This is a great insight into how they came to the decision to break up. I bet a it was fueled more than a little bit by the desire to stop suffering shitty interviews.
This interview feels really tense, like Mike and Roddy are communicating through their answers rather than talking directly to each other. Patton's not even trying to pretend like he wants to be in the band and Roddy looks like he wants to punch him.
It was fairly close to them breaking up, after all. Also, if you watch most of their pre-reformation videos the band members clearly never liked being interviewed.
@2:34 It's pretty obvious Patton didn't want to tour anymore with FNM. From my understanding the riff was mainly Patton vs Gould. As Gould is the true leader of FNM and Gould had some jabs at Patton during this tour as well.
@@joshuafult84 I heard the same thing myself. I'd be interested in hearing about some of the jabs you mention Gould took at Patton during this tour (if you could share a couple with me that you know of off the top of your head). I remember listening to this one performance from this same tour where Gould, right after (or during?) a well-executed vocal ending to a song (dammit but I can't remember which) added some "plunk" sound with his bass, out of nowhere, kind of fucking it up, and Roddy said something like "That was great, Mike, of course Bill had to have the last word though", and the tension of the time was definitely clear, lol.
I don't know. Maybe to some people. He has chaotic presence and that can disturb people. Most of the time, average person is just existing. There are some people that are always pushing forward and eager to do the next thing. Pure creation. That might intimidate some people. Pure chaos is unforgiving and merciless but it is True.
Phreaker1997 I tried uploading them about a million times, but the video has something in the meta data that keeps flagging a copyright issue, so every time I upload one of the other two parts, it gets bumped off immediately. I tried tweaking the shit out of those two parts, but no luck. If you want to see the entire interview in full, I have a website with a Downloads page. There's a MediaFire link on there for this one. Here's the link to the site: pattoncompanion.blogspot.com
Jack Morrison There's actually 3 parts. After I got this one up I moved on to the other two, and youtube kept continuously bouncing both of them off for "detecting possible content copyright violations". I have the other parts in a folder, I keep revisiting them to try and tweak them enough to change whatever meta data their bots keep seeing. At this point I'm not sure what else I can do without actually cutting into the playback. I honestly don't know too much about that end of stuff. Also been looking for programs or apps that can get deeper into the meta than only changing tags, but no luck yet. If you happen to have any insight into it, I'm definitely open to any suggestions, lol. I would like to post the other 2 clips at some point :)
Jack Morrison Holy shit! I hadn't even thought of that, well done! Jesus, that seems so obvious now that you've mentioned it. Haha, I'm totally tripping about how clever that is. I hadn't seen that mentioned anywhere as a solution either when I googled it. Ok, I know I should probably be doing this on the computer lol, but would you happen to know of any android apps that can mirror, just off of the top of your head? I just gave a quick look, but so far I only see apps that give the doubled image instead of flip flopping it. Eh, no matter, I'll figure it out :) I'm excited to see if it works. I have a few more Patton related videos with the same issue, so if it does I'll be able to get those up also. Thank you so much though man, I honestly really appreciate the help! Cheers!
Album Of The Year lived up to it's name. Excellent album in my opinion.

You can cut the tension with a dull blade here.
9:45 Mike’s got no chill
Faith No More will always be awesome but I will always miss the lineup with Jim Martin playing guitar.

Alex Zuccarelli no they dislike interviews and are just having fun with it they do it a lot
Alex Zuccarelli I think the interviewer just sucks and they're annoyed by it. Asking Mike about Bungle in front of Roddy is just absurd.

Hey man can you share other 2 part on some other service? like google drive or smt
Is mike really intimidating or is it just me?
Yeah just you. It's probably the ten thousandth interview they've given for the album, so go figure.
How many interviews he did has nothing to do with what i said but k

Just you.
He ain’t happy with the interviewer.
where are the other 2 parts?

where's part 2?

this may be a bit obvious, but have you tried mirror-imaging the videos? sometimes that's all it takes

The interviewer actually pointed out communication problems the band had. That's why you hate him.
