Such a great speech 👍🏼Don’t take it too serious. Just a slight difference between Americans (considering her mum is originally German, not quite sure but, anyway…) and Btits. “I thank my family, you’ll probably hear them (the camera showing them)… maybe not. And then Kate Winslet’s acceptance speech with something along the lines “…my parents, dad, whistle or something…” and here we are with her dad immediately whistling at the top of his lungs. I honestly felt that Meryl should have won over Sandra that year. Meryl’s performance in Julie and Julie was the best out of the 5 and Sandra would have taken Best Actress for Gravity if she haven’t already won for The Blind Side. It should have been Meryl in 2009, Viola Davis in The Help in 2011, and Sandra Bullock in 2013 in my opinion.

No, she didn't. I like her very much as a person and she did a good job in The Blind Side, but not great, and certainly not on the level of Meryl Streep or others. It's like when Julia Roberts or Jennifer Lawrence won. The Oscars has become a very "Top 40" mainstream popularity contest instead of truly celebrating the best acting performances. It's more about which movies and actors bring in the most money.

Sandra wasn't a superb actress back in the day but now she's phenomenal. She did a great job in this movie. I'm glad she won the award. Sandra was even better in 'Gravity'
Her performance in Gravity was a little bit flat, but her performance in The Blind Side was very good. For me, it's her most iconic role, and the way she opens Leigh Ann up is spectacular. Maybe it is not a tour de forcé, but it was excellent!
This is one of the most beautiful acceptance speeches I ever heard. So authentic. No pretensions. Given the fact that this is an event and gathering of actors and actresses.
*Helga Bullock* was a famous german opera singer, lovely woman. Sandra grew up in Germany too and still honors these roots beautifully, for example her Interviews in Germany are always in german and she keeps the german citizenship and never fails to thank her uncle Heinz and aunty Christel. She has such a good soul like her mother, her whole aura is one of a really good person and her mothers was the same.
Sandra - should you ever come back and Google the comments on here - I just want to say that each of us have an opinion ~ and in my opinion, some of the parts you have had were ones that touched many lives, hearts and some very deep emotions for many of us. You are talented and so worthy of the respect, love and the awards you have earned. None of us have had the honor to be a "close friend" to you ~ but your spirit and light are easy to sense at face value. You are loved with good reason. God bless you... keep doing what you're doing. :-)
I think people feel she shouldn't have one because this wasn't a dramatic role nor was it one the required much of a performance. But she brought a character to life. This role could've easily just been a campy impersonation, but she gave it depth and warmth. Even though the movies a "biopic", a very cheesy one at that, she carried the film through it's entirety with naturalness, charm, and wit. THAT is why she won.
That acceptance speech was so classy! Sandra is a very beautiful and classy woman who deserves this award and many more! Congratulations 🎉🍾 Sandra YOU DESERVE IT! You are one of my favorite actress’s and I have very few! You are the best!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
My mom took in two sisters as babies, then a seventeen year old when I was in high school. Her love for others inspires me daily. We aren’t her bio kids but she is our mom through and through and we are her children. She raised us and loves us. She was a teacher. All three of her daughters are now teachers, club sponsors, and a coach of some kind of team. She will be an inspiration for me.
My absolute favorite actress. She definitely deserved this. I have never heard a bad thing said about her. She’s kind, generous, truly cares about everyone. Shows it at all times. People love working with her.
Some humour, lots of heart, gratitude, humbleness...a perfect acceptance speech. I can't think of a movie with Sandra Bullock that I didn't like. She's the package deal.
Every time I'm sad and I feel like crying, I see this video. Not just to be moved by Sandra's speech, or Oprah's speech to Gabie, but because I feel a very beautiful truth in everything they said. I don't know, it's something that moves and comforts me. The Blind Side is a beautiful film and so is her acting. Well deserved!
Oprah's speech for Gaby itself deserved a standing ovation. It was so accurate and motivating. Gaby must've felt like she won already.❣ And Sandra Bullock is such a beautiful woman, inside out.♥️
+veda pierce - Sandra is a CLASS ACT.. I just wished the husband she'd married had been one too. I knew he was a jerk by his looks. A bum is always a bum!
I was so happy for Sandra, but in hindsight, seeing exactly how different every single thing is in Gabourey Sidibe compared to her character-- down to her voice, the way she holds her jaw... that was a transformation!! She was truly outstanding in that role.
Oprah's speech to Gabby (I cannot spell her first name for the life of me) made me cry. For her to endure what Mo'Nique did to her, she deserved 100 oscars
Miriam Lopez I remember feeling sorry for how big of an asshole he made her look like, going on stage and declaring her love for him all over the place that year. I can't imagine how much that must have sucked.
I loved Sandra Bullock's performance! Who's with me? 'Cause people just make stupid conclusions about it, since they haven't seen the actual Leigh Ann Tuohy, if they had seen how the real Leigh Ann behaves, they would realize how incredible Bullock's performance actually is!
To carry almost the whole film by herself, act upon almost nothing, been strapped and dangling most of the time but yet, we still get a vivid and emotional ride of performance from her (our lovely sandy). Well, who can deny her nod for the Oscar. Panel of the academy should think twice and long before they vote
What a lady, what an actress! One of best speeches across award shows- effortlessly funny, witty and heartwarmingly touching. Love that she gave tribute to not just her fellow actresses, but to the unsung heroes celebrated in the movie.
What a wonderfull selection of actresses nominee that year! I've watched Blindside today for the second time, and was really moved by the story and yes...Sandra Bullock's performance was spot on. She can play just about everything, drama comedy and all inbetween. And not to forget Kathy Bates, as the teacher ms.Sue. I allways smile whenever I see her on the title role.

