this was such a lovely vlog! i'm loving your writing journey and really need to incorporate the discipline of writing every day! ur the tru inspo!!! also loved your notes on Rivermouth! need to pick it up!!!
Congrats on writing something every day!
Writing everyday for a month is amazing! That’s an amazing accomplishment!
I LOVE this video!!!
The only problem with watching other book tuber channels is that it increases the tbr. So many books and so little time.
@@ReadingIDEAS.-uz9xk ah yes, this is the struggle! Sorry and you’re welcome if I managed to add some more books to your tbr!
awww i love jefferson market library - have actually never gone inside, but i love to hang out in the little garden next to it! beautiful shots of the city and beyond 🖤
@@bibliosophie it’s a very beautiful library and well loved, always filled with people! The little garden is so so lovely. Thanks for watching :)
Congratulations on getting married! You're truly glowing. That Shirley Jackson sounds so good! And can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Edward Carey.
@@seesararead thank you!!! I’m in the midst of the Jackson and Edward Carey is up next!
Congrats on your wonderful recent life changes - you look absolutely radiant with happiness ❤ hm if i were in nyc this fall the first thing id wanna check out is that book bar, wander around finding random little parks to sit in and read some more, and take in all that glorious new england fall foliage 🍂
Awww thank you!! Oooo the book bar! Yes, that is a wonderful recommendation. You better believe I'm taking advantage of the parks for that fall foliage! Nothing better :)
that intro was so dreamy and peaceful!! sorry if this is rly dramatic for a comment at 9am but just absolutely love how you see the world
Wow, what a compliment! Reading that made me feel very happy :)
autumn is the best time!!! i hope you enjoy strega as much as i did x
It is! I'm almost finished reading Strega now and I'm really enjoying it, there are a few visuals from it that will stay with me always ♥
love this vlogg im also currently reading tartts the secret history !
Thank you so much! Oh it's such a good read this time of year, hope you're enjoying it!
@@rebareads yess it is and i am enjoying it very much!!

Loved the edit on this one! Amazing vlog!
Thank you!!
where are your black mary janes from? 🥰
Oh! I got them from the online shop W. Concept and the brand is JILL by JILLSTUART. I got them forever ago but maybe they are still there :)

I discovered your channel through this video. Love your furry reading buddy. Good luck with your move - who knows, we may run into each other at a bookstore. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
@@mildrumpus amazing!! I love discovering more fellow New York booktubers. Thank you! Perhaps we’ll run into each other, how fun!
I have Giovanni's Room and Martyr! on my list :) I read Alphabetical Diaries earlier this year and it was really cool
@@MicahRion oh excellent! Definitely pick up Giovanni’s room soon :) if I can stay on top of things I’ll get to Martyr! And Alphabetical Diaries this year! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Loved the inclusion of public transit directions!
Congrats on your move 🎉 and The Left Hand of Darkness is soooo underated, I felt exactly the same with the novel! It's so humane for being quite an otherwise intellectual sci-fi ⭐⭐
@@UpintheAirft.Zurich exactly!! I listened to it on audio but I’m thinking I’ll reread it in a print format soon because I really loved it and want to be in that world again!
You have me so excited to get to many of these! And you're going to absolutely love Beautyland. It's a favorite of the year for me and I think it's right up your alley.
@@seesararead happy to hear you beautyland! I can’t wait to read it :)
Been living with humidity for 5 years now and still haven't gotten used to it 😭
@@KenzWils I’m struggling!!
so glad to see you’re getting all settled in!! i think i’m gonna dive into giovanni’s room this fall. i think you’ll love alphabetical diaries when you get to it, it was super interesting and different. also yesssss to the britney spears love!!
@@casskrug yay! I’ve only read Motherhood by Sheila Heti, liked but didn’t love as much as I expected. Alphabetical Diaries has such an intriguing premise, I’m looking forward to it! Ah Britney Spears, such an icon! Love her :)
just about done with Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar, probably one of my best reads so far this year! i also just finished how high we go in the dark, definitely a very ambitious project in terms of scope with the amount of time that passes in the novel. thanks for sharing your perspective on it! :)
@@its_eel oh that’s so good to hear! I’m very excited to read Martyr! Yea, how high we go was very ambitious and I think it worked well for a lot of people, I just wanted something different from it :)
new subscriber here! i also read giovanni's room this year and LOVED Martyr is on my tbr this year
@@winonareads6790 hiiii! Welcome!! Between giovanni’s room and Martyr on the tbr, I feel we are very aligned in taste already!
noted ab kushner & yay for more new weird vids ^__^
Yayyy! I’m so happy I finally got to kushner, excited for a new fave with a back catalog and more to come. Thanks for sticking around for new weird!!
welcome to new york, and congratulations on the move! the flamethrowers would be quite a perfect read for a cross-country move, and i really agree with your description of it as deeply american. re kushner: i liked flamethrowers, the hard crowd (essays) and the mayor of leipzig, but never got into the mars room. i'm intrigued by her new book coming out in autumn i'm excited about the new vandermeer!
