- Our motorcycle is failing. Sometimes the Bajaj Pulsar 220 doesn’t start, the center stand scrapes against the ground, the kickstand is zip-tied up because it rubs against the chain… Even a fairing fell off once.
But we made it to Pontianak! We made it all the way from Jakarta to our final destination in Indonesia before we’d have to leave the motorcycle and take a bus into East Malaysia. So, this was a perfect opportunity to bring the bike to a mechanic.
Unfortunately, when we get there, they have some bad news for us. And then we have a particularly scary ride around the block.

I followed from the first journey on Indonesia with Dorco bajaj pulsar 250, I wonder how choice this bike for long journey and can't imagine dorco can stand so far, as we know bajaj is not popular here and underrated compare to Japan and western motorcycle, i prefer choice japanese bike ,for comfort on journey, but this proved that you are trully bikers with lots of experiences.. .proud of you.., Never give up.. I think the trade-in value of Dorco is the equivalent of a couple of apples! 🤣 It just has to last a few more months once we return to Kalimantan and Java!
So I am finding myself somehow becoming affectionately attached to Dorco! If I were you I would seriously think about making up some humorous Tshirt with Dorco as the focal point! :) I'd buy one for sure!
