There are side paths and occasional secrets if you look for them that might give you an extra chest or something. In the demo I found a couple behind waterfalls. At around 42:45 (and a bit earlier when you were in combat) you can see what looks like an alternate zipline behind a hole in the wall. You proceed to say "anything else here?" then just run off without noticing it.
Tried the demo. I really enjoy the combat loop. I really hate the meta loop. A lot of permadeath games have a problem of being too easy for 8 minutes, the perfect difficulty for 1 minute and then too hard for 2 more minutes, then go again - but this game is particularly monotone by throwing same-ish stuff for the whole first 8 minutes. If I get damaged, it's probably because my mind wandered off and I lost focus. I blame the music and visuals being way too mesmerizing to not pay attention to them :'D
Game looks great, but "Dead Cells developers" is stretched far and thin. Deepknight is THE developer, then there's other that worked on creation, and then there's not original devs that maintained and created DLCs.
"Can't really do isometric in 3D" well you can, but it afaik requires more effort than it's worth for most devs, unless it's actually important for the vision of the game
This game deserves the praise because of the simple fact that yes it’s early access, they still didn’t put out a 💩product like a lot of teams do and use the “Early Access” excuse.
I really liked dead cells but it feels like some elements just overstayed their welcome. A bit too much grind, maps a little too big and just a bit too much repetitivenes
Like the game or not, I won't be supporting it... and neither is a good chunk of the Dead Cells fandom. This game is not made "by the developers of Dead Cells", it had some minor help from two or three people who did minor updates for Dead Cells. The actual lead devs, Deepnight Games (original creator), and Evil Empire (made 90% of the content updates) are NOT involved with this game, and were actively shafted by Motion Twin in order to market this game.
I really enjoyed this game for the half an hour I played the demo, but I think everyone’s just going to forget about it no matter how good it is because of both it’s not (insert super popular indie game here) and that it’s in ea so everyone’s automatically going to ignore it. What’s the point of playing and liking a game if it’s not popular and no one is playing it? This game is *by far* not going to reach the popularity of dead cells.
@@AZ23MJ it just hurts when I’m the only person I know playing a certain game and there’s no fanbase. I wish I liked popular games. For example, everyone I know plays a certain few games on Roblox and supercell games. They’re not playing action roguelites on Steam
Then they're missing out big time IMO. If the people you know aren't interested in games that you are interested in, it might be worth trying to meet new people. At the very least, you should never put too much effort into conforming to what other people enjoy or think you should be like. That practically guarantees you'll be a sad adult later on down the line.
@@wanderbots I mean, I need to like popular things in order to connect with people. The windblown server only has a few hundred members last time I checked

This is if dead cells met tunic met Skylanders period and it's everything I could have ever asked for
I agree with you 100%. Roguelites lose me sometimes when they try to constrain my runs. Let me go crazy with all the tools you have created.

Seen this one before and it looks absolutely sick indeed! Excited for this
The music is composed by Danger, the same artist who did Haven's OST
OMG, that explains a lot. Also, I'm literally watching them play Haven right now - what timing :D
That this has coop is simply amazing.

Deepknight even left Motion Twin after the stunt they pulled with Evil Empire and Dead Cells.
I’m havin a blast playing this game on my stea deck

Its hard to pay attention to your video since this OST is kinda fire.
The artstyle is giving Spiral Knights in all the best ways
loved Dead Cells, ruined a controler playing that game. Hope this one is worth a new controller as well
comment to help the video thank for the good work wander and that game look sick
Not really accurate with the "dead cells developers". That one's just a marketing stunt.
Stackable as a team? So it's going to have multiplayer? 👀
It has multiplayer already IIRC.
It does, up to 3 players
4-player coop unlocks after you get the frog guy... Takes about 15 minutes if you're good.
24:33 You had to vomit on the llama...
Is it couch coop or online coop?
8:23 RoR-like > Rouge-like
The UI screams mobile game but it has potential
I think I've heard every game ok earth be called mobile

Lol "Vomito" means "puke" in italian
well, I hope that it will be good cuz dead cells getting shafted for this game realls sucks
Dead cells had support for years, it's fine that they wanna move on
I really liked dead cells but it feels like some elements just overstayed their welcome. A bit too much grind, maps a little too big and just a bit too much repetitivenes
This game is gonna be great if it gets modded to make it crazier :D
MOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!! :D

Shafted how
Surprisingly, I don't like it very much, it seems too easy.

If you like it, play it and enjoy it. Who cares if it’s popular.

@@MochaSlushes first, I think this game will have a good reception. Secondly, again, it doesn’t matter what others do - do and play what you enjoy
