Thanks for that "flasher" memory from my younger days. I did replace a few of those on the family cars. Cars were so much simpler to fix and only needing a SAE set of tools.
Just curious. If you didn't want to deal with the difficult amplifier removal, would there have been a way to just unplug the defective one and replug it into the new/used amplifier and mount it elsewhere in the footwell? This whole process seems to be held hostage solely by the amplifier location.
@@hrdiesel I figured that's probably but had to ask - I'd hoped maybe some clever person would have made a bypass or extension kit. Looks like I need to visit my local radio shop for advice as I will not mess with this stupid OEM amplifier defect/location issue.
Same issue on my 2015 GMC Acadia will look to buy a used one and see if my local mechanic would feel comfortable vs taking it to overpriced dealership thank you.
Thanks for the video. The information on the turn signals is good because it helps pinpoint what I need to do also. I have the exact same problem on an Acadia 2010. Thanks again 💯
I have Acadia 2011 and the exact same problem since I bought it and the amplifier in my country so expensive , so when you change, the amplifier system is good or no ?
My 2010 silverado 1500 just started doing this last week. On cold mornings I get no radio sound and blinker sounds. Usually after 5 minutes the audio turns on. So mine may be on the way to going out. It works fine all the rest of the day but every cold morning it take about 5 minutes before sound starts working.
Great video: What would cause this problem of No turn signal noise and No radio sound?...would connecting battery cables incorrectly cause this? Or thats not possible?
Usually, that’s not the case. Not saying it couldn’t cause that, but the majority of the time I see these amps go bad when people are driving down the road. Just had one go bad for a customer that was driving down the interstate and it suddenly popped and that was it.
Thanks for the amazing info. I am having the same issue with my father-in-law’s 2015 Acadia. He just passed away and now I need to sell his car but no sound from the speakers!
I wonder if this is a similar situation with my 2007 Monte Carlo - my front speakers quite working and while my turn signals work there’s no turn signal noise.
My radio and blinker noise goes out when I first start my truck then like 25 minutes down the road it comes on? it seems like it needs to warm up but Idk how this makes sense. I do know that only 2 speakers work in my 2007 silverado 1500 nnbs but the blinkers seem to come out of the dash im not sure
Hi, inown a buick enclave 2010 and when i startup the bell soind like submarine 🤣 my question is the amplifier control the bell or its independent? Everything works just that sound bother me😅
Just fixed this problem So to fix it easy water is getting in the wiring in the doors and running in the car causing the amplifier to intermittently work on and off some days mine was off for trap weeks before it pissed me off amplifier under dash driver side next to bcm
This is exactly what I need done but gosh so expensive to fix even with used part…. The labor is what will take the most $$. Deciding to live without I suppose.
I see you pay for that info. Maybe you can help me still. Is X1 X2 and X3 from left to right? I have the same Bose amp. Bought a used one. Same problem. I never checked mute voltage. So I will try that. And the speaker trick was cool.
A CHEVROLET DEALER replced my AMP & charged $2000, The radio still does NOT work...They have had my car about 3 weeks & saying it is a bad Antenna....Still no Radio...very pissed

I agree! Now everything is mostly metric and requires a computer to diagnose!
Thanks! My radio just went out as well as the blinker noise, so now I know what needs to be replaced.
I’m glad this video was helpful for you!!

The biggest problem was the wiring wasn’t long enough to allow for mounting it in a different spot. I did attempt that but unfortunately failed.

I have the same exact problem. Your video has been very helpful. Thank you 👍
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it!

Thanks bro you have a great diy video here💯
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback I sure appreciate it! This is why I make those videos!

Gotta love them snap on scanners freezing up. I haven’t bought snap on in years
Yep gets right under my skin

Sorry for your loss! Glad this video could help you out!!
@@hrdiesel what kind of shop should I take the car to in order to have the speakers fixed?
Where did you order your used amplifier
Thorold Auto Parts and Recycling
1108 Beaverdams Rd, Thorold, ON L2V 3Y7
I wonder if this is a similar situation with my 2007 Monte Carlo - my front speakers quite working and while my turn signals work there’s no turn signal noise.
Very well could be!

You might be having a speaker problem or amplifier problem. Most of the vehicles after 2000 use the speakers to imitate the turn signal noise
Thank you gonna try this later on :)
Hi, inown a buick enclave 2010 and when i startup the bell soind like submarine 🤣 my question is the amplifier control the bell or its independent? Everything works just that sound bother me😅
Yep, it is all through that amplifier
Where did you get the instructions you were referencing?
I pay several hundred dollars a month to get access to service manuals and repair procedures on Identifix.
Where can I find the diagrams like you’re using
I subscribe to Identifix. It costs me several hundred dollars a month but then I have access to all makes and models.
Just fixed this problem So to fix it easy water is getting in the wiring in the doors and running in the car causing the amplifier to intermittently work on and off some days mine was off for trap weeks before it pissed me off amplifier under dash driver side next to bcm
Also the wires. Was running the metal bracket by firewall as well
Where do you get the schematic for the Bose amp. X1 X2 X3
is the amp in the radio?
Before I try this, is there any relay that can be checked?
I am uncertain without looking at a diagram but I believe it’s all fuses. Make sure none of those are blown
Nice video
it's 2 issues.. Sunroof drain on the drivers side is dripping on the Amp due to poor design. . Water in the door connectors after a heavy rain.
Thank you

It’s way more expensive than it should be!
I’m having this issue.

It depends on which way you hold the module but that is how they are per usual.
I have a 2014 with the same exact radio turn signal problem.
Thanks
Same problem with my traverse. Radio turns on just no sound, no blinker sound or any other found.
You’re probably looking at the same issue
Same on my 2011 traverse
A CHEVROLET DEALER replced my AMP & charged $2000, The radio still does NOT work...They have had my car about 3 weeks & saying it is a bad Antenna....Still no Radio...very pissed
Oof! I don’t blame you
Dealership cost to repair… 1600.00 they said it was the amplifier.
I am not surprised. Those amplifiers new are terribly expensive. Plus the dealer likes to charge an arm and leg for labor too. lol
