The True Deceiver was so good! Short but definitely powerful and great for a wintery vibe - I read it last December at my parent's house when we were snowed in and the vibes were 👌

Thank you for tagging me ❤️ it was fun to do!! The True Deceiver cover is lovely, I’m looking forward to reading it! Now if I can just finish my latest chonker lol but getting close! So excited for everyone’s end of year faves - almost there!!!
I’m from Finland, the home country of Tove Jansson and just a tip is that by many Finland is not considered a Scandinavian country because it is not fully located on the Scandinavian peninsula (neither is Denmark though), and the majority language Finnish is not part of the Scandinavian language group. I personally consider at least parts of Finland culturally Scandinavian, as I come from the south coast were Swedish is largely spoken, but some people in Finland I’ve noticed really take offence if you refer to Finland as a Scandinavian country. So if you wish to avoid any misunderstanding or feather-ruffling then it is better to refer to Finland as a Nordic country. Also, the J in Jansson is pronounced more like the letter Y in English, so it’s a soft sound and not a harsh J sound 😊
Thank you thank you thank you for this kind and generous tip ❤️ I did not realize Finland was not considered Scandinavian but now that I know, I will refer to it as a Nordic country to be more respectful! And thank you for the tip about the J pronouncement :) I recently watched a video about Jansson and heard the correct pronouncement so I’ll be better next time I speak of her ❤️ again, this is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
