Had mine since jan. Brilliant. Sold tracer 700. Don't miss gears. Cvt is instant. Can be ridden with gusto, great handling, fast enough. I cut the screen down and adds a horizontal wind deflector to cure buffeting, but I'm like that with every bike with a screen. Also use seat pad for extra height and comfort. The rear brake lever has 2 microswitches in it, the first clock is the brake light and the second is the one that allows it to start. Pull slowly and listen carefully and you'll hear the 2 clicks.
Dear David, I am also curious about the seat pad, that you use to level the seat. Do you have a link, or could I get you to explain what it is/how it works? Cheers ;-)
That lever pull caught me out on my 2021 SH350i. Once I'd discovered the knack - no problem since. And what a smooth, vibe-free, cosseting little motor this is.
Fantastic video thanks, love the adv350 will get one when I pass my test, the starting problem is the same on the pcx 125 caught me out a couple of times.
Thanks for your review. I travelled most of Ireland on a 50cc, cos my brain doesn't work well haha. Looking at bikes all the time before I buy a better one. I'm settling on the adv 350. I need camping gear, camera equipment etc and I need to combine long trips with lots of daily on/off for my work, not delivery, but like that,
Oh my god I love these country rides with no music. These videos are great man!! Your little starting problem also bit me on my old Reflex when I first bought it. Honda has used that same brake lever switch for years. Learning curves can be a pain sometimes. Later man, gotta go for a scooter ride!!😁
I had a similar time with not starting on my sh300i. Felt so wrong initially to swing on the brake lever to that extent. Never had a problem again. Undoing seat lock to fuel up was another issue. Had me tearing my hair out until the penny dropped that the manufactures instructions aren't exactly correct. Great little thing though after a lifetime of motorcycles.
Mines been brilliant since I found out how to start it properly, I still can't fault it ,ride it most days ,they're so much more practical over a motorbike. Thanks for watching 👍
Oh I forgot to reply. I ordered the adv 350 after I had the test ride. I've not riden for some time but the bike was great. I'm expecting delivery in mid Oct.
I got the red adv 350 today. Like you say, it's quite a big bike. And yes, I was told that the bike won't start with the side stand down, and you have to pull the rear brake leaver in to start it. It's a good looking bike.

Excellent review of your new bike. I've subscribed. I really like these, was considering the new x-adv but at £11k they're too much money. For almost half you get one of these. Seems like a bargain!
I got my Gray ADV last Tuesday.. only done 93 miles but very happy with it ...in fact love it!!! I couldn't start mine on the first day it arrived until I pulled brake lever in really hard!!
I only have 5 miles each way to work but I find I'm going out much more on this adv than I was on my burgman. I also have a KTM1190adv which isn't getting much use lately 🤔
I'm glad it was not just me who had the starting issue, my first ride over 3 months ago was in heavy rain so i gave the bike a good jet wash and then could not start it! I dried the side stand switch and removed / checked all the fuses as per the user manual - nothing bike still dead, then in frustration i really grabbed the brake lever and hey presto the bike started. I mentioned this to the dealership and they confirmed that this is normal. Oh well, live and learn. What a great bike this is, hope you have many happy miles on yours. Oh by the way i have just had a 2 up fully loaded (inc top box) holiday and tried 99RON super unleaded, my initial thoughts are that the MPG and performance are better, might be worth experimenting if you have not already. I had starting issues in 2020, 2021 and 2022 on 3 new scooters. I reported them to honda. Nothing has been done, you just have to change the key battery every month and carry a spare battery or you could be stranded. I wish they had key start backup. The key symbol flashes when it fails to read, very dangerous to switch of at traffic lights because they don't always start again.

@@Crohniebiker With regards the starting issue. If you listen carefully when you pull the back brake lever it clicks once for the brake light switch then if you pull it further clicks again for the starter safety switch.

