I can't afford a cabin in the woods I inherited. I was thinking of a high quality tent to leave up year round.

That's what I'd personally do but I guess some people like soft shelled structures that use stakes instead of wheels
Nothing better than a star gazing canvas tent to watch the stars though
The majority of these tents will not fit on a standard state park campsite.
