+Wavy Max lmao Same here. Just thought of this game for the first time since probably whenever I last played it on one of those demo discs. I don't think I ever even knew what I was supposed to be doing exactly, but now that I'm older and wont be too busy being creeped out, I need to play this again.
@austin wilson that sounds about right. I just remember having a demo disc with metal gear on it that I played the hell out of lol. Funny thing I was looking through the ps5 store yesterday and this game is actually on it. I'm gonna have to get it
I submitted my high score for this game to Twin Galaxies back in 2008 of 1,244,800 and nobody has since tried to beat it. I was kinda hoping they would, but the game is so rare. But anyway, I Googled myself a couple of years ago and found out they put my high score in the Guinness Book of World Records Gamer's Edition in 2011.
Please please please watch this, I bet this guy did beat you. watch?v=iqKpCM9wN8s He has like 1700000 before he entered the Tektonics stages.... simply wow!
I was just wondering why there's music in all the clips on TH-cam, my demo and my full game have no music, I have the original game, did they add the music on the PSN version or something?
That’s how I first tried it. Then rented it from blockbuster with a membership card I stole from a kids locker in PE class when I was a freshman and never returned it.
this was my introduction to video games in 97-98. My first bff's brother had a ps1 with the demo on it. one of my faves on that demo, besides the Star Wars fighting game.
I played this game because it came with my playstation 1 mini, it took me hours to understand exactly what I had to do and still I think I still don't fully understand it.
I had to look up this game again as randomly thought of it the other day. Me and my brother used to play the demo all the time. I absolutely loved this game. So funny to see people all having the same thoughts on it - the lack of music, dramatic sound effects, echo, and the terrible squishing of the little man all made the game so anxiety filled, but it was so good to play. I used to be anxious the entire time
Which was creepier? This game or Soul Reaver demo which was on the same disc. I loved them both but sadly never came around to purchasing the full games.
For all intents and purposes, this game only existed on that legendary demo disc...it was next to impossible to find in stores. Electronics Boutique has like 2 copies for a week or so, but disappeared quickly
I remember the first time I played this was on the PlayStation Jampack demo cd. The demos on that Jampack cd included Nightmare Creatures, Fighter Force, Tomb Raider, Need for Speed, and other games I can’t remember. Ahh! The memories of my childhood.
when we were little, the idea of being crushed bye a block was pretty scary. running away while trying to figure the puzzle out is also. the guy you no is going to yell puuurfect yelling outta no where when you finish is as well. I definitely placed myself in that guys shoes figuring how to get out of his nightmare. we definitely need a remake
I absolutely loved this game when it was released. I remember it saying in a magazine review that they didn't know how the protagonist got to be in his situation but he might be a prisoner in the far future, that alone sold the game to me 👍
I always saw it as a man having reoccurring nightmares about these cubes which stem from his declining mental health. Capturing cubes is an allegory to overcoming mental block and sorting out his emotions in a healthy way.
I played the demo to death, but it was out-of-print so quickly. I would love it if Sony would release this on the PS Store under PS One Classics; if not a brand-new HD remake

Absolutely! I stayed up every night and sat in front of the TV all day playing this game. I was obsessed, as well. I love this game! A few years ago, I searched for it on EBay and only one person had it and they were selling it at such a high price... but trust me, if I had the money to buy it, I would have. I miss this game... and those days...
For some reason this game always scared me when I played the demo
***** me too, it's creepy as fk.
+Wavy Max lmao Same here. Just thought of this game for the first time since probably whenever I last played it on one of those demo discs. I don't think I ever even knew what I was supposed to be doing exactly, but now that I'm older and wont be too busy being creeped out, I need to play this again.
+Wavy Max 90's kids confirmed...I could never figure out what I needed to do on that demo.
+Wavy Max I'm so glad I'm not alone. It's awesome I'm not the only one who shared this childhood of playing that same demo with me.
+Wavy Max it was the lack of music
This demo disc was legendary. We played it so much.
I got this demo from Pizza Hur
didnt it have metal gear solid on it as well
@dusty13b49 mine had this a star wars fighting game some racing game parrapa the rapper and armored core
@austin wilson that sounds about right. I just remember having a demo disc with metal gear on it that I played the hell out of lol. Funny thing I was looking through the ps5 store yesterday and this game is actually on it. I'm gonna have to get it
@@dusty13b It did. I just recently bought the Intelicube game from a nostalgia game store... The best! Now I gotta get MGSII.

I have been looking for this game for years. One of the best puzzle games ever IMO. I'll buy a PS1 again just to be able to have and play this game.