Thank youuu! I couldn’t have picked a better book for the move, just what I needed. The Hard Crowd is also very interesting to me, I’m obviously super intrigued by kushner at the moment so essays could be a good move. However, now that I know she has something new coming in the fall… And more Vandermeer! What a good year!
the bookshelves look fantastic! i hope the move was okay! and i can't WAIT to reread The Souther Reach trilogy this year with the fourth book coming out soon. i also want the new covers ahhh!!!! also, Kushner has a new book out later this fall! it's apparently a mystery thriller? curious about it but have been meaning to read The Flamethrowers for ages nowww
The new covers are soooo good! I know I’m going to have to get all the new covers to have a whole matching set with the 4th one. I mean, it is what it is!! Ah!! I had no idea Kushner had something coming out in the fall. That makes me so happy! Realizing both the 4th southern reach trilogy and now the new kushner can be my answers for most anticipated releases!!!
@@rebareads yeah! thought the info would totally speak to you! you’re gonna have a good end of the year reads !!!
Your shelves look so good! I’m glad you are getting settled into NYC! I agree with your thoughts about Giovanni’s Room ❤- such a powerful read! I also recently acquired The Emissary. So curious about it! Excited for a lib vlog from u!
Thank you!! Ooo I’m glad you’re curious about the Emissary as well! Tawada seems so intriguing to read! The hard part will be choosing where to start with the libraries! So many good ones :)
The Mars Room is really good! It was my first (and only book so far) I‘ve read by Kushner. But listening to you raving about it I‘ll pick up the Flamethrowers very soon.
Happy to hear you thought the mars room was really good! I really enjoyed the flamethrowers, hope you do too!
Oh, how exciting! Congrats on moving to NYC 💕
Thank you!!
WOW this is so exciting! Can't wait for the NYC content.
@@KenzWils I’m excited too! 🥰
Congratulations on your move! Very exciting! I haven't read all of Ferrante or even finished the quartet but I absolutely loved The Lost Daughter and think you will too!
@@seesararead thank you!! The Lost Daughter sounds like it will be my next Ferrante!
Loved this tour so much! And that cuban food at the end looked amazing!
Thank you!! It’s the best ❤️
wooo new york 🚕 good courage on the move! enjoyed this packing tour :)
@@bibliosophie aww thank you!! Looking forward to connecting with you in New York!
oooh so exciting good luck with the move!!
@@casskrug thank you!! Exciting things ahead :)
AHHH good luck with the move girl! new adventures and can't wait to see how you'll take on the city <333 excited for you!
@@nathansnook thank youuu 🥰 I will always leave a bit of my heart in SF but excited for the next adventure!!
@@rebareads SF will always have you - something I find is that it’s always so welcoming whenever you visit :)
@@nathansnook aww that makes me happy to hear!
Russian Hill Bookstore is my personal fav!
Thank you for adding another good rec!!!
New York!!! that is so so exciting. moving is stressful but hoping it goes as smoothly as possible!!! can't wait for the Manhattan content
@@audreyapproved thank you!! Excited to share my adventures from NYC!
omg you’ll be on the east coast!! so exciting & hope you have a smooth move ❣️
Joining the east coast booktube club!! Thank you so much :)
congrats on the move!!! may you have a great bookshelf in your new apt!!!!!
Thank you!!!
Yey! I also used to live in SF and now live in Brooklyn. While I loved a lot about the Bay, NYC really is so magical that I can't imagine ever leaving. I hope you love it as much as I do! Here's a little list of some of my favorite places: **Fav bookshops -- Unnameable Books, Spoonbill & Sugartown Books, Albertine Books, 192 Books, Center for Fiction **Museums- The Frick, The Neue Gallery, Noguchi Museum **Food - Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shoppe, Via Carota, Minetta Tavern, Leland Eating & Drinking House **Drinks - Home Sweet Home, Gem Wine, Strong Rope Brewery in Red Hook, Hungry Ghost Coffee, Bemelman's Bar Honestly I could go on and on - there are so many things to see and do here! Good luck with the move- maybe we will run into each other in a book shop soon!
Oh wow! So happy to hear that. That is the sentiment I’m gathering - it seems that everyone that moves to NYC never wants to leave! This is an incredible list! Thank you so so much, I’ll begin checking it off and hope we’ll run into each other!
NYC! So excited for you. We need a new book from Ferrante, my favourite outside the quartet is the Lost Daughter. I think you would love.
Eeeee! Thank you! The lost daughter sounds wonderful, okay, happy to have your endorsement!
Omg nyc im so excited for you!!! Congrats 🎉 My hubs and i have also been making moves to end up there as well. If you wanna move towards an ef fiction then definitely the lost daughter, but i personally love the days of abandonment more. But if you’re whiplashed from the headiness then her nonfic is really lovely and a wonderful insight into her mind - incidental inventions is a good start.
Oooo! Exciting! Looking forward to more booktube friends in NYC :) The lost daughter and days of abandonment are both calling to me but I forget she has non fiction as well! Happy to have so much more Ferrente in my future :)
Such a great idea for a video, loved this!
Thank you so much for watching!
functional and stylish.,, a perfect video
Aw thank you!!
