This was just such a memorable game. With the fights between the two. Greatest unsuccessful comeback in nfl history. The giants were looking really good despite a 6-7 heading into the game. And then the super-cam undefeated panthers that year. Going to be 9 years come this December… crazy!
I guess I'm in the minority here, I like the games that just show the game action with more plays and less cut aways. I enjoy the regular game highlight cuts by NFL throwback.
Thanks for the video NFL Throwback! OBJ and Norman battling it out was very entertaining. Does anyone happen to know any fights or brawls that occurred in the NFL back in the 80s, 90s, or early 2000s that involved quarterbacks?
I am a Giants fan, and I remember this game like it was last Sunday. Beckham was out of control, and Coughlin failed to rein him in early enough to quell his behavior. Norman was not without blame, but Beckham was just focused on attacking Norman, and his dropped passes early in the game proved it. Josh won that battle. And Odell was never the same guy after that. His psyche was crushed.
Remember this game well. It was Cam’s MVP season & the Panthers went 15-1 on the way to the SB (lost to Broncos due to a “tell” in the O-line). I believe NFL asked reporters to stop pushing DBs & WRs to make aggressive comments about matchups because it was starting pointless fights & social media sparring. Josh Norman’s agent told him not to sign the franchise tag & GM Dave Gettleman revoked it & cut Norman so he went to Washington & got a 5 year, $75M contract but was never the same without Carolina’s front 4 pressuring QBs & Luke Kuechly calling the shots so that Norman could benefit off passes thrown under pressure.
My heart broke for Eli. He did everything he could to win this game, OBJ acting like a child and Nicks falling in the end zone stopped what would've been one of the greatest comebacks ever.
One of the best games I’ve watched live. And the fighting was just awesome, I was floored they weren’t ejected (especially when OBJ achieved liftoff for that headbutt) but was very happy they weren’t
This is making me feel ancient… 2015 was the first year I watched the “NFL” not just the Patriots so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart. This matchup, the Patriots starting 10-0 then finishing 3-5 and still only a missed PAT away from the Super Bowl, Brock Osweiler playing so well be earned a mega contract from the Texans… good times
This game was one of the reasons Washington went and payed a shit ton for Norman, had to play OBJ twice. Why not try to piss him off. Well that didn’t turn out great…thanks Snyder.
Shout out Luke Kuechly . He's one of the best MLB of all time He's eligible for the Pro football Hall of Fame in 2025. And he will get in 1st ballot. ●Five-time first-team All-Pro (2013-15, 2017, 2018) ●Seven-time Pro Bowl (2013-2019) ●Two-time NFL tackles leader ●2013 Defensive Player of the Year ●Art Rooney Award winner ●Three-time Butkus Award winner (2014, 2015, 2017) ●NFL 2010s All-Decade Team
@LiamDeege in my opinion Eric Berry should be a hall of famer too. He missed his first ballot this year, but all things considered given the circumstances of his short career. Him and Earl Thomas were the best safeties of the 2010s . ●NFL Comeback Player of the Year (2015) ●3× First-team All-Pro (2013, 2015, 2016) ●5× Pro Bowl (2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016) ●NFL 2010s All-Decade Team ●PFWA All-Rookie Team (2010)
@@milkflameee Earl Thomas maybe, Eric Berry, I give him a small chance possibly. I would take Berry over Thomas because Thomas has problems off the field.
A rough, stingy duel until there was 3 minutes left in the first half. Then the scoreboard went haywire as Newton showed off everything his Mvp campaign had to offer, followed by a classic manning to beckham performance. Did the game come down to who got the ball last or were the panthers the team bound to find a way? Epic game
Funny to me how ppl say obj is only the catch when he had such an electric start to his career until the injuries hit as a Seahawks I remember him coming into the house of the defending champs and giving Sherman problems he was one of them for sure
This was a fistfight between a great wideout in Odell and a great corner in Josh. They are both competing against each other. I guess this was a game changer when the Giants scored 28 unanswered points, but they ended up winning the game at the end.🏈🏈🏈🏈
I remember watching this game live. Norman was unbelievable this season but OBJ got him. He roasted him early in the game for a long TD but OBJ dropped the damn ball
Not the greatest game ever but definitely top 20 game of all time. Let’s not forget Peyton manning against the buccaneers scored 21 unanswered in less than 4 minutes to go
The 3rd defender diving and falling on a guy who was already tackled to the ground stuff has got to stop. To this day it still happens. They preach player safety but u see late hits on almost every tackle. U can’t jump on an already tackled guy, that’s defenseless by definition
I think both Beckham and Norman should have both been ejected I'm surprised they didn't kick both of them out that would have been the good move by the refrees
Backham should have been ejected. Period. End of story. Only reason he wasn't is because of his name. Big name drama queen can't be ejected because then it kills the story line. NFL being rigged all the way back then even. If it was ANY other second or third string WR, he is GONE! NOPE! Not if you have a known name!
I remember watching this game live. OBJ was just starting his career and the Panthers looked like Super Bowl contenders. How time flies.
They made the Super Bowl the were the contenders
This was 9 years ago?!

