Thanx for the great video. I've only ever used Hyper-V for Linux testing but have found it lacking compared to Oracle VM VirtualBox . The biggest problem with Hyper-V and Linux is that a lot of distros won't go full screen unless you get in and edit Grub and then not always successful and you stay at 4x3 . Have never gotten Win 11 installed on Hyper-V as my desktop does not have the "Win 11 required hardware"
Nice one Brian so much easier than trying to set up a virtual machine by other softwares. Three things are what about activation if you set this up for Windows and just how do you switch from the machine as is and the Hyper V one?? If I want to run say Linux Mint will this cause any conflicts between the two different OS's. As an afterthought how do you remove the Hyper V machine if you need or want to?

That is correct. Home version of Windows is useless. It's pretty cheap to upgrade to the pro version and gives you much more control of the computer operating system
How can I enable autologon (automatically logging in) on Win11 in Hyper-V? Does it support the feature? While netplwiz method works on my normal machine bcz I disabled Windows Hello, it is not working for Hyper-V machine, bcz Windows Hello checkmark isn't there to disable (maybe bcz I use local account)?
Thank you Brian. In Windows 11, there's an update for Notepad to v11, which can be turned into dark mode. It doesn't seem to automatically update. And the update process is kind'a complicated. Have you tried it? and do you have a much easier way to install Windows' Notepad v11 easier? Thanks in advance. ^^

On the screen where I should be prompted for a login everything shows - except the prompt to log in. I can shut down, etc. on that screen at the bottom, but no lo in appears. Does it take a lot of time? Did I miss a setting? Thanks.

A dialog box says "Press any key to continue". I have a bluetooth keyboard - no keys work to continue Windows 11 install. Is this a Virtual Machine issue?
Britec my screen keeps flicking or goes completely blank anytime I enable Hyper-V on Hp Pavillion i7 intel 10th Gen Laptop. the laptop has intel Iris Plus graphics
@@Britec09 the setup works fine for sometime and then goes into the problem. I tried another similar model, this time with NVIDIA graphics and the problem persists.
After further search i Found out that certain windows updates are responsible for the screen flickering. I disbale windows update and uninstall the specfic updates i.e (KB5018427 and KB5017271) for windows 11 22H2 and the system works very fine
@@Britec09 Mostly computers that people purchase with preloaded Windows come with the Home Edition. Then you need to pay extra to upgrade to windows Pro. In this case, it's better to use Virtual Box since its free.

I use VMware myself but if you prefer virtualBox then use that one wherever You're comfortable with

4:03 The minimum drive space is 96Gb, if you use 64Gb then won't be enough to install virtual windows.

If you're running Windows 10 and you install Hyper-V with Windows 11. This will not conflict. This is what hyper-V is designed for

I prefer Virtual PC as it is not a microsoft app!!! Still good for free!!

Your system can't handle hyper-V or you've not set it up right? It should not be going black screen. Check your settings
