Hey Rusty my mom and dads gift shop was in that building.. It felt funny looking at Ruidoso now since a long time for me. But thanks for the walk and scenery. I didn't have much good times living there but I finally got my mister and got to leave. But thanks for reminiscing for me. I know all about Sudderth Dr but it sure looks different now. Wish you could have shown the inside but I know they don't like that much. But that was my moms and dad place. We had a gift shop at the time.
I looked up Ruidoso and I really like the look of this town! I'm not a shopper,but having been a cop in L.A. the shop carrying hand gun accessories kind of caught my eye. Thank you Rusty for the walk downtown. Beautiful blue sky also caught my attention as well as the lack of tourists. I found Santa Fe just too touristy and pretentious. I like quiet and nature. Nothing fancy. Room to breath and stretch out. Curious, do they have medical facilities and a hospital in that area for emergencies? May be a nice place to retire. Certainly much cheaper than Ca.
When I was camping with the poodles at Valley of fire last summer we took a trip to Ruidoso and went to the dog park. It was very nice and we even got to see the wild horses that were in the high school field
There are quite a few places that aren't open yet, because they're not considered to be their tourist season for another month. My wife was there 3 years ago just before Memorial Day and some places were still not open!
Nice little town! I’d love to go in some of those shops. My town is full of Generica: McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Walmart, and a million and one credit unions! Boring!

Typical small NM town in a touristy area. Lots and lots of mom/pop shops with cheap regional tshirts/caps , expensive regional clothing, Native American crafts, wooden bears, nick naks, etc.
If your phone is a Apple phone you can turn off all Robo calls in settings.scroll down to phone then scroll down until you see “silence unknown callers”
Although I used to live in Alamogordo, my Vet was in Ruidoso. Needless to say I spent lots of time there with my large critter crew. Loved the walk around, lots of memories, thanks!!!!!
nah, I was in line with plenty of out of state people on the first day in Colorado(1/1/14). I'm pretty sure there is/was a law that out of state drivers license can't buy more than an oz or something.
Doesn't look like a tourist town to me you must be the only one walking that place looks like a very depressing place no action no music bands playing & even the people driving by must thought the same why they are driving straight through not wanting to stop.
It's early in the morning--nothing is open yet. Come on a weekend and traffic is backed up and people everywhere. Summer is horrible--locals know to avoid this area all summer.

I was there years ago and the people were so numerous it wasn’t much fun looking! Lots of interesting shops! Thank you for showing me around! 🌻🌻🌻

Ruidoso just means noisy, not noisy water. I think they're say the wine will make you noisy.