really like how this video was editied. felt like a movie

@@paulanding7904those are great too. This cinematic style is cool when there’s a story within the game like this.
Panthers fan here just reminiscing on the good times we had 😔 man I miss this team sm
No one threw those back corner fades better than Eli....
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The game where OBJ and Josh Norman kept on fighting each other, so bad that OBJ drew 3 personal fouls that the league changed the rules
*OBJ was literally on a Hall of Fame trajectory until the injuries hit.*
No way I was in middle school when this game happened 😭
I was a freshman in high school when this game occurred lol
me too, I was in 6th grade, and both obj and Josh Norman are legends
Bro I was in 7th grade when this game aired hell no time ain’t go by I’m 21 damn

i love that OBJ cares about winning and shows that passion. It's not a distraction it's the will to win and trying to motivate your team
Crazy that this heated matchup was almost nine years ago! I was surprised both players weren’t ejected for what they anticipated!
Crazy indeed Zach! I remember this game only because Norman and OBJ kept fighting throughout and I’m also surprised they weren’t ejected.

Eli manning was always a threat to some juggernaut, no matter his record going in
Eli the Giant Slayer

My heart broke for Eli. He did everything he could to win this game, OBJ acting like a child and Nicks falling in the end zone stopped what would've been one of the greatest comebacks ever.
Odell showed that he hadn't matured since third grade in this game. He only grew physically, not mentally. Dude was such a clown.
Agreed hes overrated

Crazy how the refs kinda just led fighting go back then. These days theyd both get suspended instantly.
Yeah and next season is when the league implemented that NBA BS of 2 unsportsmanlike conducts will get you ejected.
It was late in the season
This was pretty much an epic anime fight to the end!

Highly entertaining game....thanks for the upload!

my favorite game ever
Could've went to overtime if the defense (mainly the secondary) wasn't trash in the clutch
Giants secondary was pretty good during these years
carolina didn't have a no.1 rb and no.1 wr which was crazy

OBJ vs Norman always had fights involved. I remember this one specifically 😂😂 Norman is such a clown

Norman still walked out with the dub and held OBJ to 30 yards receiving when lined up against him lmao
I remember this one to the back of my head cause I’ve watched so many clips of this as I die laughing.
Odell was the clown in this game. Odell was looking to get himself ejected all game. Dude is a straight-up thug.

Forgot just how good OBJ was
Josh Norman was overrated. Ronde Barber, he wasn't.
So this wasn't the only game that Cam didn't go for a fumble...😡
I didn't realize it until this video!
The wildest game where the refs did absolutely nothing and the day I lost any respect for OBJ.
Newton was good but his EGO ruined him RIGHT BEFORE THE SUPER BOWL WITH DENVER.
Both good players but too big egos. This is why Sherman is my favourite CB. He let his talent talk, and then he gave you crap.

I think both Beckham and Norman should have both been ejected I'm surprised they didn't kick both of them out that would have been the good move by the refrees

Odell and Norman could of been great if they didn’t have huge egos sorry I said it they wasted their careers because of their well respected egos
Obj is straight 🗑️
So many cheap shots by OBJ in this game.
No where near the greatest game ever 😂😂😂
Females are to be seen not heard especially about sports 💯
OBJ must’ve had a dookie on rye with arugula at halftime to get him going.