This is exactly why Sandra Bullock is my favorite actress. So humble, classy & beautiful!
One of the nicest and most talented celebrities ever.
Never heard a bad word about her, girl next door, gorgeous and sweet.
@@ptulip the film made her to win a razzie lol
You just gotta love Sandy, she’s funny, down to earth, and beautiful inside and out, well deserved award!!🥰❤️
She doesn't thank her husband. She probably already knew.
She did. When points him.
all women know
She was way too good for him! Hope he's still kicking himself for screwing that up.
There were rumours that she found out that night or the night before. It’s why she looks a bit off.
@@alittlelifeofmel5157 :(
Sandra wasn't a superb actress back in the day but now she's phenomenal.
You should watch hope floats
Her performance in Gravity is way better than The Blind Side. Way better. Also Alfanso directed it. She should not have an Oscar. Only nominations.
This is one of the most beautiful acceptance speeches I ever heard. So authentic. No pretensions. Given the fact that this is an event and gathering of actors and actresses.

😭I remember this like it was yesterday; I cried more then Sandra bullock did; she earned that for sure! I literally screamed my lungs out and cried
How can anyone not love Sandra Bullock. She's just brilliant.
Her speech literally melted my heart. You have all my love and respect Sandra, you’re a great talented woman❤️
Getting the Razzie for "Worst Actress" in "All About Steve", and getting the Oscar for "The Blind Side" all in the same year. That's incredible!
Actually, this was about 24 hours after she got the Razzie
she is legend
and stupid, too ^^
not her, that desicion
she is so calm when her name was announced ! GOD ! CLASSY
ikr the most sincere reaction I think. She doesn't pretend & she's being herself
@@ANNASTASIAUTHOR UNLIKE ....SAY... HATHAWAY
Sandra is such a sweet person. I am very happy for her.
i can't believe that dummy cheated on this great woman
yep it was disgusting wtf
Yeah I know! Some men have no idea!