You see, I am interest in sh 350/150 out I need little bit more legroom and was also considering sucha solution. Do you have and experience from seat modifications on scooter?
On my burgman I had no legroom so I removed the seat cover and built it up with foam to make it flat so I could sit further back .but on the ADV I have enough legroom already. Thanks for watching.
Great video 👍I’m thinking of getting one, but didn’t realise there was such a long waiting time 👎 I’ve also got a Burgman 400 2008 and thought it was time to give Honda a go ….not sure I can wait until next year 🙁 Just subscribed to your channel, keep the videos coming. Thanks
Hi, liked the review, but can’t help noticing that you seem to be a bit hard on a new engine that needs to run in a bit to free-up and develop its full potential. Coming from a very long history of motor biking, I have a new Forza 350, bought as a stop gap while waiting for my order of an ADV 350 to arrive. Despite being led to believe that the glove box is not lockable by other reviews and the dealer, I found that it does lock when you lock the steering - not a lot of people know that. I wonder if the ADV is the same ? Please try it and let me know. I drilled the side of the glove box and led a power lead from the USBc socket to the satnav on the bars. Loving the Forza (except the crashy suspension), and am looking forward to the ADV arriving. Cheers 👍
Thanks for watching my glovebox doesn't lock on this model unfortunately,, I have also wondered about the " running in " period and after lots of research I'm of the opinion that engine's these days are built with such accuracy and quality materials that it's not really necessary .in fact I've watched a video disproving it where they take two brand new engine's ,one is run in to spec and the othe is thrashed from new and after 1000 miles they rear down and inspect them side by side and find no difference. But having said that I do intend to do oil and filter every 4k instead of hondas 8k 👍
@TheDervMan I'm sure I've seen a video from someone comparing the 350 to the 750 and he said the 350 was nearly almost as fast but a lot more nimble so he concluded that the 350 was the better and much cheaper option, 👍
I would say yes definitely, but bear in mind that it's a 350 not a superbike. However you can easily get away from the lights faster than the average car and it will happily sit at 70 80 mph. I once had 95mph displayed on my dash.
The keyless has been faultless since I've got used to it ,it's actually more convenient not having to fumble for a key to fuel up . Thanks for watching 👍
You need to weigh at least 13 stone and be at least 6’1 because the FRONT of the seat is so wide . Suzuki Bergman much better fit if you are under 6’1 ish and 35 “ inside leg. You won’t be doing much filtering. It’s a great fat fecker

Thanks Crohnie Biker, pity, about the glove box, Honda do odd things sometimes. Why the difference ?😳
@@Crohniebiker honda say to not thrash it ,just ride normally .i never go much over sixty.
Loved my Burgman 650, I've got an ADV on order.. Enjoy 😊
Can we have a follow up video please? 🤞🏻
Yes I have been thinking about doing a follow up video, just waiting for some better weather 👍
@@Crohniebiker I'm a little torn between the 350 and ADV 750 so keen to hear your thoughts on the 350 after almost a year of ownership 🙂
@TheDervMan I'm sure I've seen a video from someone comparing the 350 to the 750 and he said the 350 was nearly almost as fast but a lot more nimble so he concluded that the 350 was the better and much cheaper option, 👍
@@Crohniebiker Oh wow, now that is interesting.
I've got the 150. Live in the USA. I REALLY want one of these.
We don't get the 150 here in the UK but the 350 is awesome, thanks for watching.
Did consider buying the X ADV but it’s so expensive put a deposit on this instead can’t wait 👍
Do you feel that it is powerful enough?
I would say yes definitely, but bear in mind that it's a 350 not a superbike. However you can easily get away from the lights faster than the average car and it will happily sit at 70 80 mph.
I once had 95mph displayed on my dash.
So, do we have to figure out you ordered it without a testride? Do you earn your money too easy, or what?
I am curious... Have you tried the Piaggio Beverly 350? How does the Honda ADV 350 compare to the Piaggio Beverly 350? :-)
No I haven't tried the beverly 350 but I would love to try one apparently they're very good .
Top video I want one.
The spluttering was reaction control
You do not see testers on TH-cam taking it easy because they are riding demo bikes, not their own bike.
That what worries me why not keep bikes with a proper key thats why i wont buy a keyless
Yes I agree with you, I had the burgman 400 before but that felt too small for me ,this ADV fits me perfectly. Thanks for watching 👍
Lovely bike, enjoy the rides 👍
Nice vid, you planning on some more videos of this bike? I note you have been a tad Q for the last few years 😉
Thanks for watching, yes I think I might be doing some more videos soon
No, Burgman 400 will not be faster 🙂 It's way heavier.
I have mine since March.
PLEASE bring this to AMERICA!!!
What scooters do you guys have over there?
@@googleprofile6660they tend to have bigger ones to cover the long distances
Full throttle on brand new engine - that’s hurting me! 😂