I still have my ps1 somewhere or I think I sold it but luckily my ps2 plays my ps1 games :)
Strength Beyond Thats what I did, I bought the console just for this game, after I looked high and low for it!
I still have my copy of this. :) Check eBay. Should be plenty on there.
I miss this game so much. So nostalgic.
Perrrrrrrrrrr fect.
This game got a lot creepier when the music is removed.
I was just wondering why there's music in all the clips on TH-cam, my demo and my full game have no music, I have the original game, did they add the music on the PSN version or something?
+Charley Wise because Kurushi didnt have music, but intelligent qube does. -maybe, or maybe im wrong.
+Charley Wise Apparently, the retail version should have music
Not really, its just a puzzle game.
Ok that's why it didn't register when I watched this. I always had the music off.
By far one of the best puzzle games ever made. Please remake it.
The demo disc man, Getting my first PS1 and these graphics blowing my mind.
This game. This games right here. Is. PERFECT!
I remember playing a demo disc with this on it.
same here I wore the demo disc out .
there was another game with this CD. About an Ape trying to escape. Do you know the name of the game?
th-cam.com/video/yyLU1BCUfAw/w-d-xo.html right here the demo disc
JOLY JOLY Ape Escape
does anybody remember playing this on a ps1 demo disc? I remember it looking so advanced for its time 😂
Jordan Thompson that's how first played the game. Loved it so much i had to find a copy. :)
That’s how I first tried it. Then rented it from blockbuster with a membership card I stole from a kids locker in PE class when I was a freshman and never returned it.
Yes dude!!
One of the most underrated game on PS 1 ever I absolutely love the soundtrack for this game
It took me a while to fully understand this game's features :D One of the best PS1 games of all times.
why?you were stupid or what?
@@juanbadilla295 watch out guys we got a badass over here
I loved this game 2
This game always stuck out in my mind as being unnerving, must of been 9 or 10 playing the demo to this and never forgot it.
this was my introduction to video games in 97-98. My first bff's brother had a ps1 with the demo on it. one of my faves on that demo, besides the Star Wars fighting game.
I played the demo, couldn’t get into it because my mind was already blown by Tomb raider and crash. Those moments of bliss, I can still feel it.
I recall this game like it was yesterday. Makes me think of the days of the "demo discs" great times!
Man, I miss this game. Was also one of the few games my dad liked to try.
this game was referenced in the new ratchet and clank game.
I just realized this game is the reason I love puzzle games now.
I played this game because it came with my playstation 1 mini, it took me hours to understand exactly what I had to do and still I think I still don't fully understand it.
Never understood what I was even trying to achieve in this game or how to do it.
21 years later, still nothing.
one of my favorite games of all time.......so addicting it makes you feel like youve just become strung out on a game lol
I LOVED this game!! Today's generation will never know the euphoric satisfaction of critical thinking games.
Right ? :)
This brings back a flood of memories, when I first got a PS1 had this as a demo and full game of Time Crisis. Good times, beautiful times.
This is my favorite PSX game ever. I would play this for hours.
It is quite addicting ::)
Just purchased it for PS5. BRiNGs BACK so much brain MEMORY 😂😂😂 and YES I still have the black/orange demo disc w cool borders n tomb raider lol

thanks now i finally know what to do in this game, now if i could go back to 1999
Just buy a PlayStation mini system off Amazon. It comes pre installed 😊
Nothing was more nerv racking then that chopping of the small wall. And I miss this game even tho it was only demo veriosn.
I used to love this game
this game is due for a remake
Agreed !
forget the remake ill take the port to ps4
Is the music actually used in the game, or did you just add it in there through use of video editing software?
GuitarWolf1991 its in the game. I didn't edit the video at all. I just captured and uploaded.
Darn. Is there a way to turn off the music in the game?
I loved this game when I was a kid. It made me really think about what I was doing.
Lol,
When i was younger this scared the crap out of me and today my dad was trying to find this game
1:01 Every time I select “1 Player”, that ominous gong and low humming ALWAYS give me shivers!
the first stage BGM makes me wonder if its part of a starwars movie xD
Really, never thought that 😆
pure nostalgia
Imagine dying then getting trapped in an endless game of intelligent cube
This needs to be a battle stage on Playstation Allstars Battle Royale.
I only had the demo but I want it soooo much again. I remember all the fun this game is
This music reminds me of birds and trains for some reason
What the hell are you saying????!!!!
Uh oh he didn't get the reference
Without the context, this reference sounds like you’re just trying to be random
I used to play the demo a ton lmao
Which was creepier? This game or Soul Reaver demo which was on the same disc. I loved them both but sadly never came around to purchasing the full games.
omg bring my childhood back
Thanks for the upload! This was one of my favourite games back when I had a PlayStation.
This is such an awesome game! I wish it were available on Steam!
This is nostalgic, especially the stage opening sound
For all intents and purposes, this game only existed on that legendary demo disc...it was next to impossible to find in stores. Electronics Boutique has like 2 copies for a week or so, but disappeared quickly

Why do I have a faint distant memory of me playing the demo of this game when I was a kid..... holy shit.
I only played the demo of this when I was a kid. I also love the snowmobile demo
This game got hard as hell I loved it I think this was the first PlayStation game I had
I only used to play this on demo and it always pissed me off.

That soundtrack!!! 😍🤌
Coming out on the PS1 classic. Perrrrfect!
My sister and I used to spend hours playing this when we were younger.
I had the demo. I loved it. Look how advanced games are now, sheesh
Yeah, its the original score from the game. The music is pretty good :)
This game and graphics were ahead of it's time. Eventually it became hard to find