What man
@@aroonkumar9461 they're talking about when Jessie James cheated on Sandra Bullock.
One of the best Oscar acceptance speeches ever - composed, humorous, moving. And some people wonder why Sandra Bullock endears herself to so many.
You are the best!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
one of the most touching oscar acceptance speeches
The Blind Side was a beautiful and emotional movie and Sandra Bullock was fantastic in it.... Happy that she won...:)
Zarar Afridi I was just watching it on HBO last night and I thought I would come here. Been a while since I last saw The Blind Side
I loved Oprah speech about Gaborey Sidibe. In fact, I love Gabby!
All that acceptance speech training in Miss Congeniality has paid off! I love Sandra Bullock and this was simply perfect!
My absolute favorite actress. She definitely deserved this. I have never heard a bad thing said about her. She’s kind, generous, truly cares about everyone. Shows it at all times. People love working with her.
Everybody put Meryl Streep as the standard of a great actress...
Because she is
what was challenging about Sandra’s portrayal in the movie.., the movie was a bore.
Comacim Cards lies Helen is better and even Meryl knows it
@@eduardochavacano your opinion which no one agrees with...
Cody Walsh ofcourse because you are not smart.
Some humour, lots of heart, gratitude, humbleness...a perfect acceptance speech. I can't think of a movie with Sandra Bullock that I didn't like. She's the package deal.
SAMEEE🙌🏻🙌🏻
Every time I'm sad and I feel like crying, I see this video. Not just to be moved by Sandra's speech, or Oprah's speech to Gabie, but because I feel a very beautiful truth in everything they said. I don't know, it's something that moves and comforts me. The Blind Side is a beautiful film and so is her acting. Well deserved!
Her speech jumped around from inspirational and sweet to hilarious. She is too funny.
“Carrey Your Grace And Your Elegance And Your Beauty And Your Talent...Makes Me Sick” 9:38
She deserved this Oscar. She was amazing in this movie. One of my fave Sandra movies of all time. Such a beautiful and epic movie.
“.....and my lover Meryl Streep.” So few get to say that in their lifetime lol
Oprah's speech for Gaby itself deserved a standing ovation. It was so accurate and motivating. Gaby must've felt like she won already.❣
And Sandra Bullock is such a beautiful woman, inside out.♥️
She's such a class act :)
+veda pierce - Sandra is a CLASS ACT.. I just wished the husband she'd married had been one too. I knew he was a jerk by his looks. A bum is always a bum!
+Angela Carleton - way to stereotype.
I was so happy for Sandra, but in hindsight, seeing exactly how different every single thing is in Gabourey Sidibe compared to her character-- down to her voice, the way she holds her jaw... that was a transformation!! She was truly outstanding in that role.
The ending of her speech was absolutely beautiful. Sandra Bullock is an astonishing actress.
A really fun drinking game - rewatch the entire 2010 Academy Awards ceremony and take a shot every time somebody mentions Meryl Streep
Oprah's speech to Gabby (I cannot spell her first name for the life of me) made me cry. For her to endure what Mo'Nique did to her, she deserved 100 oscars
Gabourey Sidibe.
sandra bullok is really everything. from the dry humor to her calmness, to her values. I love her and i look up to her. she really is my idol.
Sandra Bullock 2019 your still a QUEEN 🙏🙏🙏🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
QUEEN LIL-BOOTY yasss
It truly saddens me knowing that right after all this, she finds out about what that son of a bitch was doing. She deserved way better than that.
Crixus If your question is to me, it's about her husband, Jessie James, cheating on her with a porn star.
well, she was chaeting on him with meryl strip hahah JK.
+Many Rou LOL
Many Rou This is so funny hahahhahahhhahahaha omg
Miriam Lopez I remember feeling sorry for how big of an asshole he made her look like, going on stage and declaring her love for him all over the place that year. I can't imagine how much that must have sucked.
Sandra Bullock is so beautiful and classy. I come and watch this time after time, still gives me chills!
I forgot about these 5 presenters this year. These personal touches to the nominees is refreshing.
Agreed! It was spot-on!
She is going to repeat this when she receives an Oscar for her acting in unforgivable.
I’ll get so mad if she doesn’t get an Oscar or at least a nomination for her role in the unforgivable
@@helenatsahageas47 guess your mad now like me
Stanley Tucci's words to Meryl Streep were perfect! 😂
I looooove Sandra Bullock so much and know this video is for her, but everything Oprah said about Gabourey was so beautiful
She should’ve won for Miss Congeniality
Montravius Daniel but Cate Blanchett deserved too😔
Montravius Daniel yassss both are queens❤️
better film than This boring movie... and the girl who was in Precious was a joke.
you never win an Oscar for a comedy. Never.
Sacha Baron Cohen also should’ve won an Oscar for Borat as well
What a wonderfull selection of actresses nominee that year!
