Dany is playing a custom Fender baritone guitar, with a longer neck, more space between frets, which let's her use much thicker string, so the guitar is in drop A and so is Ale's bass.
Yup. She's usually playing a PRS. Fender is trying to grab them.
One of the very rare bands that often sound even better live than in the studio, The Warning!
They are amazing. Found them almost a year ago. I'm addicted to their sound, song writing, stage performace, and just being all around nice people.
Dropping down to hell (A) and going up and down that thick string ... that's the sound. Until the bass kicks in, the intro could easily be mistaken for a bass part with a lot of fuzz. When Ale does come in, you know you're in trouble. They know how to pull this off without creating a wall of mud and random noises. Beautiful.
killer song in a KILLER album...can i just say how POWERFUL Ale's bass lines are, and her note choices in her solo? not expected and then she uses the bass to ramp up the energy!! freekin' awesome..
As you get to know The Warning more you discover that they have several styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!!
And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very own opinion that with its structure, its cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings…
All of this is masterful.
The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication.
There could always be other options, but the ones they chose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art.
Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvement and with the feeling, sensitivity and passion of their blood, race and culture.
Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor.
It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits.
They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time.
This is the youngest veteran band in the rock world.
Without forgetting that there are only three of them, yes, but three true geniuses in their field.
Melodically they are the best, without a doubt.
They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the key changes, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime voices, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages.
And this happens song after song… INCREDIBLE!!

the only disappointing thing about a The Warning song, is that it ends. their song writing and performance abilities always leave you wanting MORE. the only thing better than The warning as a group is how great they are as human beings.

I don't have a baritone guitar, could this be played on a regular tuning guitar?
I can't even do drop B on .10's
I haven’t looked into it yet but my instinct is yes
But it's not just 3 musicians? It's not Like the Cream, GFRR , The Experience , Double Trouble (AkA these were all power Trios originally ). It's Just question . I love the music , The song writing and melody are excellent. But they sound the same live as with these studio versions.
You were asking for more The Warning tracks in your HYCAD review. At some point in time, every reviewer has to go back to what started it all. Ten years ago, when they were 14, 12 and 9 (the tall one now), they were playing around at doing cover songs. Their dad was recording them and trying to email to family but the files got too big. So he created a TH-cam channel to post them on for the family to see. They decided to do a cover of Enter Sandman, dad put it on TH-cam. Family went away for a while, came back and found out it had gone viral!

A week ago, I would have next recommended their excellent performance of the song from their live Teatro Metropolitan concert, almost 2 years ago…. But, they will any day be releasing their version from their 10th anniversary performance at the Pepsi Centre in Mexico City, last December. They play their version of Enter Sandman with a string ensemble - it is next level!!! Hold your hat!!

I love this song, but I don't like how VEVO mixed it. The bass and guitars were way too soft.
The nut-strumming? was way down in it.
I also noticed what sounds like the squeaks from the bass pedal in the mix, when it's just Ale and Pau during the bass "solo". I wonder if it was intentional. I liked their synchronized head flip right after tho! 😂
