- President M. Russell Ballard was laid to rest on Nov. 17, 2023, after his death at age 95.
Funeral services for President Ballard, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, took place at the Tabernacle on Temple Square.
Ballard died surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, Nov. 12. He had recently transitioned back home from a hospital stay.

He is an example to His son and he was not just saying the word but, live it. You fight a good fight. I am clean I am clean. This touched my heart today by His word to His son. I am clean, I am clean. A word of a great Leader.
He will be dearly missed. His talks on addiction was paramount
