @thomasharding1838
      @thomasharding1838 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Where a is the cost of the hoodie and b = the cost of the shoes: a+b=150 a=b+100. Substituting b+100 for a in the first equations results in b+100+b=150 or 2b+100=150. Subtracting 100 from both sides results in 2b=50 and dividing both sides by 2 results in b=25. Now, back to the first equation replacing the b with 25 results in a+25=150 and now we subtract 25 from both side and the results is a = 125. But the BIG QUESTION is who would pay 125 DOLLARS for a hoodie?

    In the 9th question the question says that you can not use a nickel but in the answer they said the answer is a Nickel and a Quarter but the real answer is a twenty cent piece and a dime.

      You misread it. It says "One of them is NOT a nickle!" It does not say the other one can't be.
