Great info on the silver certs. I've got a stack of those bills to go through that I collected back in the day when you'd find them circulating. I remember when the new Federal Reserve Notes came out, you could spot them a distance away primarily by having the green instead of the blue treasury seal. Thanks for sharing, now I've got something to do on a rainy day.

I have always loved silver certificates, but only have dabbled with the red sealed notes. Had to feel pretty good at that auction knowing something that no one else did. Hopefully you got a bunch! Thanks for the video, and the education. You 2 are a true asset to the community.

I just snagged a "R" stamped note off eBay. Graded PMG 64 EPQ. Paid just north of four hundred. Had I not seen this video before hand I would of had no clue. Thanks.

Thank you for the video. I have set aside in my album two Silver Certificates I bought it from Estate sale at $10.00 each. Didn't know the value of it until you have given me an idea I could sell it for more than $10.00. One of the two Certificate is a Star Note, year 1957. It has no red letters S or R. But very good condition.

We just received a 1957 B back in change at the store yesterday that was in really good condition, never had seen these til then, also we have a 1963 5 dollar silver certificate

I have in my possession save for my son 2 $1 s series 1935a also with the key serial number in the range you are speaking of been held in plastic for 15 + years even still quality paper seems to darken I also have a 57 series star note bunch of other silver certificates saved for him with one and 2 dollar bills so thank you for this information again I'm trying to hold them long enough for him to understand but he's only three and I don't want the value to drop I will get them looked at again thank you

That was fun. We have a pretty nice paper collection going and it has all come from checking change before folding. Except for one we got from J&B coins during a giveaway

1928A series $1 with special paper
Wit blocks XB and YB special and ZB as control
1935 $1 series with locks AB and BB special paper and CB block as control
These series are denoted without the red letters only by block and serial numbers

I have a collection of silver certificates. I had a very close friend of mine years ago gave me two that are also rare .!!! You will rarely find these in change anymore. GREAT 411 keep doing them.!!!

I ha've $1 silver certificates and gold certificates in$1 and $5 and even a $10 certificates. I don't know if the $1 delivers have the red letters or not I will have to go back and look I did not know about these notes. Thanks for the info.

I couldn't help but notice that the $9,500 star note with the S on it wasn't in the serial number range you had previously listed as being the S bills. Is that normal?

@@bbcoinsinc Thanks for clarifying that for me. I had always been under the impression that when a bill was replaced in circulation the serial number was kept the same and the star was added to indicate it as a replacement.

I've got two 2004 one dollar bill every thing the same both serial number are in the same sequence on one bill the last digit is an 8 the other bill the last digit is an 9 what are the odds of getting both at the same time both are in uncurlated condition. Any CLUES of the valvue

Agree. Go to settings, "Playback Speed".. select 1.5x (for this guy, even 1.75x is just fine)
