I came here because I heard maritime scientists say the brain of octopus is wrapped around their oesophagus. I stayed for the excellent visualization and explanation. I imagine this channel is a Goldmine for med students preparing for exams :D but also great for lay people like me. Much appreciated!
Spotted the endoscopic image courtesy of my legendary professor of Medicine M Inayatullah Khan. An absolute GOAT. May God bless him and preserve him for us ❤️❤️❤️ Proud to he his student.
Yes. The lower 1/3 is smooth muscle, while the upper 2/3 is striated muscle. But the mucosa is the same stratified squamous epithelium until the GE junction
sir i saw mitral stenosis and regurgitation and aortic stenosis and regurgitation videos, its amazing really, and i search tricuspid stenosis and regurgitation videos, but there is no videos about this topic(tricuspid). so please i hope you, you will upload tricuspid stenosis and tricuspid regurgitation videos....thank you... :) :) :)
Isnt the sternum supposed to be in front and vertebra at the back in the diagram 6:37 😅 im confused, or maybe the CT is taken in prone position, just not used to it 🤣😅
Incredible. Human body is a machine. A biological machine, but a machine nevertheless. You better keep it in good working condition by properly maintaining it. Engineering degree is not so different from Medicine degree at the macro scale, its like pumps, exchangers, plumbing, but of course a biological machine is sooo much, so much more complex when you go into it...too complex. A big applaud to bio & medical students!
Hi! I have a question about your selling notes. I buy your notes' photos on your Web, but I didn't receive the email about what i buy. So, what can I do?
Food getting lodged and having to be regurgitated in a regular basis as it won’t go down..drinking water doesn’t help as water just comes back up.. any ideas??
Thank you for the video. I am wondering at what you said about the lower third of oesophagus. I thought the outermost layer was visceral peritoneum of which you made no mention. Also, you mentioned the thoracic artery as the one supplying the middle of oesophagus. First, it is not clear which thoracic artery you had in mind. Second, my medical books actually claim the oesophageal branches of throacic aorta as the ones which supply this part of the oesophagus. I hope you will read this and address the aforementioned doubts. Once again, thanks for a good video!
🎥 DON'T JUST WATCH, LEARN ACTIVELY! TRY THE QUIZ! 🤓

I thought the lower 1/3rd of esophagus is stratified squamous and becomes columnar only in Barrett’s esophagus.

U made a mistake.kindly correct it.at 11:53-lower part of esophagus is also lined by STATIFIED SQUAMOUS EPITHELIUM.
